I really appreciate this video! It's great to see all of the troubleshooting and problem videos, but as somebody who's just starting out it's also great to see routine calls where nothing crazy happens. Thanks so much for putting this out there!
Duuude as someone with some HVAC Experience. It’s really nice to see Techs posting how to videos. I’m ALWAYS wanting to learn more about the industry as well as see good work being done by those in the field. KEEP UP THE VIDEOS! You’re helping People Learn!! 🎉
Much appreciated 👍 with techs showing how everything goes. And until you really get out there in the field 👏 hands on you really don't know the half of it.
A good thang also is check the heat exchanger even in the summer time because that can save you especially if you found a bad part or on a maintenance, because I was helping a tech on a job and he found a leak on a Suction line he was about to give her a quote but I found a cracked heat exchanger also.
Glad guys like you post this stuff, i do mostly resi with the odd light commercial job and boss man never really told or trained me what to do with RTUs, so it was all trial and error.
I heard you say you would clean all the drain traps but I didn't see when you did this. Could any one advice what time on video he did this plz tnx great video
Ryan, great videos! Maintenance mechanic here ,just starting a building maintenance position ,concentrating hvac. Onthat machibe your working on with the coils in the middle of the machine. What's the vest way to do setups like that?
Problem we have is the pm guys don’t get shit done when they’re together, take an hour and a half lunch then pencil whip the entire pm sheet. I can see your point but 1 guy is all you really need.
Yea I’m a pm tech with 26 stores at least 40 units on all the building and they gave me two months to have all of these pms done and they wanted us to start in April and I live in co it’s still snowing out here lol
What do you mean when you say you have a jumper? What is the purpose of doing a jump? Can you please explain what a Jumper is, where it’s done, why it’s done, and how it’s done? Please and thanks!!!!!!
@@HughesManHVAC you would do this when you’re on cooling mode, you are basically bypassing to turn on the heat mode just to make sure it works and turns on fine, right??
They do exist. The rare elusive rooftop water spigot. They bring so much happiness when you find one and it works!!!
😂

The filter claw saving one life at a time yet again!

Nice video! I really want to get into commercial some day so its helpful to see what a routine pm looks like
Thanks for watching!
This whole time and your a belt roller???? UN-friggin-BELIEVABLE!!! 😂 🤣 solid video man. And I’d say their pronounced “cook” for the filters 🤘🏻
🤣 thanks man!

You make it look GOOD Ryan! YOUR your getting a lot of likes to view ratio👍👍.
Thanks Rick
Great video always like learning how people do things. I have a question though how do you jump out to get the unit running? What wires did you jump?
R and w will bring on heat, thanks for watching!
Some of those filters you pulled out look brand new. I'd be concerned something's wrong and the unit isn't working.
Agreed, we preform this maintenance and I can assure you every unit was inspected, cycled and tested.
Awesome video! Like the jams
I appreciate that
By the way that was a C5 Galaxy at the beginning
C5 is way bigger than that, that aircraft would be a C-17 Globe master
I think you're good but curious how are you so confident working on live wires? Why not turn it off??
Hell yeah! Great job Ryan 👏
Thanks Steve
I need to learn more about this kind of HVAC COMMERCIAL
I love the commercial side.
What was the music at the start? Banger!
That was a c17 globmaster. Lol. Ex Air Force guy and current hvac technician.
Thanks for the info! Thanks for watching too!
Love your videos! Question why did you jump out the tstat wires and not use the terminal test pins? Stay safe brother!
It didn’t want to kick on from the test terminals and the tsat wires were available
That plane looked like a C-17 plane overhead.
Thanks for the videos. Really helps me as an apprentice in getting more insight.
Thanks for watching man!
awesome dude. cool soundtrack. subsribbed
I appreciate that, thanks for watching
Glad to see you getting some video motivation
Thanks chris
Any checklists you recommend for RTU’s?
It's been a minute....cool to see a new video
Thanks for watching Jason
Hey man im doing commercial pms at the moment. Should i turn the disconnect off even just for a filter change? 480v
Whats that tool called for the boxes , this will really come in handy.
Filter grabber, you can found them on Amazon or United refrigeration
Nice job Ryan 👍
Thanks Greg
How long did it take you to finish all the units ?
so frustrating to see roof top work like this done with 1 person. at least send someone to help the man get the tools and material on the roof.

60 days 1000ish units that’s about 6 hours a day for one person not hard
@@juananguiano5311yeah because he’ll be working every day of those 60 days without a weekend nor run into any repairs along the way 🤡
Where do you get that grabbing mechanical thing? To grab all your boxes up?
United Refrigeration or search “filter grabber” on Amazon
I had a great filter puller given to me after a friend moved on. It was immediately misplaced 😤
God bless you
Where did you get the box grabber you got to get the filters on the roof
United refrigeration. I think they sell them in Amazon too
Thanks man
loved your work
where did you get the filter claw??
United Refrigeration but you can get them on Amazon
Nice information
Thanks
Your not ''That'' guy but you are ''The'' Guy 😂🤣😅 Thx for posting again ...
Thanks for watching
How do you keep track of what each unit needs after you’ve gone through it.
I write everything down, thanks for watching
Good to see you again Ryan! What printer is that?
Sorry I’m late to the comment section. I will look for the exact model number tomorrow but it is a HP
I've been that guy...😬good video
Me too man, thanks for watching
Thank u for the videos help out alot
No problem! Thanks for watching
How can i source the filters??? Do you have a link?
This guy does pms correctly. He’s actively looking for issues. Most pm guys just pencil whip and collect an easy paycheck.
Thanks for watching man!
Thats the difference between pro and amateur.
What you guys charge for a detailed pm a lot of companies just changing filters cleaning drains and gone
Depends on the customer and the size of the site
@@HughesManHVAC i mean imagine 17 carrier rtus ranging from 5-10 and being that detailed I’d assume you there all day
Ton
All on one roof
🇺🇸💪👍❄🙏 nice vid thanks

Thanks for the hard work sir. Really enjoyed your videos. Please check your email (also spam folder just in case :) ). Thanks!!!
Got it!
😆 your not that guy
Pronounced like "cook"
You would know, thanks for the comment
What do you mean when you say you have a jumper? What is the purpose of doing a jump?
Can you please explain what a Jumper is, where it’s done, why it’s done, and how it’s done? Please and thanks!!!!!!
Jumper wire. Used to jump 24v between r and w to bring on heat. Basically bypassing the thermostat
@@HughesManHVAC you would do this when you’re on cooling mode, you are basically bypassing to turn on the heat mode just to make sure it works and turns on fine, right??
@@anthonybarragan1687 yes, you can jump in out in heat or cooling while testing the unit just to make sure everything is working properly
@@HughesManHVAC thanks!
