Hi, Rov Thanks for the video, I would request you to make a video on Quiesce backup application configuration, as this is a new feature introduced in 19.4 and onwards, Which is something for VM server SQL backup can be done directly without ussing NMM or networker agent, we can have the backup by this feature for full db backup and its transaction log backup, You will find this option in VM ware policy on vproxy configuration option at last.
I'll need a 2nd DD for this and right now I don't have enough compute resource to install a second on my test machine. The plan is to buy a server class system for the lab set up so that I can get more great content and wider topics but right now I am unable to fund myself to get it. Hopefully soon :)
Hi Rov, i have upgraded my networker server from 18.x to 19.5 but after upgrade it is showing huge ammount of data in report which was erlier very less around 400TB now its showing around 1.2 PB can you please let me know why it is showing like this?
Hey Dhiraj! I never used NMC for its reporting functionality but I am assuming they might be purging issue. Data wise I believe the reports on 18.x and 19.5 are the same. You might want to raise a support case to ensure there is no corruption.

Hi Maxwel, Thank you for your comment. I would recommend n-1 version as that is the best practice that we used to follow as well. But its always a good habit to test it out first because every environment has something unique and unlike the other. So keep a back out plan ready (taking a snapshot of the backup server if its is a VM is the best option) and go for it.

You can either use nsrpush or you can use any third party software to push the updated binaries to the clients.

Networker Service needs to stopped before upgrade?
