- I'm a firm believer that there is lots of humor in our daily lives. Nairobi, Kenya doesn't disappoint.
The encounter at the pool had me wondering if I were in the French Riviera where I would expect to see women sans tops.
The encounter at the elephant sanctuary had me wondering if there are 'Karens' in Nairobi just as there are in America.

As you rightly noted, there isn't a single solution to all these situations. One thing you are good at is seemingly not letting those rough characters seem like they are getting under your skin. Also you dress simply and therefore seem less like you have loads of money on you. Keep it simple when out and about on foot. Keep learning those phrases. "Sina leo" - not today, "siku ingine" - another day" or "nikirudi" - when I come back.

You need to take a visit to the apartment so that you may experience what it is like sitting in the living room or bedroom with the blinds open. No one had used the pool before, it was actually cold in Nairobi that week. It was great having the blinds open because the views of the city were spectacular. This lady ruined my relaxation.
I didn’t know you have to book reservations now to enter. We just showed up the last time I went in 2019.
That was my expectation but it us now definitely a thing. I assume that's because it is more popular and the viewing window is just an hour.

How come I did not see these videos previously?
For whatever reason, my videos just weren't being recommended by RUclips to the correct audience. Some folks are only now seeing videos that I created 2 months ago. However, I'm pleased that more folks are seeing them now but it would help if you can share any of the ones you enjoy with friends and family so that RUclips will serve them up more to the correct audience. A couple months ago, I had to put out a video asking to help correct the algorithm because my content was mostly being shown in India and Russia. No shade to those places but that wasn't my intended audience.

I love the drama in your storytelling cos I know there's some exaggeration somewhere, plus the coat. I want one!
It was very awkward, I didn't record a great angle of the pool but I is very awkward to be in the living room if someone is swimming top less. I recall changing my shit in the bedroom one day and had to close the door because there is a direct view into the bedroom if the shades are drawn.
You say drama but I try to capture the scene and characters just as they are so that you may visualize being there yourself because I find that there is humor is most everyday interactions.

Linda - I recommend that you find your own voice and begin telling your story to see if it resonates with others on RUclips. Seeking to collab without creating an identity in my opinion is putting the cart way before the horse. There are many popular RUclipsrs that I find very interesting but I wouldn't even dream of seeking to collab with them until I have a real identity and years of real RUclips experiences to exchange with them. I also would only seek to collab if it made sense. In some instances, I might just be interested in meeting them without doing a collab. I wouldn't be interested in getting a bump in views or subs from a collaboration but then be unable to sustain it because of lack of content or an identity.
Keep on smiling and start vlogging. You don't need anyone for you to begin sharing your experiences. Just get to it and start vlogging and see if it resonates with others.
I too am still trying to figure things out but I must admit that I'm having fun doing it. Take what I've said with a grain of salt; this just happens to be the approach that I'm taking.
