That's a pretty common problem... actually more common than hip pain while sitting. Here's a video on how to make it easier to walk when you first stand up from sitting: ruclips.net/video/GdOAuZ3XEqo/видео.html
There is actually something called "snapping hip syndrome" where tight hip flexors can cause the hip to "snap" or "pop". Not sure if that's what you're referring to, but here's more information about it: ruclips.net/video/AY6WDs0h0Dk/видео.html
If it's the actual hip joint, it's probably closes to #3. Also, this video about knee pain and difficulty standing may be helpful: ruclips.net/video/V-gAMrVojPI/видео.html
Have pain from my groin down into front of knee. When I stand I have no strength in the leg with pain. How can I stop this..? Been getting worse, am I pinching a nerve?
Sorry. Not sure if i am commenting in correct place sixty five year old guy with arthritis in upper body . I get stiffness in my back even when sitting on a chair or bench with support. If I am at home and sitting on a chair once the pain/stiffness kicks in, I get up and walk around the room for a minute or two Repeat Then If I'm on a bench, pain can be worse as I go to get up. I have to turn my body a certain way to minimise pain. Then there is the pain I get around the area you have your hand on around 2 minutes and 6 seconds. It was when I went to have a lie on the bed that I felt the pain, which was quiet intense.
2,3. I am a drummer my legs are kind of spread apart and I also have a torn meniscus in my left knee and maybe right one also which hasn’t been checked yet. Could the drumming be causing all of this?
I've had 2 for a month or so it's worse when I walk it feels like every step it's scratching the hip bone on my right side . It's really starting to get to me cos I used to walk for miles no problem but now this has come out of nowhere . It maybe from sitting at desk for hours muscle atrophy etc .
Addressing rotation issues with hips will often improve pain experienced or eliminate it pretty much all together. Treat your body as a whole unit! Bones go where muscles direct them. Addressing postural integrity issues is key to prevention and effective treatment. Sometimes breathing habits and somatic patterns affect posture and contribute to dysfunction and pain experienced.
3 but not while sitting, it's when I get up to walk, causes me to limp.
