  • Unfortunately their has been a trend of mixed dancing weddings even among Orthodox Jewish communities.. Spring and summer are a time for many weddings, but a Jewish wedding must be kosher. And mixed dancing is 100% forbidden.
    Another thing to look out for at weddings for Jewish singles looking for a shidduch is who's really single? If all the married women are wearing wigs, how does one tell? This is just one of many issue with wearing wigs, not the least of which is they all come from hindu temple SACRIFICES TO AVODAH ZARA.

    Grateful to Rabbi that we took Rabbi's advice about a secular daughter's wedding. Though not jewish, kept no mixed dancing...rid premises of all idolatry,..

    I know that the most important reason is obeying Hashem. At the same time, I actually prefer the separation. It's more enjoyable and relaxing.

    It is also not modest to film women dancing at a kosher wedding, separate from the men at a wedding and then posting online (sadly, I just saw a link for that) or men watching it at a later time, but it does happen and people don't think of that. That is why those who are stringent to do the right thing don't have videos at weddings.

      Is recording the ceremony permitted? Or live-streaming it? If I am ever blessed with another marriage, I would have many family and friends who would likely be unable to attend. Thank you.

      @@sitresjolie2343 Of course can record the ceremony, as long as is a kosher wedding with separate seating for men & women. You can have a video of the men dancing, but not the women and would have to make sure the videographer knows that. It also isn't modest for a man to video women dancing, so I don't know how the observant Jews even allow that at weddings, but maybe don't realize the problem with it. Is probably better not to record any of the dancing. You can also do a live stream of just the ceremony, there is no problem with that.

      @@sitresjolie2343Better to follow the Halacha strictly even if 2 persons only attend your wedding. I am not qualified to speak for the Rabbi, but I think that is exactly what he is saying. It is better you have two kosher men as witnesses than to have a mixed crowd with Shabbat violators. I made the same shameful mistake. May the ALMIGHTY forgive me.

      I study and learn for many years a lot about modesty, etc from Rabbis who speak THE EMET/TRUTH.. It isn't my personal beliefs/feelings, as I only go according to what The Torah says.

    Is that Rabbi Reuven? What year was this recorded?

    • @1InvisibleSongstress
      @1InvisibleSongstress 12 дней назад +2

      Yes it is Rabbi Reuven. This was 7 years ago, as I looked it up because in the beginning of this short clip, it says was from Pirkei Avot 44 which was posted Jun 14/17. I remember going to his lectures in Florida where he was using his phone to record like see here.
