The Malay settlers from Sumatera had made the Malay Peninsula their home even prior to Parameswara opening Melaka, and that was long before Melaka fluorished, and conquered in 1511 by the Portuguese... Mix marriages with people of other races like the Chinese n Indian migrants back then had been quite common... Some of these are hard to find in KL, and some that are found outside of Kelantan are just so~so. It's best to go to Kelantan itself and have a food galore trip!
@@muhammadfahmi-hg7yd Hello from New Zealand. My Daughter and I had a 3 day stopover in KL and honestly wished we had stayed there for all our holiday instead of going on to Phuket. The food was amazing as was the shopping but the people were the reason we loved it. Was planning to travel again for the MOTOGP but that is up in the air now.Can you tell what the beaches are like in Malaysia and can you recommend where to stay? Stay safe.
@@shanerowe5289 hello from malaysia. I am happy hear you have a great expriance in here. For my opinion about beach. You can go to pulau tioman in pahang state. Its a very great island and the beach is a very clean. Its only 2 hour boat trip form mainland. The enviroment there is very peacfully. The people also nice there. Got lot of choice place to stay. If you dont want go ther by boat. You also can take a flight to that island.
wow.. you are unique... first time hearing a malay speaking with a south african english accent... superb!!!
Terima kasih. I feel flattered by your comment 🤣
Malaysia seems incredibly beautiful, would love to visit there someday. Love from Liberia
I have a friend in Cape Town, he is Malay Cape and Turkish descendant. I thought he was lying to me about he is partly a malay. Silly me. He is great friend.
And to you... Welcome home & glad that you had fun in Malaysia.
Terima kasih brother. Your friend was not lying. Malay presence are strong in Cape Town 😁
@@maruwaanmoses and a very good host too. I went to see the sea wreck, had fish and chips.. And few other places in Cape Town. & he was driving me around. Cape Town is breathtaking. Your country is amazing bro.
Welcome home brothers. You should get more info from oldest at you place so you can track back your heritage, grass roots, and find your family here.

Does it feel like coming home when you were here in KL? I certainly have tears in my eyes watching your footage.
Yes absolutely! 🙂 The entire Malay region is very special and dear to South African Malays. We're tremendously proud of our heritage.
The South African English accent is so wonderful to the ears. Beautiful.
I'm glad you like it! 😁 Terima kasih!
Welcome back malay descendents...
Terima kasih Amir 😊
How does someone welcome back someone who has never visited a place before. Please explain this logic?
Maritime Southeast Asia is also called Nusantara, The Malay Archipelago. They're consist of Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Brunei, Singapore and Timor Leste. Hope you visit the Malay Archipelago in the future.
welcome to my country malaysia ... thank you for reveiew my country.good job bro,TERIMA KASIH👍👍👍👍👍
Terima Kasih Fahmie. It was a pleasure filming this series 🙂
Glad that u like our country...
Cape malays in South Africa share the same bloodline as malays here n in Sumatera, Indonesia...
Maybe, u already know that...
Yeah brother, that's true. Just love the culture.
You are correct mate ... all Melayu are from Sumatera and not from Malaysia .... in Malaysia they are just a bunch of crossbreeds .... you haters just do a DNA test and you will know ...-
@@bakkutteh-sn3gp you kidding mate? 🤣 So you think Kedah Tua are Chinese?? You fucking kidding mate. Hahahahah
@@bakkutteh-sn3gp it was called Tanah Melayu for one n only reason...
True blood Malays would tell u their original descent is of Arabic-Achehnese lineage, with the first born Malay being a muslim, thus whoever was a muslim, would automatically be classified, especially by the British Colony, as a Malay, regardless of whether that person was of that lineage or else...

Malaysia should do more to connect with cape malays, and encourage them to emigrate back to MAlaysia.
Absolutely! I agree.
Nope we need to spread our culture and language there
@@protocetus499
Nope they need to be encouraged to come back to their motherland so that the numbers of Malays can increase. With all due respect they are more native then Chinese and Indians who are outsiders.

Salam from malay of singapore to south african cape malays 💗
I don’t know why, but i feel proud watching your video
Hey brother! Terima kasih. My brother's name is Nizam! 🙂
It's just a short 10 minute video but I can feel the sweat, the heat, the traffic, the fume, the food and spices, the exhaustion but also the excitement of travelling and visiting tourist sites. Have i mentioned the tropical heat? March is the hottest and driest month in West Coast of peninsular, where KL is situated. We are suffering at the moment..
Tk for watching. Glad I could portray the city in a favorable way 🙂
Beautiful city. It reminded me of Cape Town sometimes. Met nice friends there
It's because of the Malays in Cape Town! 😁 Thanks for watching.
