English speakers often make the mistake by asking "Can I sit here?" when they really should be asking "May I sit here?". This is the same between 能 (can) and 可以(may), and it's also a common mistake among native Chinese speakers. People don't pay attention of what they say.
haha, not so much, but gracias 💕🤓 I know I still need to work a lot on my Spanish, maybe you noticed that I never said anything with “rr “in my videos in Spanish, because I still can't pronounce it 😂😩🐾🐾
Great respect for this great work, explained clearly and simply, easy to understand. Thank you for the great support in learning this fascinating language.
I learned a new word from you Jeffrey, nuances, I thought you meant "nonsense", haha, and I think it's very important to know the core meaning of each character, it helps a lot to know the nuances .
I love my language hahaha, that was actually easy for me cuz portuguese has 会(saber) and 能(ser capaz/conseguir)! Easy peasy! Seriously, all the example sentences you showed us are perfectly translateble into my language
Hi Yimin! I'm a Spanish native speaker, your videos motivate me a lot to learn Chinese, if you could learn spanish then I can learn Chinese🙌 Thank you for your clear explanations and good examples💕💕💕
hola hola, thank you so much for your message, I m happy to know that my videos are motivating , yes you can totally learn Chinese very well, and gracias por tu apoyo, te lo agradezco mucho , hugs
In Spanish 能 and 可以 are both Poder. ¿Puedo sentarme aquí? means both "May I sit here?" and "Do I have the ability to sit here?" Although most people wouldn't think it's the latter. I suppose it would be more proper in Spanish to say "¿Puedo sentarme aquí, con permiso?" But English and Chinese, one means Can I while the other one means May I. And the speakers of both Chinese and English make the mistake of asking Can I sit here when they really should be asking May I sit here (con permiso). It's not an problem in Spanish since there is no distinction.
