I completely empathize with your reasons for moving and the overwhelm of having to pack. I did the same thing back in 2019, sold everything in CT and moved to my family’s home country in South America. You’re absolutely right about the physical items - everything is replaceable at the end of the day. Before you know it, you’ll be taking a deeep breath of fresh air in your lovely hometown, and everything you’re worried about now will be a thing of the past. Sending strength and positive vibes for these next few weeks!! You’ve got this babes 💪🏽
This is what I love about you and your videos. You show us that it’s ok to have a bad day and you are not fake. You are real.. thank you! I hope you had a better day after this video
Love your videos! But it makes me sad that you live in my home state of MA and feel overwhelmed by guns. IMO , Massachusetts is relatively NOT gun crazy -; but yes, there are some idiots there. But not nearly as many as many other states ( I don't think I have to spell them out😝!😅😅) Im currently in Wisconsin..and some parts of the upper Midwest remind me of the liberalism and relative sanity of much of New England. Happy travels!
Yesterday I took my kids to the park in England - it was heaving! Just kids everywhere playing and laughing! I thought you would love it - told my friends about your vlogs- you’ll be so happy when you’re back home 🥰
Sweetheart you are validated on how you are feeling and you just be yourself. Everything will be okay and you have a lot going on so don’t be hard on yourself. ❤
I found you in on Tik Tok originally and was obsessed!! but love these realistic home vlogs I love so much. Such a safe space, feels nostalgic somehow💛🩷❤️
I’m finding these videos and you telling the shipping prices very helpful, leaving the USA after 9 years and heading back to the UK, trying to decide what to donate and what to keep, it’s difficult. Thank you for being transparent about the prices ❤
Same! We’re moving to Scotland from CA after a decade of building homes here. We’re selling most and starting again, but we did decide to pack a few crates. Hardest decision ever!
Hi! I’ve been watching this on repeat as I get ready today and it just feels like my friends chatting to me and I love it. You are hands down my favorite thing about the internet right now. Thank you for sharing your life and light, it’s appreciated more than you know ❤️
You’re far too hard on yourself 💗 You haven’t long given birth to Olivia, I know you joke about extending the newborn stage but girlll…. You’re absolutely aceing everything without realising it. You really are doing brilliantly. Materialistic items can always be replaced, safety & security for you, Kyle and your babies can’t be. Before you know it you’ll be at home, at your mum’s and these last weeks will be a distant memory. Not long now, take a deep breath, remember to look after yourself in all of this. And my goodness, isn’t Olivia a relaxed baby?! What a darling. Love and blessings always xx
All the best for moving back to the UK We had considered moving to Columbus for my husbands work, decided to stay in the UK as we wished to start a family and so glad we did! Obviously makes a difference where you live in the UK, but so happy to build my family here, currently expecting and can’t fault the NHS! Look forward to seeing your journey back ☺️
You got this Caroline! It’s ok to not be fun & happy all the time. Life just isn’t like that. And I’m sure I speak for most of your online community when I say that I appreciate the honesty about the way you feel. We all feel like that sometimes, & we should be able to share it. In regard to the move, as long as you, Kyle, the kids & Missy all get here safely, nothing else really matters. And very soon the move will be a distant memory as you start the next chapter of your life on this side of the pond ❤❤🇬🇧💷
I love your nonchalant attitudes. I think I elevate my own stress. You two are a great team. And I love your unscripted and unedited conversations on camera. You two are as real as they come. But seriously, I’m taking so much away from this video. Moving is one thing. But an international move is probably a whole other ballgame and your positivity is applicable to all of life’s grit. Thank you for that! Wish I could have met you for a cocktail before you ditched the states. I hope you keep the camera rolling once you get across the pond.
I follow your insta and the whole time was like oh god, they aren’t packing. Honestly, love the approach and it makes total sense not to try with the kids around. I couldn’t believe how chill you were so it’s comforting to see this, so overwhelming but you guys made it look too easy.
one of your videos got recommended to me for some reason (I never watch family/child related content) and it's safe to say I'm hooked :D I binge watched at least 8 videos already and I don't intend to stop :D the first thing I noticed and I love it so much that your videos seem so real and down to earth, almost unfiltered version of your days and it's so refreshing! Also the other important thing for me is that you do not use your kids for content, they are there as they need to be. I am so excited for you moving to the UK, I can not imagine how anxious I would be as a mom to have my children in the US in the current circumstances...the only thing is that I need more content on Missy :D especially her move, I would think it's more stressful almost than you moving!
Can’t wait to follow you along in the UK! Spent a few months there in 2022 & 2023, absolutely fell in love. Totally understand what you mean about safety, pace of living & quality of life 🇬🇧
As a mom of two kids I relate so much to so much of this video. I’m also moving (not to another country but luckily to a bigger place) but it’s still so hard and exhausting as to, like you said, “be the happy and funny one all the time” because I hold the household together as well and it’s freaking hard. But you’re doing an AMAZING job and you help me be a better mom!
I love your authentic-ness haha made that word up 👏🏻 but honestly so normal 2 be feeling overwhelmed it’s a huge challenge and a big change 4 all of you guys! Can’t wait 4 the “we’ve arrived” vlogs ❤
Those are good reasons to move. I am an American teacher who moved abroad with family (in South America), and I have similar concerns about raising my 2 kids in the US. As parents we can choose some of our worries, and, like you, I'm glad excessive gun violence close by is not at the top of my worry list.
We're moving house's with three kids within the UK and I'm so stressed about it, i can't think how difficult it must be across the pond let alone flying aline with 3 small kids. Sending all the strength, snacks and screen time your way! Also my control freakness is on edge hearing you guys say he's going to pack most of it himself 😅 Completely get the safery thing, i won't move anywhere i don't feel safe. Can't wait to see how everyone finds living in England x
What an honest vlog. But as you say it doesnt matter, its just things. But feeling overwhelmed is so understandable! All the best with the move back here, to home ❤
Please keep showing us all the realness of life, it’s not all rainbows especially when having 3 young children and moving house not only a couple of miles away but thousands of miles back HOME where you will have all the safety and support your little family need x 🇬🇧 is waiting for ya!!!! Countdown is officially on! By Christmas it will all be a distant memory! 🎉❤ Whole lotta love Caroline ❤❤❤❤❤
Fellow American here. Just found your channel and could NOT comprehend why anyone would choose living in the US over the UK. Happy for your big move! I want to move too 😂😭
As an American in the U.K… there are many reasons! The national health service is failing, there’s a housing crisis. Wages have been stagnant for years. It’s not as glamorous as the movies I’m afraid. :/
Found your social media by chance a love watching your updates. So get your reasons for coming home. Sending you best wishes from a grey and chilly Dartmoor. Good luck for the coming weeks xx
Your bound to feel overwhelmed, it is a big thing but it's also an important thing for you and your family. Breath through your anxiety, there's loads of breathing exercises online. As we say in the UK "You'll get there love" 😂❤❤❤❤❤❤
I just moved from a 2500 sq foot house in the middle of PA to a 750 sq foot apartment in NYC so I feel your pain! Take deep breaths, it will all get done (your husband has this sorted 👍💪). As far as selling the house, I hope it: 1) sells in a day 2) you get a glorious bidding war 3) it appraises for the exact amount you want it to 4) the inspector is an easy breezy dude who thinks the house is perfect and needs zero repairs 🤞🤞🤞 For your travel: I hope the kids nap like angels and that your flight is full of happy old ladies and pleasant flight attendants who want nothing more than to help you and let you relax ❤❤❤ All the good vibes to you!!!!
7:18 coming from someone who has flown with camera equipment Kyle is right you just pay for oversized luggage basically. It’ll be annoying actually checking it in and collecting it on your own but a Yeti cooler is a manageable shape so you can fit it and golf clubs or the snowboard in one trip if you use a trolly. Plus if you are flying into Heathrow they have services to help if you are desperate. 10:16 Mulch is less of a thing at home because we have a very wet climate. Mulch helps your soil retain moisture. Areas with sandy soil need it but areas with clay (like London) don’t. Since I’ve started gardening I’ve found out the soil you want is called loam lol
I would literally be less stressed if I just left most of everything and started over once I got to my new home. You’re very patient! Yes, you are right, everything is replaceable! You and the family are all you should truly worry about getting to England. It’s just too much to handle if you try to concern yourself with all of it. ❤
I'm stressed just watching. 😂 Moving is a pain in the butt. You don't realise how much "stuff" you have accumulated until it's time to pack it all. Good luck 👍
Definitely! Luckily we’ve only been in this house for two years and in the USA for 5, I can’t imagine people who have been in a place for like 10 years plus and moving countries 🫠🫠🫠
I checked a Yeti knockoff (RTIC) from Taiwan to Malaysia as excess baggage (full of frozen breast milk, no less) , and it made it and shockingly looked no worse for wear!
I'm in shock that you're sending it box by box! I looked into moving my things from the US in Florida rather to the UK and for a small container it was $4200 from door-to-door Cars flying down streets is an excellent reason to move to U.K. I'm visually impaired which why I want to move. The walk ability in U.K. is perfect for me.
I’m so happy you have a home in the UK because if I did we would run 🏃 hahaha. Where I am in HoneyBrook Pa - there is never a soul at the playground / parks , it’s like a ghost town / but there are sooooo many children so it doesn’t make sense. Idk 🤷 it’s just really sad. I try and get my kiddos out in the yard but cars zoom 🏎️ by so fast like you mentioned so we don’t last too long. Don’t worry , like you said it’s just things , it will all be okay ❤ sending you love 💕
It is hard being fun all the time. Don’t feel like you can’t be stressed or down, or just be having a quiet day. That’s okay. It is a huge logistical nightmare moving your lovely family back to England, but you will do it. The end is in sight xx
I know somebody who worked for American Airlines, and when they moved from Surrey to Dallas, all their furniture and stuff got moved for free by plane.
Yeah a lot of the times if you move for a company they pay. It’s part of the moving package. Same as when we were in the military and we got out they paid for our move from Virginia to Boston. Was great
I’m just so sad that I found your channel after you moved from Virginia. I would have loved a meet-up or hang. I relate to you and your family so much on every level. -Signed, still watching from Virginia!!
Awww we loved Virginia. In hindsight we should never have left. Apart from the heat haha. I think we would have always ended up back in the uk though but yeah much preferred it there then MA x
@@Mummysflippinhouse I am an American who is ready to pull up anchor, so I don’t blame you. I wish my family could end up in the UK, especially after this election season. I am from Florida originally, and moved to Virginia as an adult, and Virginia beats Florida every time. So, I am grateful the military brought us here, it beats the alternative. BTW…full fledged all American “tuna jacket” convert here. It’s delicious!!
I tell my kids all the time “if you get hurt you’re going to ruin the whole day so let’s not mmkay”?? 😂 YOU GUYS GOT THIS!! - said in motivating voice.
Loving the packing content. I’m just thinking with the baby but a scenario and you said you had to buy all new ones because of the fluid ounces being different. Could you not just bring the scoopers with you and then you could keep the bottles instead of buying all new ones just a random thought I had one I’m lying here in bed in cold England with the heating on on the Sunday afternoon. Xxxxx
I have zero kids and not having any anytime soon and I will probably never move out of the country BUT I love ur vids lmao they’re relaxing to listen to while I do dishes haha
Cellar 😉 The packing random bits in a box set my ocd off, I'd have to pack room by room. I packed my flat up in 2 days with a baby 😂 but I was moving across the road. Now I've an extra kid it'd no doubt take me forever. I can't imagine to stress moving across the pond as they'd say
I’ve seen some of your videos before though never subscribed (yes, yes, I have now!), but this one has to be the most relatable for me, at least concerning the stress of moving. 6 years ago I split with my husband, we’d been married nearly 30 years with 3 adult kids, and I’m a childminder so was moving my business with mountains of toys, car seats, buggies etc as well. Due to the crap house selling process in England and solicitors apparently incapable of doing anything properly, it took 5 months, we exchanged contracts on a Tuesday and moved house on Friday of the same week. Bad enough packing up a house you’ve lived in for 28 years in only 3 days whilst working 7.30am-6pm looking after other people’s kids in the house you’re meant to be packing, but throw in the fact of a marriage breakup, with my ex husband taking the family dog with him, my kids never having lived anywhere else so allllll the memories, (we’d also done a massive renovation and two extensions 5 years before and I loved that house) and moving to a grotty house half the size needing a full makeover so trying to declutter ruthlessly as I packed. I think you can tell why it rates as the single most stressful experience of my life. But it was worth it in the end 😅
The $200 per BOX made my jaw drop. Makes sense that it would be cheaper to sell/get rid of almost everything and buy new once you arrive. You go, mama. You're killing it.
Shoot! I'm sorry you landed in a town that wasn't a good fit. Hopefully your move goes smooth and you settle in happily in your home country! I grew up in the u.s. midwest in a wonderfully safe and family friendly town. I moved to a rural area a state over and while it's still plenty safe, the serious lack of nearby, cheap or free, kid activities is maddening. Miss my parks and hiking trails! Hoping to move my family back to my hometown or a town thats more supportive of families. Love living in the country but a kid can only eat rocks and play with cows for so long before they need to socialize with family and friends. Living in the middle of nowhere is not conducive to that 😅
When we moved back from the US to the UK my son and I came back on the QM2 . You could take as much luggage as you could fit in your cabin and it was easier than flying and no jet lag . My husband came later luckily the company paid for the move so we were able to take what we wanted .
We are moving to the uk in august we can’t not do the gun violence anymore and want are boys to be safe while at school I love your videos it help us get ready for for the move 😊
Got excited that you had a Falmouth top (I live in Falmouth, Cornwall UK), forgetting that there's probably one in the USA too 😆 I just wanted to give you a cuddle, make you a cup of tea and she's some cadburys chocolate with you whilst watching this! Can't believe how close the move is, you will be FINE, I have every faith :) xx
Have you looked into shipping the boxes as a pallet? You probably don’t have enough for a container, but a pallet may be more cost effective than individual boxes 🤷🏼♀️
I work for a company that does international shipping. It seems it would be cheaper if you shipped all your boxes in a container, it may take longer but you might actually save money in the long run.
I’m pretty sure you don’t need to change the Mam bottles, they have mls on them, the British formula tells you scoops per mls, I’m not sure if the American Mam bottles have mls on them.
If you are sending individual boxes, do you have fill in an individual TOR application each time? I know when we send some boxes to my son to Scotland, the tor rules had just been introduced. Although we had correctly filled the customs form, because he didn't have a TOR number, he had to hand over £900+ before they would hand over the boxes, which were his belongings!
Yesss when I moved back from the US to the UK i sold 90% of the stuff we had and just bought forever things when I arrived. Its going to take a MASSIVE load off your plate!!
My husband’s British. I’m from California. He moved to California for 14 years. We’ve now been in the UK for the last 7-8 years. I feel for you with moving. Packing is the worst just for a trip! Packing our house for this move was a nightmare. And we still have boxes in the garage here we’ve not unpacked because we’re doing things to our house. NIGHTMARE 🤦🏻♀️🤪
I am so attatched to objects that I could not leave my things behind. I'm being tested for ADHD, though, I absolutely crumble without familiarity. Hats off to you.
In 2021 we moved after living in a house for 22years!!!! Going through all our crap was insane. As moving day approached keeping stuff no longer was important to me. I was so over packing. It didn't help that the ac was broken and we also had plumbing issues right before leaving. The house was sold. We didn't leave the country. But had to drive 15hours with 6cats and 4 dogs in 2 cars... up into the mountains. ----- i understand why you are leaving. Many of us wish things were different here. If I had the money I'd probably leave too.
@@Mummysflippinhouse thanks. The drive was a bit traumatizing. Couple of my cats got out of their carrier. Stood in front of me while I was driving. I slept for 3 days when we finally got to our new home. Hope all goes smoothly with your family move.
Not sure if this is what you’re doing already so ignore me if it is but if not I think it could help loads! Could your Num fly out the day or two before and help you fly with the kids and bring back a suitcase for you? She can fly out with a suitcase in a suitcase and then bring back 2 full suitcases full for you. If she just needs 2 days worth of stuff for herself that would fit in her hand luggage. Then it’ll help you with bringing stuff home to the UK and also help on the flight with a second pair of hands. Wishing you all the luck and positive energy 😂
Sounds expensive. I can do this! I’m super woman. I’m not worried about the flying at all. That’s the least of my worries actually haha. I fly a lot with the kids alone so it’s pretty seamless at this point 🩷
@@Mummysflippinhouse yeah it does but I’d pay it to relieve the stress 😂🙈. I suppose if you’re used to it it’s less stressful. I’ve done it once with 3 kids and had my partner with me and it was ok but definitely glad I had him too 🙈 otherwise I’d have been pulling my hair out and having a breakdown 😂
Are you going to try and stock up on that formula before you leave or are you just going to switch milks when you get back to the UK? I Bf'd but I was told by someone, at some point, it is not ideal to switch formula?

For your travel: I hope the kids nap like angels and that your flight is full of happy old ladies and pleasant flight attendants who want nothing more than to help you and let you relax ❤❤❤
All the good vibes to you!!!!
Oh my gosh thank you for all these fantastic vibes! I’m manifesting all of this 🩷🩷🩷
MOnty Python had me creased. Hope you feel a bit better. Good luck with the packing and you will be back here soon.
Was just watching Holy Grail 😂
I’m soo invested in this move lol. Can’t wait to see if the yeti and snowboard make it to England!
The P..P..P..Puuh..Packing has me cracking up....Caroline, NO, shhhhhh I'm the only one awake😂 And yes, the internet will panic for you
I’m even avoiding saying the word haha
I would literally be less stressed if I just left most of everything and started over once I got to my new home. You’re very patient! Yes, you are right, everything is replaceable! You and the family are all you should truly worry about getting to England. It’s just too much to handle if you try to concern yourself with all of it. ❤
I miss waking safely, nice garden centres and parks too, here is such a stark contrast
New to your channel. Loving the content. Excited for you to take us with you when you move! Best of luck! 🎉
7:16… Sitting here painting my nails like a fly on the wall is so funny lol. You guys are super sweet and I think Kyle is going to slay like cray.
You’re doing an AMAZING job!!! Keep it up girl!!
I love that I found your channel and thank you for sharing all of your feels with us 😍
I checked a Yeti knockoff (RTIC) from Taiwan to Malaysia as excess baggage (full of frozen breast milk, no less) , and it made it and shockingly looked no worse for wear!
Oh wow! I will tell Kyle this!
I'm in shock that you're sending it box by box! I looked into moving my things from the US in Florida rather to the UK and for a small container it was $4200 from door-to-door
Cars flying down streets is an excellent reason to move to U.K. I'm visually impaired which why I want to move. The walk ability in U.K. is perfect for me.
If you don’t want to buy new bottles just keep a few of the USA measuring scoops and use them for the UK formula 😅
The measurements would be different I mean the formula not the scoops
The end is in sight xx
i ugly laugh at your videos, thanks for being a bright light ♥️
YOU GUYS GOT THIS!! - said in motivating voice.
Ahhhhhhhh - in a pumped up voice jumping in the air haha
Hi 👋 from London
Packing is never easy mateee!
Newly to this channel …. Love the banter! Kyle is giving me Jim Hopper from stranger things 😅
Xxxxx
Yes, makes so much sense
I’m not surprised you feel overwhelmed! I can get stressed packing for a weekend away with the kids! 🤣 x garden looks great
I have zero kids and not having any anytime soon and I will probably never move out of the country BUT I love ur vids lmao they’re relaxing to listen to while I do dishes haha
Cellar 😉
The packing random bits in a box set my ocd off, I'd have to pack room by room.
It’s okay to feel stressed. Moving is one of the most stressful things. ❤🤗
OMG! Yes!... Always look the bright side of life ❤
Hello from Williamsburg Virginia, hope you enjoy your visit!!!
Could you not take a scoop with you then you won’t need to change bottles? Might be easier x
And a bottle! Just to get the right USA fl measurement on it, to match the scoop size etc
Hey, thought Id mention - I moved from NY to Dublin Ireland and used USPS / Fedex and it was much cheaper than $200 per box!
Love all your videos ❤
I need to know where that adorable dress is from! My daughter loves twirly dresses
Oh they are Kyte baby. Best twirl!!
You’re right. Doesn’t matter. As long as the humans a dog are happy and safe… job done.
Oh my gosh 22 years! I bet that was hard! Well done for doing it 🩷
@@Mummysflippinhouse thanks.
The drive was a bit traumatizing. Couple of my cats got out of their carrier. Stood in front of me while I was driving. I slept for 3 days when we finally got to our new home.
Hope all goes smoothly with your family move.
Just keep walking. You are doing great. 👏
I’m moving from France to the USA in 3 weeks! I’ll think of you ❤️
how exciting! welcome to the US!
Wow! Talk about incentive to be very particular in what you pack in the boxes!
I'm newly subscribed here and catching up with your videos. Obviously you have moved back to the UK now but what happened to your family dog?
I adore your humor, and you have a beautiful family🎉🎉🎉❤
I’m from Williamsburg va it’s a nice area.
I hope packing is going well. Doesn’t matter how you pack as long as it gets there
I think you are brilliant to take your children to the UK. It has always seemed a gentler way to live.
Are you going to try and stock up on that formula before you leave or are you just going to switch milks when you get back to the UK? I Bf'd but I was told by someone, at some point, it is not ideal to switch formula?
It’s luckily a British formula so we can get it after the move ❤️
