NMM upgrade from an older version(pre 9.x) sometimes triggers a reboot of the system. Its best to be in full control specially for NMM. Other modules from my experience have no issues.
Hi, Thanks for vedio. May i know if i want to add numbers of clients in networker backup server using remote installtion, how i can proceed out this task instead to go on every server and install locally.
You will need to use tools like ansible to accomplish this, nsrpush cant help you here. Here is the link to my video for NetWorker client agent installation with ansible - ruclips.net/video/-oIprD3biiw/видео.html
You can initiate it but from what I remember at a time only 8 clients can be upgraded in parallel. Moreover over doing in batches lets you have more control.
Yes it recommended to ran an inventory every time you want to upgrade a client. This ensures that the networker has the latest information for that client.
For Windows nsrpush is always a little flaky, thus my recommendation to manually install for windows. Starting 19.3 things should be better in that arena as DELL had promised that it had made a lot of enhancements to nsrpush.
Thanks for the video!
You're welcome!
Thanks a lot for your awesome upload Crazyrov :)
Thank you Amit for your support.
Within Networker 19 it is supported to upgrade modules like Networker Module for SAP together with Networker :)
The best strategy would be to upgrade the NetWorker server and then the clients/modules.
Thanks for uploading ,appreciate your efforts
It's my pleasure
dude i m learning so much from these; can you please make a video on if we want to remove old DD and add new data domain ; how that set up will go !!

Can we upgrade all the clients in networker backup server all in one time?
You can initiate it but from what I remember at a time only 8 clients can be upgraded in parallel. Moreover over doing in batches lets you have more control.
Do we need to do inventory each time for upgrading the client.?

@@crazyrov cool
Yes the inventory runs by default when we initiate a remote client push.
Inventory takes lot of time , is there some Porte specific for inventory
Can we install client agent using nsrpuch, if its a new client which doesnt have any networker agents installed
nsrpush needs a networker client installed on the target system, with no client nsrpush will not work.
How can we upgrade the aix client?
You have detailed instructions in the NetWorker installation guide.
after installing certificates still it is not working for Win 2008?
