I'm Cape Malay , Malaysia has always felt like home, it's my favourite country, the most amazing people, the best food, you can find a masjid anywhere.
To all the silly arrogant Malays.... The Cape Malays, are the descendants of the Sultanates of Malaca (Current day Malaysia and Sumatra), Java, and Sulawes. They are descendants of the MUSLIM Ruling families who were banished to South Africa because they were Muslim and they bravely fought the Portuguese and the Dutch! Why are the Malays so afraid of the Malays of South Africa? We are the rightful and authentic rulers of Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, and Sulawesi! By the way, I do prefer Indonesia since they are a more attractive and more intelligent people. Malays need some racist un-Islamic Bumi-Putera system to get ahead. Malays are rather unsophisticated and can't compete with the Indians and Chinese in Malaysia. You need this racist apartheid system to get ahead. The cape Malays have a history of fighting and competing with Western Europeans, British, Germans, and Americans - And we've come out tops! ROFL.... Malays can't even compete with their local Chinese and Indians... or Indonesians! ROFL. The Cape Malays are the rightful rulers of Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, and Sulawesi!

im from bo-kaap my family are from the kraal in bo-kaap where the first jumu'ah in South Africa was held and I find myself overwhelmed with emotion. I just spent my first day here and it's just so surreal to be her. I'm typing this snot en traane just thinking about it. PNB 118 was still under construction at the time I visited.

When British come to Malaya land they Took Malay people bring them to Australia Africa and many more country...in 2018 i go to Australia and i meet Malay kampong style at Australia That make me feel happy to see my Brother and sister ..

The ancestors of Cape Malay people were mostly slaves of the Dutch in South Africa and a large number of Asians enslaved by the Dutch colonisers in South Africa came from Bengal actually. But the Cape Muslim community was centred on the teachings of exiles from islands in Indonesia (e.g. Macassar) and typically the Melayu language was used in madrassas in colonial times, so slaves and their descendants who became Muslim were called and starting calling themselves Malays regardless of whether they had South Asian, African or Southeast Asian origins. Because many of them would have all three in the family lineages. "Malay" for most South Africans just means Cape Muslim. The second oldest mosque in South Africa was founded by two freed Cape slaves - Jan van Bougies (Sulawesi) and Frans van Bengalen. So a lot of South African Malays are as much descendants of South Asians as Southeast Asians, as well as having African and probably some European ancestry too.
