So we’ve done immigration both ways. It’s expensive! He’s got dual citizenship by default. Just need to do citizenship for the UK eventually. But, I love it here. Feels like home and has for years and years. PS - Popeyes is here in the UK!

I absolutely love your relationship and have only recently discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago 🥰 I can’t wait to see the next chapter in the UK xxx
I sent a wee comment on tiktok but wanted to send one here as well! I'm obsessed with your channel and find it extra relatable because I'm a Canadian, living the the UK with a British hubby and a nearly 8 month old baby. We've been on the spouse visa for a few years now (just extended it for the first time actually) so it's so nice to hear you talk about it! Also LOVING the banter you have with each other and love love love the fact that Kyle can take a joke like a Brit or Aussie as it's hard to find Americans and Canadians that know how to banter. Anyways, long time watcher on tiktok but just discovered your RUclips and have a feeling it'll be my fave channel now ❤😅
Love the banter I love you guys so much and as others have stated love how you don’t edit out certain things makes it relatable, and I hope you nothing but happiness as you move❤
Caroline I think if uk doesn’t work out come to Ireland! You love the food already (I saw chef sauce!) and Kyle there is an American football tournament which is huge every year in Dublin! Also my sister has to eat her food separately - I pile it all on!! Also in Ireland everything is a “yoke”. Like “that yoke there”, “where is the yoke” “what is that yoke” “pass me that yoke there” its Irish slang for something that you can't remember the name of
Has Kyle seen “Little Britain”? I would love to see his reactions to this. Love watching you all. Im so hungry and now want to try popeyes. Following from the South Coast in the UK! Chin chin 🍾 😘
I'm an American living in the UK for the last 20 years and I LOVE it here. You get over the fact shops aren't open as late...I don't shop very often anymore. Buying groceries by 4pm on a Sunday is still something I forget but there's usually a co-op nearby. I like David Lloyd and there's a nice Nuffield Health gym where I live... but of course depends where you are. My husband is Scottish but we cook a lot of Mexican food at our house. I've never been a major sauce person so gravy still goes on the side - some parts of England are all about drowning everything in sauce...I can't do it. Salads on the side for me too!!
Not sure how but I had no idea Kyle was ex military. I can relate, my husband is the same and has been out 2 years, it’s the best! So much freedom after
I absolutely love you guys. You definitely need to come up north when you get settled. It’s beautiful ‘up ere’. My girls are very close in age to Charlie and Olivia and we have some cracking soft play. Good luck with the move. Xx
I totally get it about it being scary to send kids to school here in the US. I’m so glad my girls are almost done with school. That’s sad for me to think that way, but it’s true. If I was in your position I’d do the same thing. ❤
Thank you for your support 🩷 I’m sorry you go through and know they will be out of school soon. We are all just doing our best with what we have aren’t we 🩷🩷
and the worst part is, you tend to get used to seeing the police at school and hearing about school lockdowns. It’s a place I swore I’d never be, but here I am.
So excited for you moving back. I’m from Surrey too (also Caroline, also married to an American living in the northeast, we have four kiddos and are done). I miss the UK a lot, but mainly my family. It’ll be sooo nice to have time with your mum!! 🥰 Don’t think moving back is a prospect for us anytime soon so living through your experience vicariously. 😂 Have you taken your kids to Bocketts Farm? My kids love it there. And Guildford Spectrum for swim. They also adore Peppa Pig World at Paulton’s Park down near Southampton. Like you, gun violence terrifies me. It’s one of the main reasons I’d like to move back also. 😢
Everything here is smaller - and often more expensive! Like the houses especially at the moment. Some terraced houses in decent areas are half a million and you’re squished between two families sharing walls. I think possibly the negativity of British people and how we don’t support each other/don’t like seeing each others success might take an adjustment period. A lack of drive-throughs and the difference in service attitudes maybe? I really hope he likes it! Keep us updated with honest opinions on the move!
Hmmm the housing prices are pretty similar to where we live now in the USA. We live in pretty much Boston and it’s very expensive. So not too much of a shock in move for us. We already had that shock moving from a more southern state to a northern state luckily. So the blow isn’t there. One less thing to shock him 😂
I think Kyle will find new hobbies plus you are on the doorstep to Europe for snowboarding. I moved to France 18 years ago and have regretted it, missed my family, my country, culture. The UK has really nice people. I think Kyle will have some struggles but he is a tough guy and a survivor. I hope he finds a great job and new friends quickly.
Kyle your comments about why you are moving made me so grateful I am in Canada (thank you for your service). You will love England and you can watch all the major sports with season long subscriptions. Though I hear they play hockey in the UK. Don't worry about bland food, friends from North America (even RUclips ones) can airship you hot sauce!!
Totally understand your reasoning for leaving the US! Kyle, I feel you about the sports teams (huge NFL & NCAA football person over here), hopefully you can get a good nfl game in next seasons schedule in England! As someone who wants to be a mom and is family planning with my fiance, I fully understand the safety concern with kids. I agree, this is not the America I’m at all proud of. Prayers don’t mean shit when these horrendous things happen! Healthy, safe babies is what matters most!! All my best to you guys ❤❤
You will miss America, England is not perfect but it can be a quaint little island. Find the group of friends that fit your mindset and activities for the moments of escapism and I think you could be happy here. 9B4M The Family Adventures are a great example of an American family who have absolutely made the most out of moving to the UK whilst adding to their kids experiences. Best of luck to you both.
Oi caught on to your channel as you were having the baby and love it. You are great Caroline. Love you're humor and accent. Are you staying on the tube?. I'm in LA and Popeyes was born here and very popular. Glad you like it. Going to keep following and hope you continue.
I'm an Army brat (US) Dad was 9 years in the US Army and 11 years in the USAF, we lived in Germany, the States, Italy and Dad's final posting was the UK, that was a long time ago!!! Dad retired in 1976 from the military, not working in general, and never left the UK, he is a resident alien and has the indefinite right to live here, he is almost 90! Myself, my brother and sister all have dual nationality, Mum was British. Although we have always been a very long way from my American family, (who, coincidentally are from Salem MA and the North Shore area)still feel very close to them as the contact has always been there, made even easier these days through social media etc. I'm sure Kyle will be absolutely fine, he seems pretty easy going and being ex military knows what it's like to move to new places. I would say, don't limit yourself just to the South, travel the UK, it's a beautiful country, yes it has it's faults...nowhere is perfect!! Plus you'll have mainland Europe on the doorstep. I've waffled, sorry. My Dad has never regretted staying in the UK because he always believed it was best for us as a family. Anyhoo, all the best with the move, and looking forward to seeing how it all pans out.
Yes it’s great now with things like social media and even WhatsApp. For me being in the USA I know I wouldn’t have survived with one expensive landline call a week and letters to my friends and family. We are so lucky nowadays. Plus east coast USA is not too long of a flight at all so we will definitely be back for visits ❤
You'll have a better quality of life in the UK. I live in Scofland and its beautiful. My ex was from Pennsylvania and we broke up because i did not want to move to America. Dont get me wrong, all of our nations are being run by corrupt people and bankers, but ij comparison to America i know its a better quality of life. Its not that extreme here Kyle, you'll do fine and I'm sure you are going to enhoy it. This will bring you all peace as a family. We need good ex military men in the UK. 🙏🏻🌼
@@MummysflippinhouseAw thanks for responding sweetie 🥰 you will have a great life I just know it. There's so many benefits to multi generational living. You could do a series on that possibly 👍🏻 so exiting good luck with the move 💕

Omg Kyle, u haven’t lived mate, I’m Aussie and we’re a lot like the poms! Mix that shit together yum it’s bubble n squeak. N as for swearing, the poms are troopers at that! this journey is going to open Kyle’s eyes and life will be soo exciting! And if not come to Australia we’ll look after u,u guys would luv it here!
I'm British and have a Canadian partner, we just moved back to the UK from Canada and it's so true how the story is different coming this way than me going over there! We used Worldwide Animal Travel to bring our dog here :)
We are living in Canada and want to move back to the uk (both from the uk) I’m overwhelmed by how much there is to do. We have houses in Canada, 2 kids, a dog and house bunny. How do we start this move back!? Haha
I love how Americans seem to think everything closes early in the uk. I live in Brighton, which is only one counties over from Surrey. And we have multiple shops open 24/7 with food & drink inc alcohol, and we have so many food delivery options, we even have popeyes in Brighton!
This is so random, I’d never heard of Popeyes before watching this video today (I’m from England) then randomly driving round Northampton earlier collecting something from FB and we drive past a POPEYES 😲 after seeing how much you guys loved it we swung by and am now also obsessed!
My husband and I spend 24/7 together, I may go to the post office once a week on my own or something but that’s it. We live together, work together, walk the dog together even cook together. He can do whatever he likes and so can I. I just don’t want to and he says he doesn’t either. At Christmas I enjoy going Xmas shopping alone but that’s it.
My husband is from the UK and we are too both so done with the USA but it seems like such a huge mountain to actually relocate (he’s lived here 18 years). I hope we can escape someday!
My husband’s best friend grew up in Cheshire. They are both 6’5”. My husband said he felt like he was too big for everything in England. The beds, the glassware, doorways, clothing, food portions and especially the cars were too small to be comfortable for him. He feels like a bull in a china shop every time we travel to Europe. (He’s an unusually tall Italian) Hope Kyle loves the UK 🇬🇧 and that your whole family thrives there.
Things do not close that early in the UK. Asda is open 24 hours except Sundays when it closes at 4pm. Most Express stores and corner shops are open on Sundays. Town (shopping centres), and grocery shops are also open on Sundays, it’s just shorter hours; where I live Sunday opening hours are 11am-5pm. We have big gyms and 24 hour gyms. We have takeouts that close in the early hours of the morning. I once ordered food after midnight whilst pulling an all-nighter. Restaurants aren’t typically open past 11pm, I’ll give you that.
I know obviously it's no where near the same, because your move is massive. But my partner left England and we moved to NI (my home country) and he's the happiest he's been in our whole relationship. My biggest fear was him being unhappy, but it was the best thing for us.
My mum lives in Kingston and best friend in Epsom while I am currently in Sarf London like your brother. Now I am older and my kids grown up, I am hoping to go home in the next couple of years. Probably bump into you at David Lloyd Epsom in the summer! 😂 Tell Kyle it is not a glorified YMCA, far too expensive! They have added a new spa which is great.
I so enjoy the two of you !! AND I THINK YOUR DECISION TO GO TO UK IS BRILLIANT .I have an American husband and couldnt live there because of the crime etc .New Zealand is so much safer Sending warm greetings & aroha from New Zealand
I’m so glad you are all happy in NZ. Iv been a few times when I worked for emirates and it is one of my fav places. I hope to be able to take Kyle and my kids one day ❤
I’m on a UK spousal visa - hopefully going perm res at the end of this year (from NZ). It’s hilarious filling in the extension for that visa and writing out all of my “parental duties” for the kids 😂😂😂 also, have started prepping for the life in the UK test. Got some of my UK friends & family to try a practice test & not many could pass it haha 😂
I think it’s so ironic that so many Americans are moving to the UK! Anyway, just stumbled across your channel, will do a bit of a binge watch and will subscribe. Don’t worry there is Popeyes on Uber Eats. I believe it came to London last year. And your man doesn’t have to worry about spicy food. Just about every country is represented in London from Caribbean African different types of Asian cuisine you name it it’s here. Good luck in your journey back Home. I actually thought Tennessee was one of the better states to live in the USA.
Completely understand your and Kyle's concerns with this country. We had a shooting here in New York State at Tops grocery store in Buffalo. Absolutely horrific. All depending how the election goes too. Leaving is a thought for my adult son and myself(widowed 26 yrs this yr). Does your Mom have room for us too(good cooks and babysitters)😂😂. Seriously I am excited for you to bring us on this adventure. House hunting, etc. Peace of mind is an important thing and unfortunately not all the politicians here are willing to give us that. 😊❤
Caroline reminds of my european aunts, my parents are my only family in the usa and I'm an only child. My mom did absolutely everything an auntie is meant to do as it's been just my parents and I since i was born.
Not Kyle versus Kingdom. Just Kyle’s Kingdom. It’ll soon be his home here so I think he has entitlement to some ownership, once here. Love to see uk from his perspective. ….and yours again! And the kids’. 🇬🇧
Just watched and sorry if you have already been told this….. but game changer!! We now have popeyes in the UK! And I will 1000% drive out of my way to get it! Best chicken ever (imo) xxxxx
We moved from New Zealand to London and you'll get used to most things (my husband is a huge NFL/ NZ Rugby fan and he was able to watch all his sports). But the lack of aircon was a killer. If it's over 23 degrees, London is melting! It's the houses, they are built to hold heat. Invest in aircon asap!
I love how you don’t edit out of the real moments of your marriage. It’s so relatable

I found you guys a few days ago and I must say I consumed your videos with such enthusiasm, I'd be able to write a essay about it. But loved being able to get to know you better and looking forward to your move and all the things you'll bring.
I am convinced that in every marriage there is someone that's always trying to talk and someone that interrupts and I will not be proved otherwise 😂😂😂❤❤❤ great video❤
This is such a wholesome video!!!! I've been watching you on TikTok since before Charlie was born!
Oh my gosh you’ve been with me a while. Thank you so much 🩷🩷🩷
@@Mummysflippinhouse you are so welcome!!! You have a beautiful family 🥰
So excited for you guys! I loved to the U.K. from America to be with my now husband in 2008 and love it. Best of luck ❤
I absolutely love your relationship and have only recently discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago 🥰 I can’t wait to see the next chapter in the UK xxx
Aww thank you Stephanie 🩷🩷
I sent a wee comment on tiktok but wanted to send one here as well! I'm obsessed with your channel and find it extra relatable because I'm a Canadian, living the the UK with a British hubby and a nearly 8 month old baby. We've been on the spouse visa for a few years now (just extended it for the first time actually) so it's so nice to hear you talk about it! Also LOVING the banter you have with each other and love love love the fact that Kyle can take a joke like a Brit or Aussie as it's hard to find Americans and Canadians that know how to banter. Anyways, long time watcher on tiktok but just discovered your RUclips and have a feeling it'll be my fave channel now ❤😅
I love you both so much! I’m so excited for this next chapter for your family!
Love the banter I love you guys so much and as others have stated love how you don’t edit out certain things makes it relatable, and I hope you nothing but happiness as you move❤
Love this!!!! Good luck on the move. Wishing you guys all the best. Your relationship is just so real and loving.
Like “that yoke there”, “where is the yoke” “what is that yoke” “pass me that yoke there” its Irish slang for something that you can't remember the name of
Yeah it’s the perfect in between UK and US!
Excited to see how life unfolds for you all in the UK! Really enjoy these videos of you two.
Just found your channel and I love it I’ve been watching your videos you’re both so relatable.
Has Kyle seen “Little Britain”? I would love to see his reactions to this. Love watching you all. Im so hungry and now want to try popeyes. Following from the South Coast in the UK! Chin chin 🍾 😘
Omg you need to try Popeyes. There are a few in the uk now. I heard Brighton does. Road trip!
Nothing to say except I love this channel ❤
Oh and…we have Popeyes here now!! There’s one in Richmond and it’s aaaaaace x
Richmond like London/surrey Richmond? If so woohoo!
@@Mummysflippinhouse yep! Right outside the station…#blessedinnit 💅💚
So much freedom after
Yes he did almost 10 years 🩷
I absolutely love you guys.
I just can’t wait for your videos in England! I’ve always wanted to move there myself
So excited for you moving back. I’m from Surrey too (also Caroline, also married to an American living in the northeast, we have four kiddos and are done). I miss the UK a lot, but mainly my family. It’ll be sooo nice to have time with your mum!! 🥰
Don’t think moving back is a prospect for us anytime soon so living through your experience vicariously. 😂
Have you taken your kids to Bocketts Farm?
A Popeyes just opened in Richmond! I had it the other day and it was a gamechanger
Isn’t it SO GOOD!
Sorry for typos it's freezing in Scotland lol
Aww thank you. Yes we are very much looking forward to our new life and it’s getting so close now 🩷
@@MummysflippinhouseAw thanks for responding sweetie 🥰 you will have a great life I just know it. There's so many benefits to multi generational living. You could do a series on that possibly 👍🏻 so exiting good luck with the move 💕
Scottish people say bawbags lol
Love Kyle’s humour coming through. Does he have a job lined up in the UK? X
He will hopefully transfer. His company is a large international company luckily and moving is very common ❤
You two are great! Love watching you! So real!
Absolutely love how real you guys are - thank you! Need more of this kind of content in my life! 💖 from a UK Mama that is also drinking a glass of oyster bay as I watch this 😅
Omg Kyle, u haven’t lived mate, I’m Aussie and we’re a lot like the poms! Mix that shit together yum it’s bubble n squeak. N as for swearing, the poms are troopers at that! this journey is going to open Kyle’s eyes and life will be soo exciting!
And if not come to Australia we’ll look after u,u guys would luv it here!
Kyle, you're missing out on the Yorkshire pudding stuffed with all the veg, potatoes, meat and gravy. Its like the perfect yorkie sandwich 😅
Omg you did! Wow!
That is such a sad existence
That's cute ❤
I’m so sorry, but little Olivia just staring and listening to the convo has me dying 😂❤
My husband is from the UK and we are too both so done with the USA but it seems like such a huge mountain to actually relocate (he’s lived here 18 years). I hope we can escape someday!
Love it! Your kids will have lovely English accents! ❤😊
Haha Kyle always says he thinks England is very small
Things do not close that early in the UK. Asda is open 24 hours except Sundays when it closes at 4pm. Most Express stores and corner shops are open on Sundays. Town (shopping centres), and grocery shops are also open on Sundays, it’s just shorter hours; where I live Sunday opening hours are 11am-5pm. We have big gyms and 24 hour gyms. We have takeouts that close in the early hours of the morning. I once ordered food after midnight whilst pulling an all-nighter. Restaurants aren’t typically open past 11pm, I’ll give you that.
I’m so thrilled you’re moving to the UK.
Ooo you guys are adorable!!!! Good luck with the move!
I love these two😂first video I've ever seen from them but they made me laugh quite a few times especially that 3 k's comment😂
I so enjoy the two of you !! AND I THINK YOUR DECISION TO GO TO UK IS BRILLIANT .I have an American husband and couldnt live there because of the crime etc .New Zealand is so much safer
Sending warm greetings & aroha from New Zealand
I’m so glad you are all happy in NZ. Iv been a few times when I worked for emirates and it is one of my fav places. I hope to be able to take Kyle and my kids one day ❤
I’m on a UK spousal visa - hopefully going perm res at the end of this year (from NZ). It’s hilarious filling in the extension for that visa and writing out all of my “parental duties” for the kids 😂😂😂 also, have started prepping for the life in the UK test. Got some of my UK friends & family to try a practice test & not many could pass it haha 😂
This is so exciting. Good luck! Shame you're not coming to the North West of Blighty, I think you're ace xx
We will defo come visit!
I’m follower here… can’t wait to see Kyle in the UK it’s gonna be hilarious 😂
American married to a Brit living in Surrey here! 👋🏻 They have several Popeyes dotted around here. 😊
Do they have biscuits?
@@laurenanderson7330YES!!
There’s loads of American sports on tv on this side of the pond now 😎, hopefully the ones you like.
I'm cracking up an how real y'all are! 😂
Hi from your CT neighbors! 👋🏻
You two are couple goals!! ❤
Oh bless thank you. Definitely not perfect but happy not to be 🩷
I love you guys . Can’t wait for England vlogs
You just mentioned all the reasons that I am moving back to London permanently in the next couple of months with my kids.
Hahahahaha you guys are great! I'm mostly on Kyle's side for the food conversation.
