Life isn't fair never was intended to be what do we take and learn from bad experiences. A few years ago I thought everything was good until God humbled me and taught me it wasn't about me. I learned about forgiveness, charity, and most important how the atonement works. I wouldn't trade those experiences for anything
Adam and Eve rejoiced because of the opportunity to learn good from evil through experience. Their redemption would have meant nothing if they had not experienced its opposite. As quoted, they would have done no good if they had not experienced its opposite (2 Nephi 2:23). People should thank God for the opportunity to learn from experience.
I wonder what Heavenly Father's plan would have been if Satan/Lucifer had not rebelled? How would opposition be provided to mankind if there was no one in all the kingdom of Heaven willing to rebel??? And here is another question. Why on earth would Satan ever allow himself to be used by God the Father as a pawn in some kind of Heavenly game of chess to bring about God's will and purpose??? If Satan really wanted to frustrate God's great eternal plan of Salvation then why not tell God - "Sorry God, but I am no going to do your dirty work. You didn't want to go for my plan so why would You even consider that I am going to let You Father God, take advantage of my fallen state just to suit Yours?" If Satan is such an enemy of God he never would have allowed himself to have some beneficiary role in God's ultimate plan! But he did and the biggest question is why?????? I'd say satan was so adamant about his way that hf decided to use it, knowing satan isn't easily just going to give up on what he wants, kind of a "reverse" of what you say, so instead of seeing as being used as hf pawn, he probably knew it already but it wouldn't matter to him as long as he gets what he wants (which fails to a certain degree owing to the fact that a lot of mortals won't make eternal life), satan...knowing this he probably thought he'd take what he can get, although he want whole of mankind to fail, he fails in this regard but still achieves what he wants with SOME...(actually many...because only a handful will make it). Here is the thing, the role of a Satan is just as vitaly important as there being a role of a Savior. Can't have one without the other. They are both equally important, vital and indispensable!!! Looking at it this way we must completely change our way in which we see what is really going on. What is really going on is that good and evil are essentially two sides of the same coin. The Yin and yang according to ancient eastern mysticism. Both roles must be filled! There is no other way according to what is written in Scripture. Therefore, was Satan then tricked into playing his evil role by God? Or are has the true nature of these things been kept secret from mankind until someday they can be fully and truthfully revealed? Here is a clue...What was EXACTLY, the Bitter Cup, that Jesus did not want to partake but ultimately accepted saying, "Thy will not mine be done!"

The assertion that God's plan for mankind is finished is absurd and contrary to the nature of God who can not change. He is perfect and unchanging. He knows all things and His plan will triumph over evil, but be in His time and and will be in accordance with his perfect regard for our right to choose.
