This film is true definition of epic sequel! 140 minutes long, yet it's still fast paced and never feels boring, and i think it's some of Bay's best work.
This movie definitely has some incredible and epic action sequences like the highway chase and the hummer chase sequence at the end when it crashes through all those houses. This movie is just a blast from start to finish and outside of maybe 6 Underground it's unfortunate that we likely won't get another crazy, big budget R rated action flick like this ever again, especially from someone as talented when it comes to directing action like Michael Bay.
Michael Bay is the reason I went to film school. Because I love his movies, his style of filmmaking, and we share a lot of the same interests...loud, brash action, borderline offensive humor, frat boy mentality, hot women, camera shots, etc. Love this film, it is 100 percent Michael Bay. Most film students prefer Wes Anderson and Paul Thomas Anderson, I prefer Bayhem.
I am sure that little-to-no sources can be found about this, but I remember this. I remember as far back as 2001 that this movie was initially called "Bad Around the World" and Hype Williams was originally slated to direct. Yes, Hype Williams, the music video director. I really wonder if there are sources that can verify this information, but I actually remember this. Anyway, I have always liked this movie. I don't get why Michael Bay gets a lot of that criticism either.
Two is my favorite. I'm going to see 4. I don't think it will top 2 though. Everything is great about two. The action and comedy. Captains house with Martin on X. The TV store and the iconic reggie scene. Great point!! Do you watch action movies. For lack luster non explosive scenes. No you don't. I hope 4 has more action than 3. Or is lat least a combination of 1 and 3. Or close to michael bays action..and I mean throughout the whole movie. Not just the action itself.
I friggin love when they are crashing through all those houses in the hummer so funny a great underrated sequel the whole ending sequence is so awesome.
OcpC. The most epic realistic CGI free car chase (same goes for THE ISLAND car chase scene) in the movie history but as a movie not as great as BB 1 + way too long in length to me is THE ISLAND his best movie
My local paper/critics gave this a 1 star rating and gave Terminator 3 a 3 star rating that year lol. Would you say this is better than Bad Boys 3 or equal?
Nice review. I have not seen Bad Boys 2 yet, but I don't think I'd be much a fan of this movie. I'm not much a fan of Michael Bay's later movies with very over-the-top action. Really enjoy your review though and your defending of the film regardless.
@@ActionJackson1982 Well Im just not really a fan of most of his movies because of the humor and I think that the action and amount of explosions he puts in his action movies is just overkill.
One the subject that the score sounds like a music video:
That's because Dr Dre was heavily involved with a lot of the instrumentals of the score.

I always felt that Danny Trejo should have played Johnny Tapia. That’s my only problem with Bad Boys 2.

My ranking from top to low:
BB 1
BB 2
BB 3
It's my favorite Bad Boys film!!!!
Rogen tweeted saying he helped do some uncredited dialogue, including the joke about needing to learn the words and some other things.
Yeah. I saw that later. Thanks for that info. I knew it had to be uncredited.
