Takashi Tsunoda is a pioneer of a jazz banjo in Japan and the jazz guitar.

高校生の時、初めて聴いて以来大好きな曲です。この曲は第一次世界大戦の頃作られた曲だと記憶しています。
I have been involved with Jazz since 1957 in Germany and from the 1970s in Malaysia as organiser of concerts and of jazz circles. This is the first time that I have heard a Japanese Dixieland Band and I really like it a lot. They are so good and definitely comparable with Dixieland Bands of Europe.
This is by far the best version of this song I have ever heard. Simply astounding.

My grandfather played tenor banjo and I’m told this was one of his favorite tunes to play. I’m trying to learn the TB myself and this is one of the tunes I hope one day to play myself. This is a great recording and seems to be fairly straightforward without too much improvisation so as to make it too difficult to learn. Thanks for posting.
1981～1983の間にNHK-FMのゴールデンジャスフラッシュという番組の冒頭に掛かったのが紛れもなくこの演奏ですが、いソノてㇽヲ先生の解説を思い出せず、勝手に大戦前の演奏と長年誤認しておりました折、1957年のモノLPとの証拠をお示し頂き感謝致します。
あの頃のジャズフラッシュ、よく聞いていましたよ ♪
