That was a hard-hitting product review! Nothing but the straight Goods on this channel. Thanks for the honest work.

They now have an updated version where they got rid of the stupid 1 hour shutoff. It’s a good thing Milwaukee actually listened to their customers. Definitely would love to see your review on it. Always appreciate a good honest review!

As a Milwaukee fan boy I must say that I'm impressed with your honest review of the generator. They(Milwaukee) have been dropping the ball on some of their tools.

Wow those are some nice “features” that’s disappointing coming from Milwaukee.

I really appreciate all of your unbiased reviews. Some people get caught up in brand loyalty and tout gear whether it's crappy or not. Your straight-to-the-point, no nonsense videos are the very reason I subscribed to your channel months ago and continue to enjoy your productions. Thanks & keep up the great work!

The Jackery seems like a much better unit for sure.......too bad people will buy this on name alone. Thanks for the great review!

Milwaukee is a cordless tool company. This thing is designed specifically for work crews as a gap filler for the increasingly shrinking set of specialty tools they need that are not yet cordless. For example, Milwaukee likely assume you will running more efficient battery powered lights instead of plugging in 120v lamps for use under a house. In contrast, Milwaukee does not, however, offer a battery powered roofing nailer yet.

The auto shut off function has been eliminated in later production runs. Older units can be updated for free at authorized service centers.

Brutal- Unfortunately this is exactly what I've learn to expect from ANY Milwaukee GEN 1 product ... some times I wonder do they get tired of using us as their test dummies..

This "generator" seems more like a charger to me. Very similar to the Dewalt power station that takes four batteries. We used the yellow one once or twice for running site lights or a quick cut with a table saw here and there. Most of the time it sits plugged in and acts as a charging station. Same situation with this red one. It's handy when you need to grab it and use it for something quick, but it'll be more useful as a two bay charger. Especially after seeing the new mx tools. A power trowel, plate compactor, core drill, etc. Having this guy on site charging up batteries for use in these bigger tools is where this is going to be used more often than not.

Excellent review as always! You always do the full instrumented testing to back up what you're saying and that is priceless. Thank you for your diligence.

I don't think I could have given a better review myself - well done as usual! You hit the nail on the head - the KEY aspect of any battery powered inverter is WATT HOURS. How many watts for how long. This unit

This is wild. I remember using that exact same model of PPS and the exact same power analyzer as an intern at MT last summer

I completely agree. I just don’t understand why people are so hell-bent on trying to run everything on batteries when It’s obvious that battery technology is not at the point to replace gas generators. There is no way in hell that a decently priced battery generator can run hi-powered gear like table saws and compressors all day. When we’re there and it can be done at a reasonable price, I’m all in, but I don’t see that happening till we have new battery tech or find a way for electric motors to do the same amount of work while using 1/2 the amount of energy.
