Windows 10 Power Plan Keeps Changing to / Stuck in High Performance FIX (but not really)

    My issue was due to Avast Game mode
    If your using Avast Anti-Virus disable the automatically add "do not disturb" option
    and also uncheck the maximize performance option

    thanks,saw what to filter for in event viewer and in my case it was steam vr.didnt find how to disable it in steam so i set the group policy to the balanced power plan guid

    When I activate ult pef in powers shell it doesn't show up

      im having the same problem i used the ultimate performance plan but nothing shows up in my power plan only high performance and power saver , balance mode

      @@fsgtoaster2340 Ultimate performance sounds like some custom plan that a gaming company made up. I don't think it's any different from Windows's high performance mode

      @@YeonDaBin Which thing doesn't appear? If you have group policy edit, you're half way there I think
      Honestly, the root of this is some program changing it, so if you can identify it, you can probably fix it properly. The usual causes I've found are either gaming or fan control software
