And the lines "Oh her cold round lips, they would hiss and spit, " This seems to talk about the round end of the cannon hissing when you fire out of it "Unmatched be the weight of her iron hips." Seem to imply she is a cannon. Also in the end his belt gets caught around her and he sinks with her to the bottom of the sea. I dont think a person would make you sink. "I clasped round his waist as the keel spun around." That is her line, and then his perspective is "With me old fine luck, oh me belt got stuck, Oh somewhere in the Southern Carribean. As we fell over board, down the deep we were sucked."" So I guess in this case Donnie would be the captain and Bonnie would be a really big cannon that he got.
