- Recounting my hospital stories while I was there for 3 days…I’m technically still recovering but feeling much better just have to avoid heavy lifting which is fine with me lol. I’m grateful considering it was NOT a cancer relapse but that doesn’t mean this was easy either. I was very weak and in pain for about a month but I’m hoping whatever journey you are on - take your time. That is still a lesson that I keep learning. And also: I owe nobody anything…
Sounds simple to remember but when you don’t have your health you feel reliant on others, you tend to feel guilty and push yourself to do things. Listen it’s not selfish to know your boundaries. It’s no one’s fault if there is an imbalance with the level of care. I give what I can but I’m done giving care to appease someone else’s expectations of what I should do for them.
In the past, I have allowed to be treated with a lack of respect which is a reflection of me and sadly what I think about myself. I’m finding strength in saving my energy for myself, learning to say no, to not people please and really understand why I’m here. I'm hoping to solidify what I truly enjoy in life. I know a lot of people won’t understand my life or my “lack of motivation” for a standard cookie-cutter life and that’s ok.
Growing pains ...
I know people aren’t really doing New Years resolutions,
I already did the weight loss thing but for 2022 I will gain self-respect, not people please, be kind, diligent in the pursuit of value and self worth and pray to God that I have my health.
