I had the same experience with the stock texture on the grip. I fixed it up using a bicycle tire inner tube. Helps soak up some recoil/vibration, adds texture and grip, and since I have large hands, helps fill out my hand more. Plus it’s very affordable.
I've had this gun since 2016 and It's still one of my favorite carrys. I own many other carry guns and I think come back to this one time and time again.

Hey, SPNFirearms have you had any issues with barrel peening on your pps in the past year? I heard about some pps having barrel peening in the past. I was wondering if they possibly fixed it.

My first pps m2 peened really bad. So far my 2nd one isn't
Yeah. I looked at this and the P-10M today. They both have great triggers, but the Walther felt better in my hands. Do you have opinions on how they are to shoot?
@@mlevy76 I’ve only shot the CZ. Imo, it shoots real good! I haven’t had any issues at all. I picked one up at a local gun show for $229 a couple of months ago. For the price, I figured I could always use an inexpensive pistol to take fishing. That being said, I agree that the Walther felt better in my hand. I’d definitely pick one up if I could find one under $350, but the only ones I see are still full price. Take care and have a good one!👍🏻
@@mlevy76 Anytime. I always enjoy good conversation. The main issue I have with the CZ is there aren’t any night sights available for it, (at least to my knowledge there aren’t.) Imo, it’s definitely not a huge issue though. That being said, I’m positive there are more accessories that readily available for the Walther, but for the price, the CZ is definitely a keeper. Btw, if you haven’t already, check out the Masada Slim. It’s about the same size as the Glock 43x, but the trigger is phenomenal! Also, there are a plethora of magazines readily available for different situations. In all honesty, it will be the next firearm purchase I make.😎
@@ChrisfromGeorgia I'm with you on this. My LGS has the P-10M for $300 and the regular/non-LE version of the PPS M2 for $350. They don't carry the Slim, but I've seen it at $450. I went yesterday and back again today with my CZ PCR in tow. The M2 felt like I didn't get a good grip on it, despite me liking it the better of those two. The P-10M felt better, but the guy pulled out a Shield Plus which fit me BEAUTIFULLY. It's $400 (or $450 with night sights and optics cut). I think what I'm going to do for the moment is try to make my CZ PCR work, if possible, in an IWB manner. I will have to take it off when I teach (just can't conceal it well enough for that), so if I can find a Ulticlip setup that works for it, it might mean I don't need something else. If I decide to go another route, it'll be $300 for the P-10M or $450 for the Shield Plus or Slim. I trust IWI completely (my first gun was a Jericho 941F9), but if I can't get ahold of one, that's a little too much money to spend on a gamble, when I know the Shield Plus fits me sooooo well and is such a solid performer. What do you think about that?
💯 - Agree on my M1 fitting my hand better. And, it's a shame that Walther is refusing to come out with a "double stack" PPS. That's why I'll be carrying a Shield Plus before too long
Ah the Walther PPS what a great tool. Love, love Walther. Yet I never carry anything without a Thumb Safety, because, as you mention, most shooting accidents occur during holstering. My go to choice today, for economy and reliability, is Ruger. ECS9 is an excellent solution. There are more expensive makes with the same layout, Hoeckler for example. The other thing about this is the myth which led many makers into the TG safety folly, - that one cannot draw and off the safety as quickly as without. Yeah right', yawn! I can any time and will out draw and shoot as fast, and faster than the 'foot remover' suicide HGs. Simple routine, thumb off as you acquire target.
Even with proper lubrication, holster w/sweat guard, and a T-shirt, mine was a 'rust magnet' (welcome to Alabama!) due to the carbon steel springs and pins used. Other than that irritating fact, I liked it.
Bought my M2 brand new in '20, and have carried it almost every day since. Put more than a few "aggressively designed" hollow points through it, not to mention a bunch of "ball rounds," and it's been absolutely reliable and "hides" very well. While I am no longer a fan of the "Walther company" and won't be giving them any more of my money, it doesn't change the fact that this is a great firearm.
@@Bamboosh00ts I was excited about the new "F" (small frame) line of pistols they introduced bout a year ago.
