    We have a 22 foot tritoon. I am thinking about selling it and getting this. It weighs 2500 pounds less and has all the benefits and it is cheaper.

    • @MarkForrestAdventures

      These new ones do offer so many ways to have them set up and also don't have the engines in the way at the back so you get even more space. The weight to power on them is great as well so you are right you are winning there as well. hey money always plays a factor so to cost less and get more options you are winning on the deal. Do let me know if you get one and what you think! Cheers!

      It’s just a cheap lighter weight shell around the steering column. The boat itself is super sturdy like a tank . Basically it’s a plastic shroud plus camera doubles the effect .

    • @MarkForrestAdventures

      Yes I asked them about that and for the production models they will be even more secure but really its not that bad even now and yes the camera does not help. When Driving it I did not even notice. Thanks for checking out the video and for reaching out all the best Cheers!

    Can a SeaDoo Switch 13 sport compact sink under extreme condition?

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  Год назад +1

      Under extreme conditions I am sure it can just like any other boat but with the amount of foam and other design features It would have to be something crazy to send it to the bottom. Also as it is polytech and not fiberglass there is less weight so floats better. Thanks for checking out the video and for reaching out all the best Cheers!

Of yes you can troll for sure it even has the speed controls like the other sea doo's to set it from 1 km/h to like 15 kp/h and not have to hold the trigger. Thanks for making this video! I have a compact sport on order! Can you tell me if the boat on the trailer will fit in my garage with bimini down or taken off if that's possible? My garage at the entrance is 9' wide, 6' 2" high, and 20' long. This is a huge advantage to having this boat if it'll fit!

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  2 года назад +2

      Hello Spencer! Nice that is the one that I have on order as well. I can tell you that you are going to have the same issue that I am looking at and that is the height. So the compact on the trailer is 16' long so good there and 7.8' wide so that will work. The height on the trailer is 8.2' and that's where it fails as my height is only 7' to get in. Now I am not sure if that is with the Bimini on or off. Even with it off might only get you a foot more room. So to be safe until I can see it on my driveway I just put the full cover for it in case I need to keep it outside for a bit. Hope that helps and I will try to update once I get it in person and see if it fits. Thanks again for checking out the video and for reaching out all the best and let me know when you get yours and what you think Cheers!

    To be honest I am not sitting on the floor of a boat. That is a stupid idea. I LOVE my RXT 300. LOVE it has been flawless. Wouldn't change anything on it. These pontoons I'm not so sold on. I don't want handle bars on a boat. The idea of a ski mated to a pontoon I like just not crazy about the plastic everything.

    • @MarkForrestAdventures

      Hey Norman! I do agree with you on that not my favorite part for sure. Yes if you love the RXT then this definitely will not be for you at all in any way lol I will say if you are a family and want to get out there then these are great and the price point vs a normal pontoon is crazy good but the end it is a family boat not something to go ripping the lake with for sure. I get you about the handle bars but trust me as someone that rides a sea doo they are so great on these. The control and feel is so nice but do wish it had cruise control for sure. The said the way things are going it will soon all be plastic LOL Spark, All the GTI and next I bet will be the GTX lol any ways thanks for checking out the video and keep ripping on that RTX !! it is a crazy good unit Cheers!

    What can you tell us about the passenger capacity? I'd like to be able to seat at least nine, but most of the time more like five. I'm leaning towards the mid sized for the agility and speed, but kind of like a dining room table, there are times when you'll need to seat more than normal. Thanks!

    • @MR.TOYBOX

      The compact max 5 but best 3 to 4. The mid size 5 to 7 is good but get the 270. hp unit and then 9 is the max on the larger size but that only comes with the 270 hp so it works. For what you are looking to do I would go with the mid with the 270 hp and I think you can add the table after on that one. • @MR.TOYBOX
      @MR.TOYBOX 3 года назад +1

      @@MarkForrestAdventures Confused even more today. So on seadoos website were you can build your boat it let me in the past add the swimdeck to the compact sport for 599.00 and it added it in 3d so you could actually see the platform on the boat. They removed that option from the online builder on the sport compact. Now it doesnt even have the swimplatform as an option to add for 599.00. Sea doo really does need to answer this question.. There are a ton of people who swear they added the platfrom to the compact sport when they ordered it . But now it not only says on page 32 in the switch catalog the swim deck only fits the 16 and 19ft boat. And now that they removed the option online as well its very concerning. I mean there has to be a reason and we deserve to no. My dealer put in a ticket asking several questions and no answer as of yet. I emailed seadoo and they tell me to call my dealer. If it cant be added for safety or boat operation or weight distribution etc I am going to be sad.

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  3 года назад +2

      Ok so I have looked into this a bit more and I think I know why they have removed it on the compact. So the reasons that I am hearing has a few things to it. The first is with out the swim platform on the compact it would still fall under the definition as a PWC and as such would have different insurance needs and things needed by the coast guard and other Gov things. As soon as you add the back deck it adds 2 feet and puts it at 15 feet and as such is now considered a boat and has different laws and insurance and all the crap you then need to have on a boat. Also if you put it on, your docking fees change, your lock fees change as you are now 15 feet as well as other things they charge for a boat vs a PWC. I am sure that the dealer can still install it you just need to know it changes a lot of the paperwork for just a swim platform, so is that really worth it when you can still get in with the ladder. For me I would like it but like when I go to use a dock slip or go through a lock and they now charge me as a boat and not a PWC it adds up. Our locks up here it's like $11 for a PWC and then if the swim platform was on becomes $15 so that can really add up over a summer. Now these are just things that I have heard and what I believe the reason you don't see it on the compact any more as a standard option as they want one of the 3 to fall into that PWC category. But again I am sure you will be able to add on if you want. Hope that helps let me know what you think. Cheers!

    • @MR.TOYBOX
      @MR.TOYBOX 3 года назад +1

      @@MarkForrestAdventures makes sense . However the swim platform was never standard on the compact sport .
      It was an option the online configurator. You could add it for 599.00 . Yesterday they removed the ability to add the swim deck as an option for the compact sport on there online configurator . It’s gone .
      My guess is they realized if it was installed before you get it registered or insured it could cause an issue in some states that are picky and might break out the tape measure before registration. Not the case in Alabama .
      Unless it causes the boat to not perform safely I will add it after it’s registered.
      Great points . We might be closer to solving this mystery .
      I was about to get scooby doo involved. . The official dog of sea doo.

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  3 года назад +1

      I think you are right with it being installed before registering it could cause some paper work issues and cost.
      I can tell you that no it does effect the boats performance or safety at all. I think I might add it to mine after the fact but will see if I really do need it first other wise that's $600 worth of gas right there LOL

    Hiiii 👋🏽
    We really employed your video on the new Seadoo Switch. Hoping I can ask you a question about it. We’re a small family of four and we are now really considering preordering one; we were previously looking into a hurricane 185 sundeck but this really grabbed our attention. We’re a little concerned about water coming over the bow on the 18… did you experience that while riding on it? We life in Florida and would predominantly be using it in local lakes and the gulf. Just wondering if we can get your input. Thank you so much 👋🏽

    • @MarkForrestAdventures
      @MarkForrestAdventures  3 года назад +1

      Hello Mireya! Thank you so much! So there is the 16 that with the swim platform makes it an 18 and that can ride 5 to 7 people. I can tell you there there was no issues with water coming over the front when we were out on it at both slow speed and full speed. We had some wind so the odd time the spray from a wave would come over the side but you would get that in any boat. This would be great for lake and what you are looking to do with it. Plus you get so much more deck space that that hurricane you were looking at and can set it up how ever you need. I was checking about that water over the front as well and can say saw nothing that put me off and I am ordering one now as they are very cool. Hope that helps and if you have any other questions just let me know. Thanks for watching and for reaching out Cheers!
