I ve seen countless vids of the WSBB doing out-of-this-world squats, pulls and benches, but fuck this man, nothing comes even close seeing 300+ pound Dave Hoff doing 44 inches jumps!!!!! Insane
I'm surprised a place like Westside has assistance machines for dips and pull ups. But then I think, most of these guys could probably bench press my bodyweight for a joke and I'm coming up to 90KG now. The mass these guys have is crazy!
I know a lot of guys will say westside doesn't go deep enough, but honestly I'm not sure. No, these lifts wouldn't pass in the IPF, but imo IPF requires too much depth by some judges. The rule book states that the hip crease has to be just below the surface of the knee. Now, it's hard to see in this video, but it seems to me they are actually reaching depth, with some exceptions. They should do a video filming from the side. I'm not a squat expert though, so I could be wrong.
They train on boxes 2 inches above depth, at depth, and 2 inches below depth for variation and to strengthen different parts of the squat. Unfortunately they have had high squats passed but this is the judges fault not lifters.
The night crew and morning crew train quite differently. Go to Dmitry Butakov's channel and that'll give you a better idea of the "traditional" westside workouts going on the last year or 2

Most likely afterwards. Postactivation potentiation. The potentiating stimulus of the max effort squats increased the jump height
