    I’ve seen some horrible reviews but also I’ve seen some people have massively damage it by going over the limit. I really hope this works because it was a pretty penny for what I’ve got.

      I was going to buy a new regular jump box but when I saw DeWalt had this with its built in air compressor I bought it instead. Ive had great luck with DeWalt power tools vs all any other brands. Afterwards I saw some bad reviews that had me concerned. So far Ive had no issues. Ive used the air compressor many times and its faster than I expected. Having some emergency / quite /portable ac power is also nice.

      @@Mechanical_Mind now I’ve seen the smaller one dewalt made and it’s not good at all and also many other non name brands been abused, I kinda knew this one be alright if taken care of, because it’s been selling off the shelves, so far I’ve been very cautious and used to pump tires and it works well, I haven’t powered any corded items and the reviews are super confusing because some say highly recommend and others say they’ve trashed it and made it explode. Honestly it was a risking jump but it was the only one would’ve been decent. When I first got it, the rubber writings did rub off so I have to somewhat guess on it but it still functions alright. My old one that was a Walmart one work well but the prongs got broken off so it was basically garbage. 200$ is not something you go out and spend without thinking but it was a gift so I hope this will last with last resort uses only, hopefully when it’s used, it’ll do it’s job and may get you home warm and alive during the winter.

      @@cashisgreen6383 one thing about reviews is that you will get more bad reviews vs good on product. If someone has a problem they will instantly think to go leave a bad review. If a product works great people dont think often to go leave a good review. Thanks for watching and commenting. I do these videos for fun and maybe they will help people out. 🍻

    I'm thinking of getting this jumpstarter/ power station to replace an old Schumacher that's gone out on me. I've used the Schumacher once when my power went out and I needed to get my garage door open to leave for work. I know there's different factors for each garage door and all that, but I was wondering if this would open your garage door as an alternative to using the emergency release.

    It likely has a simple 12 volt VRLA battery inside just like 95% of booster/power packs out there. The battery will likely be made in china, probably can be replaced with one from Amazon. Most low cost VRLA batteries in these units do-not do well when fully discharged (like any lead acid battery), they have low cycle life (500~ cycles) and really dont handle freezing well at all. Knowing this, it is easy to understand that the battery in this unit will need replacement from time to time, especially if you cycle it alot. I would be wary to plug any sensative electronics into one of these as it likely has a very cheap Modified Sine inverter in it (dirty power)...

    • @Mechanical_Mind

    How do you jumpstart a car with this thing. There’s no on off and when I hook it to my battery nothing lights up??

    • @Mechanical_Mind
      @Mechanical_Mind  2 года назад

      When you hook it up to a battery it should light up and tell you the current voltage that battery. If it does not do come on the battery might be bad. Try testing the battery with a battery tester. Harbor Freight sells a cheap battery tester that will tell you the the current CCA of the battery. If the battery has been sitting for a long time try trickle charging it.

      I would guess that DeWalt power station in this video would power a small TV for about 2-3 hours max. This Pecron station might be a better fit for doing that. ruclips.net/video/n4sm2G9Cyjc/видео.html

    🔴 is there a way i could reset mine. i have only had it for 2 months, only used the air compressor twice and it doesn't work any more (returning it is not an option). when i attempt to turn on the compressor i get a long beep and the number 159.2 shows on the display. i took it apart and connected the compressor directly to the battery and it came on so i know its not a mechanical issue.

      @@dmitriyl.8976 if you live in north America i would advise you to contact their customer service and return it to have it fixed. i do not live in America and the shipping cost would of been outrageous. i took it apart and used a 3 prong rocker switch and connected the air pump negative and positive wires directly to the battery and rocker switch (u can go on youtube to find the proper way to wire a 3 prong rocker switch) , i then put the switch on the outside and secured it to the device using E6000 glue. now the rocker switch turns my air pump on and off.

    How's it holding up?

    • @Mechanical_Mind
      @Mechanical_Mind  4 месяца назад

      The only major issue I've had with it is that the air compressor had stopped working. The little electric motor's shaft for the air compressor was spinning inside the center hole of a plastic gear. I applied JB weld to the gear hole and shaft. It's been working great ever since.
      I'm sure the battery is weaker now and most likely will need to be replaced in a few years from now. It's just a small 12v battery inside. Nothing special

      No, it acts the same as other booster boxes Ive used. It may show a charge of 13v or higher after several hours on a charger. After removed from a charger for several days the battery will show about 12.6 or higher. Its normal and that is "fully" charged.
