  • This is a quick look at the Yak and a better look at the maiden day. The folks at Flex Innovations have done it again and I am once again happy I bought another of their planes!

    As you mentioned expo is already setup in the aura as “they (QQ and Seth” feel comfortable. My ex300 had too much expo on rudder and I actually added (-) expo in the radio until I got around to adjusting it in the config tool.
    Don’t forget to either use quick trim or manually adjust linkage so the settings agree when switching hi-lo modes. I wish they offered this or the Y54 in 6s… My 232 is lonely.

    Now on my wish list. I saw a friend fly this today. He also has a Flex Cap 232 and I thought that waa a nice flying plane but this Yak was clearly better. He did comment that he needed to reduce rudder throws.

    Are you using the 1500 or 1800 mah battery and whats the flight time?

    • @flyingrcdotnet
      @flyingrcdotnet  Год назад

      1800mah, 4 to 6 minute flights totally dependent on what I am doing.

    What CG do you find best for 3d?

    • @flyingrcdotnet
      @flyingrcdotnet  Год назад

      I always start with the CG listed in the manual and tehn might tweak that a tiny bit but they are always right. I don't think I have ever wound up more than 1/4" from the recommended CG point and still have a flyable plane.

      @@flyingrcdotnet gotcha. I have it at 140mm from the aileron like the manual stated but it feels like it always wants to stall when landing. Do u think I shud move the battery back more forward or back? I have to hold a lotta Down elevator while inverted

    • @flyingrcdotnet

      It sounds tail heavy but make very sure you are measuring the cg right! It woujld be very odd for the factroy point to be that wrong but way easy for us to mark it wrong. If you thiunk you have the cg point marked right I would move the battery forward VERY SMALL amounts to see what the difference is.
