Your channel is an inspiration for me, I love the way you're not scared to show your vulnerability. Thanks for the honesty and the good work, keep on creating ! Thank you form Belgium ;-)
I appreciate that! Trying to just be more real and honest. Nice to meet you also!!
“Reality is fundamentally made up of the slow, subtle & persistent things which create change leading to growth.” Always remind myself of this whenever I feel anxious about slowing down in life.
Beautiful ❤ thank you for sharing that
Physically slow living but my mind is racing

Mindfulness will help you with that. You will learn to control your mind and not let your mind control you ❤
"Beautiful things don't ask for attention.'' - The secret life of Walter Mitty
The world has gotten too urgent. Every job wants your response now, even when you’re off, now now now. When flip phones first hit, it wasn’t this bad. But smartphones and social media have turned up the speed. While we can individually slow down, I wish lots of companies would slow down and be ok with make a few million, hundred thousand, thousand less per year. The world just needs to breathe and slow down.
The art of just being, which requires us giving ourselves time and grace.
I also wanted to live slowly, far from competition and comparing myself to other's growth and success. Currently I'm not doing well in my career but as long as there are improvements, I think that's okay. We will get there someday in God's perfect time.

Detaching from social media and be at present moment
As a clinical psychologist, therapist in training and fellow slow life attempter, GOOD FOR YOU that you started therapy homie. Awesome video, inspiring. Keep it up!
I for real feel a difference in life!
The art of editing this video, composition, scenery, movements, angles, etc is so refreshing and even makes the video and message more engaging. Absolutely love!
This was really sweet, thank you for this reminder that WE should do what WE want. This can keep us from the daily depressed or anxious state we are in. Truly such a good thing to talk about.
This video was so beautiful, both in visual content and verbal. It gave me much comfort, thank you for existing and I hope you continue creating wonderful videos. 😊
"Style is the mistakes you make over and over again."
Ooooo I like that!!
I'm genuinely mind-blown because of how people like you have such a small following when you have these quality of videos.
I resigned from a student organization we had at school because I didn't have much time for my own hobbies anymore, photography and making small compilation of videos with some cinematography. Never have been happier! At a stalemate of how I want to approach it again since I finally have more time. Now, I'm really happy to hear someone encourage us to do just what we want and not sweat about the details. Thanks, Shua! and keep 'em videos coming!
I'm happy to encourage other creatives to get back to the joy of creating 😄
I love your authenticity. Literally wrote down the question What do you want to do? and pasted it on my wall, a really good reminder mate
Honestly been needing this type of advice a lot more as I transition into the “adult” world. Keeping up with everyone else’s standards is becoming exhausting. It’s been a while since I did things for myself.
Thank you for this.
Love the message, the camera angles, the video editing, the way you explain things. Solid video, thank you :)
Wow your editing just pulled me right in and kept my eyes glued the entire time. Also your message really hit home with me and where I'm at in my RUclips career!
Really enjoyed your video! 🌟 The sets are awesome, loving the art, decors, and that lived-in vibe - so cool! Your video has this sleek feel without losing the warmth that makes it so friendly. Great job!
Your honesty about feeling anxious and enjoying slow living is very close to me. As Seneca said, 'It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste much of it.'
Wow. You just described my current state of life. This is exactly how I feel. Your word resounded a lot in me. You inspired me a lot. Thanks.
Writing, cinematography, and editing were on point! Also, The Creative Act is on my reading list! Great vid 👏
I FEEL SO INSPIRED AFTER WATCHING THIS 😫♥ The variety of shots, the text, the music, the pacing, the message, I love it all. Please keep creating 🥳
love how u present urself to the world
I feel like you just summarized everything I've been thinking and feeling so beautifully haha. The Creative Act is such a good book and that mindset of making things for myself and my audience finding me is definitely the attitude I'm going into 2024 with. Awesome video!
Just feeling great while watching your video. Nailed the story that uure telling, hope i can find myself and living a life that i actually WANT. Thank you!
Your words and mindset really resonated with me. I've been consciously taking steps to live and create more slowly over the last few years. Divorcing myself from a life of "urgency" has been challenging, but it's rewards are - slowly - being felt.
Wonderful!
glad i found this video. really, these are the words i needed to hear right now.
I don’t know how I stumbled across this video, but I’m glad I did. I make and watch fishing videos 90% of the time, but you hooked me in with your style and struggle on just being. I’ve heard that Rubin quote before and I go about my “art” the same way. I also like this idea of living slowly.
Dude this resonates so hard. I took December off from content creation and am currently on a similar journey. I’m a storyteller and a filmmaker but I got sucked into doing movie reviews for the last three years on tiktok every single day…. Finally finding my way back and this video was so much help this morning.
Interesting and inspirational video. Thank you for sharing this with us!
I like the way you move here and there so we don't feel bored. And you did actually. Nice work 👍
Brother i just found your channel and wow. I'm literally on the brink of REALLY uping my youtube channel and revamping it. Your camera work, angles and all are very inspiring. Great work!
Also, I really really relate to the burnout, getting sick and going through the depressive episodes of not creating/being productive. Just happened to me on New Years.
ALSO ALSO, I just started rick rubins book and then here he is popping up in your damn video. Crazy
This was such a fun and intimate and homey video. Thank goodness it popped up on my feed
Thanks so much for this video, I really needed, it was a great inspiration
I'm trying to be in the present too, and feel the same about social media some times. Just trying to find a balance between creativity and actually exists as a whole person ❤best wishes 😊
I NEEDED THIS , THANK YOU!!!!
Omg everything in this video it's just right and amazing the words the camera angles the editing the colors everything thank you for this masterpiece
Oh wow a masterpiece???😅 Thank yooouu!!
I'm a full-time creative too! But I work for a company, so they aren't as keen on your philosophy because of the typical "infinite growth" mindset corporations have. BUT, I have recently been keeping this kind of slow-life, best work mentality first! Loving it
thank u for this. i needed to hear this
Thank you for making this. It makes me feel validated for my desperate need to also create. Subscribed!
Yeah, I think that "finding your style" is something that comes up in every creator's head at some point. It got me when I tried to transition from being a music hobbyst, to earning professional. After some time it was obvious that I was too eclectic in my "sound" and not that cohesive. There were a lot of other factors, but it made me abond doing art for someone alse instead of for myself. I want to do, what I want to do, don't care if it's in style
I'm so glad that this got recced to me. love this video.
I feel you brother, thank you for the video.
Your story telling is phenomenal!
This was beautifully put 😭
I'm pretty sure the internet just adorned me with my very own spirit animal. Dude you killed this. And the irony is that everybody watching this can see your style but you.
I resonate to this so much. You touched alot of people in this video thank you! MORE!😀
I love it when the algorithm be algorithming! The best TED talk I watched in a while. You don't have to find a style, YOU ARE THE STYLE! can't wait to watch more of your videos.
More to come for sure! Thanks for watching 😁🙌🏽
I was blown away how you create so much joy in a video about finding something you lack.
WOW!! I never thought of it that way, I'm really happy it turned out good 😁
I’m so glad you realized this 🤗 welcome to slow living brother
I love the quote you shared from Rick Rubin. Sometimes we get so hooked up on the thought of what others might think and that completely ruins us, even when we haven’t started yet. I completely scratched that thought and just started creating no matter what others might think and focused on what I want to create and share. “Create things that keep you true to yourself” thank you for this message and this wonderful video. 🎉
So happy to help and hope you continue creating with joy!!!
Thanks for this I needed it ❤
Thank you for this
the video is so well done, it deserves more views !
Just found your channel - I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thank you!!
Watch u is like the life is screaming to us "Stop to being a lazy creator, and be only yourself!”. Seriously, it's the first time that I'm watching u and for me, is a big YES! I have thinking this entirely week about it.
Lately, on the internet, people is just trying to be someone else, try to fit in an trend or pretending to be something to look happy, rich, thin, famous etc.. When in the end of the day, all what we want is a simple slow real life and content.
I'm trying to do me this year, no rush, no lazy ass just me. Thanks, for this beautiful video and an amazing message.
You got this!!
This was *exactly* what I needed to hear. I've realised over Winter break during this first year of uni that I have been SPEEDRUNNING through life in the past few months. Now that I have taken a moment to breathe, I realised that everything is so chaotic and condensed that I can't even appreciate it, let alone consider whether what I am doing is coming from my heart, or just the momentum of never stopping (or being afraid to stop?) Thank you for making this video, and thank you to the algorithm for getting it on my recommended feed
Extremely grateful 🥹
So well put together
I discovered your channel today, and I can tell that I’m obsessed! This was the first video of yours that I saw, and it was an instant follow. I could relate so much when you said that you create because you have the urge to do it, simply because you are a creator. It got me thinking, 'creators maybe share the same mind,' because this is something that has been on my mind lately. I've been so frustrated because I really want to create, but I never start, or I always put up that apology like, 'everyone wants to be famous, and I don't want to be just one more.' But it’s way more than just that! It's about creating what you are passionate about and transmitting that to people! Believe it or not, but your video gave me the confidence to start again. I want to make people feel the same way I felt while watching your content :)"
I am so honored to help other creatives feel the way Casey Neistat did for me 😱🙏
Holy crap that intro was AMAZING. Immediately Parasite peach scene vibes, great pacing and shot composition, wonderful sync with the tension of the music and it elevated it to feeling cinematic. Wow.
Geez that movie was insane! Thank you I want to get better with cinematography this year!
“Not giving myself enough time to just exist” thank you! I feel the same way!
That was f***ing awesome. Thank you thank you thank you.
Ah wow thank you!!
Hello I'm from Brazil! I'm just starting out and I already had all these limiting thoughts. Thank you very much, really, don't stop! Success!
You can do it!
This is a really great video. Love the "no other you" shirt because it's so real- just live your life and enjoy the fact that we get to create! Like Rick Rubin reminds us, the act of creating IS the reward
Yes! The shirt is an old merch peace from John Hill the skater RUclipsr
This is damn good and well timed (1/3/24), glad it popped on my feed. Subscribed!
Thank you algorithm for bringing me here. THIS was a great video! Thank you for being so vulnerable and sharing what you're going through. Also I love your shots, editing skills, and lighting in your videos. It is on point!! I am just starting out in my youtube journey, not this channel, another. But this was validating to hear! 😄
You are so welcome! Hope you can continue your joy in creating!!
Its true most content creators that are on their own flow gain a following that may be small compared to others but they will follow the creator throughout life
I really loved this, you came up as a suggestion and I’m so glad you did, I needed this reminder
Glad it was helpful!
Well that is the video I was looking for.
Exactly the explanation I am going through
This video was very inspiring! Definitely taking this into account for my next video!!
Crushed this, as always, Shua! You are such an inspiration. Rooting for you! 🙌❤
Thanks so much as always! Keep the great music coming 😎
Very cool video man, its crazy you havent blown up because the quality is on point with the 500k/1mil channels but who gives!!! I can tell that some of the stuff ive done good was to show other people, finishing some product quickly and furiously just to, say, hit the publish button. But not for recognition. You could easily get recognized for things you didnt mean or be ignored for what is most dear to you, so recognition cant be the objective. What i like of dwelling deep into stuff is the making of, and what you learn from it. It is of no use, just like fame or success, but feels pretty good.
Honestly, I was feeling horrible tonight and I came to RUclips since it's a habit - not looking for inspiration or anything - but you made me think about the issues I've been ignoring by keeping myself busy. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Glad this could help!!! 🙏
You've gained another subscriber! Thank you for this. I'm truly lost right now, and I really needed this.
Glad I could help!
Randomly stumbled upon this video through a bit of autoplay and it really caught my eye! Loved the way you portrayed your thoughts through awesome transitions.
Thanks I really appreciate that 🙏
Thank you algorithm! I really enjoy this video and givin a new follow, greeeting from a random place on Mexico., gracias.
I found you in the right moment! The algorithm works!
Such a great video! I find it funny that the video about slow living was so fast-paced (in the beginning at least). However, it is a well-done movie and I thank you for it!
I’ve always loved that movie scene. It’s the ultimate climax a movie can have.
Thank you for this
Just excellent and exactly what I needed today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You’ve got a new fan. Love from a wet, cold, windy Ireland. ✌🏻🫶🏻
Thank you!! I would love to visit Ireland one day 🙌🏽
Loved this!
You’re incredible and SO inspiring. thank you for being you
Geez thank you so much!!
what an exciting video! i loved all the angles and camera movements! it was so smooth but i'm sure it was. a lot of work xD love the message too :,) i need to learn how to slow down too
Audience that you’re looking for will find you and truly connect with you! - hello 🙋🏻♀️ that’s me ❤️ this is the first video I’ve seen from your channel and thank you - going to subscribe now
I LOVE YOUR VIBE SO MUCHHH
It’s funny you say the right people will find you because I thought while watching this “wow he just like me for real” because I am currently listening to the audiobook of The Creative Act: A Way of Being and I really resonate with the message of your video. I immediately subscribed. Thanks for being such an inspiration and I look forward to watching more of your content!
Thanks so much!!! Such a great book right???
I love the way you shot and edited this!! Awesome!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you for this. Inspired me in so many ways!
You are so welcome!
Thank you for this! The part "I look externally when it comes to finding the things i want to create". As an influencer who has been doing this for a long time, I often find myself in a rut of "I will organise a folder of reels/tiktoks i want to recreate". Eventually, I couldnt do anything except just following the formula - which is completely against everything I believe in. So I started challenging myself for just posting, really. Did it on TikTok - just sat on the bench and shared why I like Melbourne after living here for two months, 45k views in a day. Instantly.
When we create for ourselves and talk about things that matter, it always ends up working. Thank you for sharing this!
Yooo congrats on this!!! Keep goin 🙌🏽
The intro is amazing! Great video🙏🏻
Great video my guy I’m subbed will go on this journey with you
Loved every bit of sentence you put out in such a creative way. Thanks for sharing and making such a wonderful video. #creativity
Create things that'll keep you true to yourself. I'll always keep that in mind.❤
Really got me pumped up and inspired. Great camera angles. Keep dropping those gems!
More to come!
You have huge balls for making a video about this. Its not easy to change one's life, especially starting
Love your down-to-earthness Shua 👊
Thanks so much I try to be myself more 😁
Wow! I'm so glad I stumbled onto your channel. I love your work! Keep it up!
Thank you so much!
I like how you actually proved your point. These are your thoughts and not based on any trends, and this video became your most popular so far. Congrats! Great content man.
I appreciate that!
Your video reminded me a lot of the words of Rainer Maria Rilke, which I used lived by when I was younger. When I "had the time". Life makes you forget about...life. it's incredibly ironic. This was a wake up call for me. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
Love that!
The way I went through the exact same thing. Sick with a cold, then food poisoning, lot of anxiety and some depression from it but it acted as a catalyst to change my mindset and get in touch with myself.
The hard part is keeping the momentum lol
