I immediately paused the video, ran to play it back for my SO, then we both proceeded to die laughing. So yeah. The afterlife is just the RUclips comment feeds. Who knew?
I watched cari can read's plot synopsis on it and didn't think it sounded like my kind of thing but then saw her do the same thing for Crescent City and it sounded so batshit crazy, I had to give it a read. You know what? I LOVED it. Can't wait for book 3.
my wife and I have been reading this together and I totally agree its fun and entertaining. It has flaws there is stuff i dont like but its like a soapy we get to talk about after we done readin chapters together.
Lol, my seven year old just looked at the video and said "Mama, isn't that the guy who tears out the pages of books you love?" "Uh, yes, tiny human, he is...."
I wouldn’t even categorize it as chic lit as I don’t read chic lit but I read this series. It definitely would be just as good if they removed the sex scenes. They add nothing to the story. The flirting was fun as it reminded me of my dating years 😂
I don’t know why, but I think this is my favorite video of yours you’ve ever done. Sometimes I just watch it when I’m sad and it makes my day, so thank you for existing.
I am also a scream vomitter. I'm really bad at throwing up. It takes forever and it comes out my nose and my eyes and stuff. I really suck at it. I envy people who can just throw up and go on with their day
I used to wake up anxious a lot in my latter years of high school (with at-the-time undiagnosed generalized & social anxiety) & would dry heave a bunch before I could calm down enough to force myself to eat something for breakfast. I got really good at vomiting quietly so I didn't wake up my parents. Which is kinda sad tbh in retrospect....🙃
You meantioned her accuracy of anxciety. Sarah actually has a whole 600+ pages book dedicated to a character wrestling with anxiety. I think she does a pretty good job at the depicting of mental health.
As someone that read the first one DNF'd it and then came back and devour this series this is hilarious, your predictions are so wild and having you read chapter 55 was genius 🤣 I would have liked to see your reaction to the sisters and the cauldron chapter and I hope for the next one you also read some key chapters in between
I am exactly opposite. my husband has even said "you are a graceful puker". I don't make any noise. I have puked too much in my life that I know exactly how to just let it happen. it comes up silently and comes out silently 😂😂
Ngl long time follower but fell off a while ago, this video at least to me shows glimpses of Daniel having like legit fun and not forced because of an algorithm and that's great to see
I haven't watched the video yet, but just have to say before I do that this series is more than "fairie smut" as so many (most who likely haven't read the entire thing) claim. The sexy scenes are less than 1% of the entire book. There are the same number of scenes in Nevernight...but one is written by a woman and gets a ton of shame for being "nothing but smut." Okay, now I can watch, LOL.
Exactly! The characters are amazing and well-rounded, and sjm has a way of writing them that make them so real in our heads that u cry with them, laugh with them, rejoice with them, etc. The plots are stunning, well thought up, and all the twists and loose ends u don’t even realize are loose she finds incredible, intricate ways to tie into her stories. I hate people who say her stories are just smut, as it rly isn’t true, and if u think that, u likely haven’t acc read her books or u just went into them with ur own negative, maybe even misogynistic, opinions abt sjm and wanted to critique her whenever u could. And for the people who critique her writing to excess, why don’t u read something like that book by Kendall and Kylie Jenner and then come back and try being negative abt sjm’s writing? As far as I’m concerned, she has some flaws, she isn’t perfect, but nobody is. However, she has an amazing love for her books, her characters, and just what she does as a career in general. So no, she isn’t flawless, she makes mistakes, and she has faults; however that would be describing anyone and everyone. There is no such thing as a perfect human being, but saying that sjm writes pure smut and has no plot in her books is a complete and utter lie that confuses ppl and makes them hesitant to read an amazing book they could rly end up loving and finding comfort in. Anyway, that’s the end of my spiel, but for anyone who’s unsure abt reading the book since it’s described as hardcore smut by ppl who don’t know what they’re talking abt, I definitely recommend it and hope u enjoy it! ❤❤❤
😂😂😂 need more of these (hoping your liver can handle it) but seriously I've been hearing about this book called Lightlark or something and people say its the worse book ever and she stole it from somebody and another half say its a great story but a ok execution. Idk. But i think it would be cool. Lightlark by Alex Aster i think.
Oh man. I didn't watch this when it came out because I was still reading the book. I still can't believe this is the most popular book in the series 😭 It's so incredibly on the nose that there's 69 chapters, why does nobody talk about this?
SJM is my favorite author and the reason is because she is character driven, you viscerally feel for the characters that the plot is secondary. They become so real in your mind that you will cry with them and laugh with them etc. She also is good for slow burn romances so by the time you get to smutty sex scenes, they feel earned and realistic. I don't mind your critique but if you read Chapter 54 (the one right before the sex scene) there is literally Rhys entire story from start to finish, you could read just that chapter and know exactly what happened.
my sister is a throw up screamer too 😂 i have 100% slept through her screaming her guts out. i was absolutely laughing while you explain how involuntary it is 😂
I just finished the audiobook of the first book in this series and it was fun! The best part is its really easy to understand for a non english speaker. I am trying to improve my english and this series is perfect for it I first tried the the lord of the rings audiobook and quickly realised my english skills are not as good as I thought so I leveled down from it 😂
I hate SJM and this series for a plethora of reasons. That said, i always commend how she handles trauma. There are moments like the beginning of this video when she actually describes the grief and anxiety super well
As someone who has had 2 panic attacks in my life, I wouldn’t wish one on my worst enemy. I’m sorry that you’ve had to endure them (not that you’re an enemy or anything, just no one should have to suffer them).
I know you aren't doing these currently and I get that and I love your content. Fringe is the best for life. But I hope if you go back to Tipsy First & Last you do the third ACOTAR and the 2nd Fourth Wing book, Iron Flame. They both fall in the category "I said I enjoyed it. I didn't say it was good" Drinking probably helps
Totally understand the shift of the channel towards its root ! I think i'm gonna miss First & Last the most though, it was really nice for books that you wouldn't make a review on and it was honestly sooo funny ! Can't wait to see them returne maybe in the future
Not female but I have slender fingers and my nail beds are sensitive so I can't cut right up against them. I have cut myself before but it usually involves bending the nail too which hurts like a bitch.
I thank everyone who told him to read that xxx chapter. Just hilarious and relatable because I know could never read that out loud much less on camera.
And here we are. Daniel likes these books. Because he never read them full. 😂😂 That’s the secret. I dare him to read it full. I know why Merphy DNF it at book 1. 😂He missed that. Others DNF this for an other reason. He will miss that now.
Fun fact about wine glasses: the shapes are meant to direct different wines to different parts of your tongue to best highlight it’s flavor profile. It’s actually fascinating!
"I'm hooked. That's a hook. It's in. Got my nipple a little." 😂😂 I read Fourth Wing because of Daniel and now I have to read the acotar series. Please, don't stop making these videos. 🤣🤣
I wanted to let you know your comment made both of us smile! ^^ Thank you so much! hopefully we can get this video up in the algorithm to continue the series~~
Thanks Bright Cellars for sponsoring this video and for the limited-time offer! Click here bit.ly/BrightCellarsDGreenDec to get your first 6-bottle box, a $150+ value, for just $55!
Please read aru shah series it deal with Hindu mythological fantasy which would be change of pace compared to Norse or catholic inspired fantasy books
“That’s the dirty talk of an Alzheimer’s patient” is my new favorite out of context Daniel quote.
Iconic
I immediately paused the video, ran to play it back for my SO, then we both proceeded to die laughing. So yeah. The afterlife is just the RUclips comment feeds. Who knew?
I was crying 😂 I’m so curious how long his giggle fit over that was
As someone who actually likes this series (it's fun, fight me) these videos are hysterical and I deeply enjoy the reactions lol
I watched cari can read's plot synopsis on it and didn't think it sounded like my kind of thing but then saw her do the same thing for Crescent City and it sounded so batshit crazy, I had to give it a read. You know what? I LOVED it. Can't wait for book 3.
I love the series too, though could easily skip book one. This reading, though, best thing ever.
I like it the series too! It gives me the vibes of a really good fanfic that has funny tags.
It's my guilty pleasure nd i'm not sorry
my wife and I have been reading this together and I totally agree its fun and entertaining. It has flaws there is stuff i dont like but its like a soapy we get to talk about after we done readin chapters together.
I chose to watch this at work. Was it a strong choice? Yes. The best choice? Probably not.
“Oh he’s a softy, I love him” ME!!! 🥰🥰
I'm glad he enjoyed reading about Fae-Ray and Rice-And
Lol, my seven year old just looked at the video and said "Mama, isn't that the guy who tears out the pages of books you love?"
"Uh, yes, tiny human, he is...."
Which book did he rip pages from?
@@azlanadil3646 so many... i think it was Fourth Wing that my tiny human spoke of...
Your powers of prediction are incredible! If you do ACOSF though without any additional context you’ll be so confused it’ll be great 😂
I just heard about this series from a friend who is confidently unapologetic of her love of trashy chiclit.
We love Sarah j maas for it
I wouldn’t even categorize it as chic lit as I don’t read chic lit but I read this series. It definitely would be just as good if they removed the sex scenes. They add nothing to the story. The flirting was fun as it reminded me of my dating years 😂
FYI Daniel leaked the title of his new book: A Court of Law and Goblin
I don’t know why, but I think this is my favorite video of yours you’ve ever done. Sometimes I just watch it when I’m sad and it makes my day, so thank you for existing.
gonna be honest my respect for Daniel just shot straight up into the stratosphere when he referred to Adam Driver as a 'sexy wall'🔥🤘
I once read someone describe acotar as soap fantasy and now that’s all I can think of when I hear about these books
as a HUGE ACOTAR fan...THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO I HAVE EVER WATCHED
It’s the romantic guitar for me 😂 I quit the series after book 1 but maybe I need to hop back in, because the drama of that opener, damn lol
I am also a scream vomitter. I'm really bad at throwing up. It takes forever and it comes out my nose and my eyes and stuff. I really suck at it. I envy people who can just throw up and go on with their day

I feel this so much 😭 the worst is the eyes man
currently almost all the way through book 3 and this is AMAZING
This is why I was able to read this book first. More authors should do this kind of recap, I'm looking at you JLA!
lol “Fee-ray”…this pronunciation is killing me 😂 21:03
Can’t believe Daniel managed to get Santa Claus; our Goblin’s moving up in the world.
These "First and Last" reads have been an absolute delight. Thank you for sharing these with us. They are always wonderful.
this is the best acotar content. thank u much
You meantioned her accuracy of anxciety. Sarah actually has a whole 600+ pages book dedicated to a character wrestling with anxiety. I think she does a pretty good job at the depicting of mental health.
There are very good reasons the fandom refer to Tamlin as Tampon. 😂
As someone that read the first one DNF'd it and then came back and devour this series this is hilarious, your predictions are so wild and having you read chapter 55 was genius 🤣 I would have liked to see your reaction to the sisters and the cauldron chapter and I hope for the next one you also read some key chapters in between

I really want to see you finish all the books with this then read them and go over what you got right and what you were wrong about.

You should absolutely do these as livestreams. I would 100% read along and get blasted with you.

Hahaha my husband is a noisy vomiter, too. It's the most bizarre noise, like an angry alien screeching 😅
I would watch an entire series of just this. It is hilarious.
my sister is a throw up screamer too 😂 i have 100% slept through her screaming her guts out. i was absolutely laughing while you explain how involuntary it is 😂
I am excited to get back to more book reviews... but, man, i do dig these first and last content.... makes me giggle, and, just happy! Ty!
I scream vomit too. Never thought I'd write that on a public forum!
I’m sorry but “scream vomiting” has to be my new favorite thing lol
We'll miss you sipy sip Danny G😆
Feereigh
You sir have earned a new sub. This is hilarious 🤣
"I'm in the middle of DRAMA damn it" 😂
I absolutely love this 😂 this is amazing and I low key do wish her read chapter 54 because I wanna see his heart break with absolute no context
I just finished the audiobook of the first book in this series and it was fun! The best part is its really easy to understand for a non english speaker. I am trying to improve my english and this series is perfect for it

Unrelated: AoT review soon...? Pwease?
im gonna miss these so much :( great video !!!!!!
Having that incredible wheel of time book blurred out back there feels wrong
I love watching your reactions 😂.
As someone who has had 2 panic attacks in my life, I wouldn’t wish one on my worst enemy. I’m sorry that you’ve had to endure them (not that you’re an enemy or anything, just no one should have to suffer them).
It's okay Daniel, I pee my pants when I vomit.
Scream vomiting. My day is complete at 7:45AM.
I know you aren't doing these currently and I get that and I love your content. Fringe is the best for life.

That, was very nearly the level of smut ol' Ellery Queen thrived on. Well done!!
I love the soft whisper of Daniel saying "I love him."
I vote no for that background. It's too formal and symmetrical for the fun and chaotic vibe of Daniel's videos.
JUSTICE FOR TAMLIN 💚✨️
Right!!
This is not relevant, but it's wild to me how Americans can just straight up advertise alcohol lmao
Dude, what? Now, I gotta know what happens next! lmao
Oh this is on time.
I love this series, both the books and your video series.
Im not much of a puker but i scream sneeze. Can't help it.
I see all my coworkers reading this series (flight attendant). They all really like it.
Just leaving this comment for the algorithm gods.
I'm also a scream vomiter, and my girlfriend also hates it lmao.
Totally understand the shift of the channel towards its root ! I think i'm gonna miss First & Last the most though, it was really nice for books that you wouldn't make a review on and it was honestly sooo funny ! Can't wait to see them returne maybe in the future
i'm screaming at "fee ray" for feyre
I hope you keep doing the bookshelves rating, though. 😅
Not female but I have slender fingers and my nail beds are sensitive so I can't cut right up against them. I have cut myself before but it usually involves bending the nail too which hurts like a bitch.
I had the same problem, sometimes nails bent so much that i got something like bruises under them. Now clipper is my saviour
Hot Take - I think Maas did Tamlin dirty in this book. I said what I said.
💯💯💯💯
I thank everyone who told him to read that xxx chapter. Just hilarious and relatable because I know could never read that out loud much less on camera.
I really hope Daniel doesn't end this series 😭 it's too fun
I really love this videos! They are so funny!
Tam Who? TamPON!
And here we are. Daniel likes these books. Because he never read them full. 😂😂 That’s the secret. I dare him to read it full. I know why Merphy DNF it at book 1. 😂He missed that. Others DNF this for an other reason. He will miss that now.
Spoil me pls
Daniel, this was perfect.. that is all
Mad respect for referencing christopher lee's metal christmas lmfao
U need to do some audio books
Please do them all. ACOSF would be hilarious
LOL Scream vomiting
that's the dirty talk of an Alzheimer's patient 🤣🤣
More of this PLEASE 🙏😅
I’m a scream vomiter too!! The whole house know when I’ve been vomiting, and I burst blood vessels in my face and eyeballs.
Why am I on the naughty list 😢
Lots of fun people are.
Don’t worry, I’m a scream vomiter too- literally sounds like there’s a demon being exorcised out of me every time
Please read aru shah series it deal with Hindu mythological fantasy which would be change of pace compared to Norse or catholic inspired fantasy books
I'll miss this series if you decide to stop doing it. Big fun so far! Thanks Daniel!
i haven't read the series and this is quickly becoming my favourite way of consuming such media. ty for the food bestie
Check out cari can read. She does full plot synopsis's of this and the Crescent City series and it's great.
Dose anyone know the song that plays when ever he is reading?
Will i read these books probably not but it makes me happy to see big fans of this book series enjoying your videos because im loving them.
You should read the first 2 books now that you've done the videos. Then do the next video and so on. 😊
Fun fact about wine glasses: the shapes are meant to direct different wines to different parts of your tongue to best highlight it’s flavor profile. It’s actually fascinating!
1 if you like the rep of trauma. WAIT FOR THE LATEST BOOK SILVER FLAMES!!
2 you about to oneeighty on tamtam
And what things you remember are things you think happened in Forth Wing?
"I'm hooked. That's a hook. It's in. Got my nipple a little." 😂😂 I read Fourth Wing because of Daniel and now I have to read the acotar series. Please, don't stop making these videos. 🤣🤣
I wanted to let you know your comment made both of us smile! ^^ Thank you so much! hopefully we can get this video up in the algorithm to continue the series~~
you should read the trilogy after doing the last video, its pretty good
Wow 😮😮😮😮😮😮 you really read this book series?!!!!!!!! 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Probably the best way to read it, I wouldn’t wish a S J Maas book on any sober person
As a fellow scream vomitter, I feel seen.
