Hovno! Naprostá dokonalost. A ta hudba! Všechno do sebe super zapadá a byl to neskutečnej zážitek si tuhle hru zahrát. Koupil jsem si hned tu knížku s artworkama a naprostá bomba, kolik úsilí jste vložili do logiky infrastruktury měst a vesnic a vůbec všeho. Do teď neexistuje hezčí a líp zvládnutá středověká hra, než Kingdom Come. Fakt tleskám! Mimochodem...chaloupka ježibaby byla fakt boží. :-D Hlavně ta pec s lopatou a kostma. Savage. :-D Mohl bych psát ještě dalších 50 řádek, ale už držim hubu. Skvělá práce a nemůžu se dočkat dalšího vašeho projektu. Hodně štěstí!

I think the biggest problem with people playing this game is they don't realize the game isn't going to baby you like other RPG's. When it comes to fighting it's actually easy if you pay attention to the dialogue and mechanics. You can train your sword fighting with wooden swords with Bernad, it may take some hours but you can max out your Sword, Mace, Defence, Agility through practicing with Bernad. It's kind of like Runescape if you've ever played it. I really love KCD, one of my fav games of all time.

I was out at night randomly exploring and I saw a knight in the middle of the forest. I actually almost started to attack until I lit my torch and saw he just wanted to duel.
I was using a shield so we were fighting in the moonlight, I could barely see. He started kickin my ass but thankfully i pulled off a riposte that finished him. I got a nice reward and then I start following this dude deeper in the woods.
Suddenly I get ambushed by a large group of bandits hiding in the bushes. Next thing I know I see that knight walk right in front of me and straight up master strike tf out of this bandit and drop him in 3 seconds lol. I draw my weapons and again I cant see cause I needed my shield.
I panic in the dark and theres like 4 bandits on me, and I cant see the knight so I can regroup. I fell off a small hill/cliff and end up in the lake fighting off 3 bandits in the dark. I was about to die and was already bleeding out, I started focusing on my training with Bernard and was able to master block and combo the bandits until theyre all floating dead in the water. The whole thing was the craziest Kingdom Come moment I’ve ever encountered.

I remember my first few hours with the game.
Spoiler-free, I'm at the first castle that you get a little bedroom in, and I decide, time to explore this very realistic castle here.
So I'm walking through the halls, patrolling the battlements, etc. I climb to the top of a tower to see if theres anything. There isn't so I go to climb down. I miss the ladder, and fall about 10-15 ft to the floor below.
In any other RPG, I would have been fine, or maybe taken a small health hit. But not KCD.
Because I wasn't wearing shoes at the time, i cut my feet when I land. Immediately, I begin to bleed out. The only way to stop bleeding is to bandage the wound.
Problem; I'm trapped inside the castle, with no bandages in my inventory. I begin searching through the castle frantically, but it is in vain.
Thus, my very first death in the game, came from bleeding out from my feet, because I wasn't wearing shoes.
This game is an absolute gem.

I think 2 sequel games are coming, since kcd is set in a timeline just before the hussite war (it is a big historical event for us Czech people aka Bohemia where this game takes place) long story short people got gradually angry with the catholic church taking 1/10 of their income and later 1/9 of their income and what also angered them is the fact that (just like in this game) you could pay money to buy a pardon/indulgence for your sins to be forgiven by the god and so one guy (Jan Hus... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jan_Hus) started preaching differently and trash talked the catholic church so they imprisoned him and asked him to say again what he thought about the catholic faith and he replied with "I would not for a chapel of gold retreat from the truth!" so they publicly burned him at a stake and thus the huss (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hussites) revolution started and shook the whole middle Europe, these new teachings basically said we split all the incomes among everyone blah blah blah, in the end it was a hell of a bloodshed but they won as they triumphed against the crusaders, so I think this is what the next games are aiming for... thanks for reading all the way :D

It's almost like Warhorse employees are the only ones who's ever been to an actual forrest.
I also like that you can get through most of the main story without actually learning to fight. I think you need to pull off one duel, which you can just use a mace for and get thought pretty quickly. Most of the main story isn't revolved around fighting. May I ask where you are from?
Your statement is true and I know about Hungarian gulasch but it's also nonsense. There are many dishes that are made all over the world because in the end it's just a basic way of preparing food.
Pizza for example is originated in Italy. But in Germany we have a similar dish that's called Flammkuchen. It is a thin piece of wheat flour yeast dough with a sauce (here sour cream) and some toppings. The purpose of this dish was just to test the temperature of the oven before you bake the real bread. Change the cream with tomato sauce and you have pizza.
Another example are dumplings. You know maybe Chinese or Japanese dumplings Jiaozi. They are meat and/or veggies wrapped in dough and cooked in water or broth. In Italy you have tortellini, in Poland or Russia you have Piroggen and in Germany you have Maultaschen. They are all more or less the same dish.
England is famous for its pates. It's meat wrapped in dough and baked. It was done to make the meat last longer before the invention of fridges. The same was done in Germany, France, Italy and probably many other countries but nowadays people talk only about English pate.
Now let's talk about gulasch. It's roughly chopped meat fried with veggies and cooked for a long time in water to get a thick dark broth. That was done all over the world for thousands of years. The Hungarian gulasch is a variety with capsicum that became famous. I guarantee you that meat fried with onions and capsicum and cooked afterwards in water was made thousands of years before in South America before capsicum even came to Hungary.Gulasch btw was not the Hungarian word for the dish. Nowadays the term is used for all kinds of dishes that are made this way.
And I really like the Polish version of gulasch that is usually prepared without capsicum but lots of garlic. But I also like Hungarian gulasch

More dmg, dmg over time while i shoot all the enemies from afar and then just wait them out. Poisoned food in an enemy camp dressed as one of them. I felt really smart.

One of, if not the, best experiences I had in a RPG. I rediscovered what it's like to wish to explore a game, without knowing what awaits you, something I lost after playing Assassin's creed and the likes where everything feels so artificial and limited.
I really got immersed in the game and love almost all mechanics, everything is so well thought and just shows that it's a really unique experience developers put their heart into, not just another project to bring in cash flow to pay for the employees' salaries.
I have so many memories playing that game and would gladly support the studio when their second game comes out. Happy to see you got into the game in the end, I get how it's not very inviting for "casual" gamers (I include myself there) but it's definitely worth it.

I was on a quest to clear a bandit camp. I got on my horse, rode to the nearest Inn with my shining armor on. I rented a room, had some food and drink, played a few rounds of the mini games with the customers there, and I wait till night.
When night fell, I took off my heavy armor, put on my light stealth clothes, then I headed to the camp. I could just assassinate those bandits while they slept, but instead I stole all of their weapons and armors. I returned to the Inn, had a good night sleep.
When sun rise, I went back to the camp, fully equipped with my heavy set, and I saw bunch of butt naked bandits charging at me with their fist. I was just hilarious😂😂. I easily sliced them one by one and finished the quest.

That is to simply get better through your understanding of the game, it's mechanics, it's world even; and not just fall into a void of mindlessly repeating actions so your "character"... ahhhaha... gets better. No, I myself got better. And in real tangible terms. It really does make all the difference to me with regards to satisfaction with both the game, and myself. Also this game has the greatest character development EVER. Henry goes from poor incapable blacksmith's son to one of the most capable fighters/diplomats/horse riders/lady's men in the land. He goes from throwing shit at a house to advising lords, from illiterate to literate, from incapable fighter to tournament champion, from banging the ale house maid to banging the Lady of Talmberg Castle.
And to top it all off this game has possibly the best sound track I have ever heard. The scene when Henry marches with Lord Divish and Robard to meet up with Radzig and Hanush to attack the bandit camp gave me major goosebumps. The music during that cutscene was just amazing.

However, its more of a medieval life simulation. EVERYTHING is way more in depth and difficult as it would be for a peasant boy, which is literally what you start as. Hell you cant even READ and need to learn that too! That's part of its charm in my opinion, building up from a peasant who can't do anything and runs away from every battle, to training with swords and other weapons, slowly learning how to read and gradually get better at diplomacy (speech skill) to end up as a pretty bad ass knight is brilliant.

The combat actually gets easy faster than you might realize. The first go round but you have to go through all the trainings to unlock the important finishing moves... And much like in real medieval life sword training is hard to get... But it's at the other gate of that city where he end up with the Miller

Don´t be sad, I have reverted to vegetable status as I grow older, instead of depth I now crave fast paced games with pointers. Time is precious, no time for walking simulators and the story needs to be completed. I was actually far more thorough as a youngster, I remember reading every single line multiple times to understand Planescape: Torment fully, those days are gone.

Not many games like this that are is immersive and as detailed. What I mean by that is just the mechanics of the game are so unique. One thing people always get frustrated over is the lock picking. So many people online would always get frustrated with lock-picking and in some cases with stop playing the game because of that not-so-simple mechanic. But like most games this game takes practice and time. I have played through this game several times now because I enjoyed it so much and I always would incorporate different strategies and such
This was a very detailed summary of the game and I hope that anybody who sees this for the first time will give the game a try. But he kind of has a little bit of a spoiler with black Peter. As much as people hate him. If more people had played this game, they would rank this character as one of them more hated characters. Even though it's only for a brief moment in the entire story. He leaves a lasting impression. But there is a couple of others in the game that you will begin to dislike as much as black Peter.
I remember the first time I fought against black Peter. He kicked my ass big time in the tournament and I actually followed him around until he went to sleep and murdered him in his sleep because I was that frustrated with him. My downfall in that tournament that first time was not practicing and training to up my skill levels

This is simultaneously a 10/10 and a 0/10 game. I've never played a game like this before. I can't stop playing it even though about 60% of this game I actively hate. Terrible quests, no pay, really, really bad audio quality, awful fps drops and glitches. Yet it's still fun to play. Games with half that many problems to me don't get more than an hour from me and I'm about 15 hours in now

@@fire418 The thing about strong women was in response to one of the stretch goals where they stated they'd add in a playable female character who was "smart, courageous and good at stealth". This has since materialised as the last DLC, a woman's lot, which has by far been the most controversial.
The black people thing was in response to Vavra, co founder and one of the developers, stating that there were absolutely no black people in medieval Bohemia. Allegedly this was done to court controversy and in turn drum up attention pre-release. Although this has become much more complicated with Vavra's expanding claims of their being no nonwhite people in Bohemia at the time has become increasingly criticised (including but not exclusively) by historians, Vavra's vehement doubling down and also his association with 'questionable' groups.

wanted to add about the Schnapps: there is a area above Rattay, on your way to Neuhof, where you can find *hundreds* of bushels of Belladonna and Nettle. Those are the only ingredients you need to craft Schnapps. To mastercraft (get 3 for the price of one) pour wine, drop in the nettle, pull the bellows 5x, immediately put two handfulls of belladonna in the mortar and crush it, pour it in the cauldron, pull the bellows 2x times, flip the sandglass, and collect when the sandglass empties.

I hope the PS4 version is okay, I say it's better on PC with an SSD because from a simple HDD the loading times are insane. The graphics tho... try it on a high spec PC, the best looking forests ever.
