Does it only come with the 2 Screens behind the Driver and Passanger Seats? Or can you add another 2 behind the 2 middle row seats for those in the back 3rd row seats?
Please tell me how to mirror an iPhone like the android. Do you have to plug it in using a lighting to HDMI and then plug an HDMI cord in by the screen? Is there anyway to mirror Netflix on iPhone?
The technologies used to get screen mirroring working were not adopted by Apple. The technologies are specified by the Wi-Fi Alliance, and they've been adopted by everyone except Apple. It's built into Android, and the big manufactures like Samsung, HTC, Motorola have put it in their phones. Ironically though Google removed it from their Nexus/Pixel devices. But you might be able to activate after rooting the Nexus/Pixel. Apple uses their technology called AirPlay. Apple only allows AirPlay on their devices (i.e. Macintosh computers, iPhones, iPad, AppleTV)
I just got a 2018 pacifica limited hybrid. And I am trying to get my phone connected. Do I need to have the wifi? Because after the free subscription a lot of things don't work anymore...
To screen mirror your phone, no, you do not need the vehicle's wi-fi subscription. However. You do need to have your phone's wifi turned on because that's how it connects for screen mirroring. If you have an iPhone, it won't screen-mirror at all. Has to be an android device.
Question: can u play audio cd’s in the Blu-ray player & hear them over the Pacifica’s speakers rather than the wireless headphones? If so, how do I set that up?
I have a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica and I'm trying to connect my Google Pixel 4 to the stream. I have WiFi setting on my phone, on. I go to cast my phone and it says no nearby devices were found. I've tried having bluetooth on with and without it. I don't know what I'm missing.

@@Ezequielito936 you have to turn on smart view in your android phones pull down menu first, then the phone will ask you if you want to connect to the pacifica (you have to be in your van with the key set to 'run' but it doesn't have to be actually running). once you OK that connection you can use your phone to play video over the van screens.
Ana Berdan The wi-FBI signal does not use your vehicle's hot spot. It is there merely for screen mirroring purposes. It uses the same technology for screen mirroring your Android device to a smart TV.
Amy Morales Not yet. I've heard that Apple is working on a couple things, such as this screen mirroring as well as getting Waze to stream through CarPlay.
j miller You have to open up SmartView in your Samsung device. Drag down from the top of your screen twice, then swipe right. One of your choices should be SmartView.
Thanks so much for the video. I'm a tech dinosaur. I just want to connect my phone to the car. Mine is a 2017 however. I've done so, but lasts only a day or two, then I lose what I guess is the Blue Tooth. How do I make it permanent? Assuming you know,and can spare the time. Maybe another video? Thanks
the screen mirroring feature doesn't use Bluetooth. It uses the same technology as Wi-Fi to make a connection from your phone to the Uconnect system. Not sure what's going on. What kind of phone do you have?
Hi Tyler, tanks for the video. I have Pacifica 2017 and experienced and issue with the volume control in the rear screens. I connected headphones by minijack and after some time the volume buttons (circle with headphones) greyed out and I can't reduce volume in the back. It's full on and dangerous. Is there anything I might have done wrong (block it or, connected it wrongly)? Thanks for your help!

Just bought a new 2018 Pacifica Limited......and apparently now I need to buy an Android phone....since iPhones won't work with this. Unless I'm wrong? If anyone knows how to pull this same thing off with an iPhone.....please, please reply to my post. Good video, by the way.
S K From all I've seen, an iPhone won't do this. See if the Miracast app will make it happen. Otherwise, for the immediate future, it'll have to be done with an Android.

Not yet. iPhones are just now able to use Google Maps and Waze on Apple CarPlay. Not sure when they'll be able to screen-mirror to non-Apple devices.

No, I don't think it can play CDs. My kids were upset they can't listen to their music CDs. Bluetooth spotify works well though.

You may have to download the Miracast app. I had to do that for a customer and it worked. Let me know what happens!

Yes, one phone can be mirrored to both rear screens. You can also mirror the phone to the head unit when the car is in park.

it's not on the 2017 model only the 2018.
None of the 2017 models came with this, only the 2018s with Uconnect Theater have it.
