      @@DonnySRT I'm liking em quite a bit! It seemed to deepen the tone of my exhaust a bit and my butt dyno senses that it is slightly quicker although I haven't really been able to test it. It's been raining nonstop in Washington State for the last month +. I know I'll notice an even bigger difference once I throw a tune on it because currently I'm running a stock tune with shorty headers, full exhaust w/ stock cats for now, BBK 85mm throttle body and Legmaker Hammer Intake.

      I've had my BBK shorty headers on for almost a year now and I like the exhaust tone with magnaflow cat back exhaust. I had to go back to the speed shop because I had an exhaust leak. One of the header bolts became loose. All tightened up and backflow pressure and sound is good now.

I got longtube pacesetter headers for my 2001 5.4v8 triton f150. Will it sound like a low deep rumble or a loud raspy type. I hope its not loud and raspy. Cause that would suck. Right now my exhaust system is a nice deep rumble so im hopeing that the headrs will make it sound deeper.

    Didn't catch if you mentioned if they are 1 7/8s, or 1 3/4" and who makes them. I'm in the process of getting new racing wheels and drag radials for my Challenger, but it will be her next mod after that and is an expensive sport/hobby lol. Tires are so important thought because if we're spinnin we're not winnin as we all know, and will be so nice to finally be able to look. Even with 295s lowered, they still spin and is out of control with traction control off. So I'm getting some good ole sticky Mickeys in a 305, and can't wait to get them on the beast. It's still hard for me to fathom that hellcats come with 275s, and is totally insane lol. Demonology uploaded a vid of a header coating called jet hot yesterday afternoon, and had his kooks long tubes coated with it. Is actually reduces temps by 45%, and it is amazing stuff. Is designed for the aerospace industry and used to insulate rocket booster parts etc to shield them from excessive heat. His personal Mopar service tech was really impressed with it, as we all are. After watching the vid, l googled and found a set that are pre-coated and is what I'm going to do when I'm ready.. They are surprisingly inexpensive considering the coating is around $350, and you have to pay for shipping both ways when you have them done. Although I wanted 1 7/8, but these are 1 3/4 and is probably why they are such a great deal at a little over $1100. I have the link if anyone is interested, but it's for the 6.1 & 6.4 only though. Although, I'm pretty sure that they also have them available for the 5.7 and pentastar..store.jet-hot.com/products/jh-000020

    • @DonnySRT
      @DonnySRT  3 года назад +1

      I believe they are 1 3/4 which is what my tuner recommended. Yea man I'm trying to get tires next but between suspension, brakes, and tires (which everyone is bugging me about lol) stuff goes to well over 2 grand.

    • @lovethesmellofracefuelinth7374
      @lovethesmellofracefuelinth7374 3 года назад

      @@DonnySRT Wow, so then your tuner even recommended them and wonder if it's because its the 5.7. Because most of the ones that I've looked at for my SRT8, have been 1 7/8s and also fit the 392. In my never-ending quest for more car goodies, I've noticed that alotta parts fit each other on various applications with the two. So far from what I've noticed when I've been looking, the exhaust is the same from the headers all the way to the back and come from the factory with the 2 7/8s" pipe on the SRTs. So they are already pretty fat considering exhaust systems are usually made out of around 2 1/2" on alotta V8s out there, but I still got rid of mine and went with 3in for even better flow as well as weight reduction anyway lol. Getting rid of those massive suitcase resonators and mufflers, was one of the first mods that we did and flos so much better now. A lot of guys have been straight piping and is an inexpensive way to go, but I wanted to replace the stock system altogether and flos so much better now

    Ya not at all a Fair comparsion :(.
    Assuming from the wording, you had your stock cats with the Shorties, you went Catless for the Long Tubes.
    Having just tried my car with stock heads, res delete and super 10s, removing just the cats makes the car insanely louder. This is not at all a fair comparison.
    Yes its louder for the LTs, because your pretty much straight piped. Not that LTs are not said to be louder, but being straight piped makes a larger diffrence than just swapping to LTs, I am assuming as removing cats makes a LARGE sound diffrence.

    Dude if the shorties were catless then it would be a fair comparison 🤦🏾‍♂️

      You're totally right. The thing sits a little too high. I've been deciding which route I want to go though because messing with steering/suspension gives me anxiety lol. I dont wanna throw off the steering geometry so I've gotta buy all the supporting mods

      It depends on the car and engine but I would guess no. I don’t think you can put headers on the new Charger v6

    if you're going to do sound comparisons, you need to get a field recorder to capture the whole frequency spectrum.
