Sometimes when there aren't that many glitches and skips available it makes it easier to follow what's going on in the game.
This was almost just a rushed playthrough but I really enjoyed watching it!
Holy crap, I cannot imagine being the guy who animated/scripted that button press at 37:37 and knowing that even SPEEDRUNNERS never knew about that little feature.

I too thought Wyatt to be annoying my first couple of playthroughs, but on the most recent one I choose him and, gotta say, his storyline was pretty good. You actually get attached to him as well, and it was interesting to see him trying to fill the big boots left behind by Fergus.
Just for fun: the inscription at the base of the Statue of Liberty says the lines at the end of the video. These lines are from the poem "The New Colossus," written by Emma Lazarus in 1883

throughout this run I was just wondering: Would running the german version be faster since they cut some stuff? Just wondering
i know im a bit late, but it should be almost as long as the international version
nothing of the story is cut out, just symbols were changed and every mention of the word nazi erased and changed to regime

Yeah, it's weird. You can leave the Panzerhund on your leg for an hour for all it matters. You just need to shoot it at least three times in the teeth to move the animation on.

domeplsffs Because Germany has very strict laws concerning how you can use Nazi symbolism, and they didn't release the Original Wolfenstein in Germany, either.
yeah all the swastikas arent in the game. the nazis arent called nazis but "the regime". the camp isnt called auschwitz and in the incinerator you arent under a pile of bodies and theres no fire. Ofcourse the are some more minor differences like the dialogs and so on but yeah.
the game is heavily censored in germany unfortunally. No swastikas and the statues in berlin don't do the Hitler salute. They aren't even called Nazis in the german version just the "regime".
I am from Germany and saying we are a nation of holocaust deniers is just wrong. Even in school the topic of the second world war as well as the nazis are covered in depth. Media is also allowed to contain swastikas and such, if the media can be considered art (that's why Indiana Jones doesn't have to be censored here in Germany). However, video games aren't officially considered art here, so the devs have to censor a lot in order to release their game here. But this has nothing to do with us being holocaust deniers.

There is a part where you are supposed to stand on the counterweight, but not during that segment.
Okay I just replayed the new order to see if this was still a thing for the fight with the wielder and you can skip it there's a destroyed section and you can just jump and skip that fight sorry for not saying something sooner but I would feel bad if someone said something earlier or later :/ so that could be a 3-2 min save for time

first upload is basically a straight rip from the stream, second is after editing has been done to make things just generally better. fix audio quirks, or graphics problems, etc.

What does kill the animals mean
David Ortiz at the end of super metroid there is an option to kill/save animals. super metroid is one of the last if not the last game to be run at agdq

Super Metroid is a staple of Games Done Quick events, and near the end of the game the player has the option to abandon (kill) or save a group of animals before completing the game.
You can put donations towards either one of the choices, and the option with the most money towards it is the one the runners have to go for during their Super Metroid run at the end of the event.
No gdq runs of the new game :O?
