So very many thanks Dr Candy! This is about the best way I’ve seen to get yourself back up after a fall. So very informative and shows every step necessary!! Much appreciated.
You're welcome. You basically use momentum to throw your hips 180 degrees from down to up. If you go too slow or don't get all the way around, it requires significantly more thigh strength to get the rest of the way around.
I can’t believe I was able to stand! I have two bad knees and I would never sit on the ground because it hurt too much to get up. Thank you so much for this video!! 🙏🏼🫶🏻🌻
@4.28 - this is perfect for when I try to get up from the floor after a sitting meditation session in a communal place where the space is compact! And also I don't have to be on my knees! I've yet to come across this technique on YT so Thank you Dr Candy!! All the way from Singapore!
Not sure if you've seen this yet, but there was an update of this video just posted yesterday with 2 other techniques + 3 strengthening exercises to help if you have lost some muscle strength. ruclips.net/video/w2XGuPOFLRA/видео.html
Here is a variation I came across that some might find even easier: ruclips.net/video/zNfzRPZKB8Y/видео.html I think the variation I linked is slightly less stable but the trade-off is it may require slightly less strength. I imagine both versions are worth trying to see which is best for the individual.

It's interesting that there should be some quick movement involved to help . I'll also try the half lunge to compare. Thank you for the technique.

Y me dirías po favor como después de caer a lo largo puedo sentarme?
Unfortunately excess weight can make this technique difficult if not impossible.
That is true. It's not for everyone. Excess weight can make a lot of things more difficult.
