Hello crazyrov, Great videos btw ! it sure has helped me a lot , i have a question regarding the restore proccess of the DB , once im past the nsrdr command variables and im waiting for it to load the indexes, i get an alert informing about the storage node not being ready. and while ive waited for half an hour there were no responses , you have any ideas regarding that ?
I could be that the DR server that you were using is isolated and has no access to the storage node. Can you give me a bit more details regarding your DR environment.
Thank you for great video and clear information! Imho it would be nice to look at the scenario when networker is being restored from bootstrap to host with different hostname. It is not so obvious I guess. At least I did not find complete info how to do it :(

Hi Suhel! There are many additional steps that are required to be done before NW is aware of the Data domain and also is able to do the restores quickly! Let me try to figure out something around this and get an blog at the earliest. Will update the link here once done.

Looks like a duplicate question from another video but let me copy paste the answer here for other who land on this video. The base infra should always be the first so I would recommend NetWorker, DD and then vProxy. However, the installation itself is not dependent on each other. The point I want to take from here is that, Without NetWorker you cannot configure a vProxy, with a DD you cant configure a DD device. I hope I have not confused you, you can reach out to me on twitter in case you want to clarify in real time.
You can scan the devices that were attached to the NetWorker server. If you are using a DD devices then you are OK but in case of Tapes its going to take along time. Always enabled bootstrap notification or at least have a DPA integrated.
