  • Just a quick video to catch up and to tell you what has been going on the past few weeks. Hoping things will slow down so I can get back to make videos again. Just hard to do all the things I need to do and also make videos. I could not sleep tonight so I am editing this one at 2:41am. Have not been able to sleep much the past soon to be 4 years (April) since Wyatt passed. Trying to make time for everything after work and get things done at the farm that has to be done and still spend time with my family leaves every little time for anything else. We do the best we can and put off till tomorrow what we cant get done today. Love yall see you on the next one

I've been making swarm traps, frames, boxes and organizing the bee house. You can never have enough sources of income and backup plans. Work in my repair shop is crazy right now. Our baby boy will be here May 17th so it's been crazy busy here too! Thanks for the update!!

@@dfishman76 Thanks partner. I just put out a video on it yesterday. It is made of old propolis wood from a cutout last year and holds 7 deep frames with a 8 inch void underneath. I use one old black brood frame with empty frames with starter strips and foundation on the outsides. I coat the new wood with bee's wax to make them smell more beelike. Thanks!

Good to see you again, Darrel. Love to see the progress on the farm, and love the baby calves/foals/chicks, etc. Saw a couple of new calves on the ground just today headed up to Ada, OK with my Mom to a doctor's appointment. She and a friend were in Antlers (far SE Oklahoma) yesterday, she says the daffodils are already in full bloom there, but ours are just now coming out of the ground. LOL, and we've snow and ice coming tonight! Go figure. Things have been a bit rough here as well--I'm retired and haven't been hurt too bad, other than higher prices, but one of my boys got laid-off due to Covid, so been trying to help them a bit--they've been literally "hand-to-mouth" lately. But God willing and the creek don't rise, we'll make it. Hug the wife and kids for us, okay?

Good to hear you. Sounds like you are getting otrganised. You seem to have done a lot. Bees her in Queensland okay. Got 2 long langstroth hives now. Just learning about local flora so I know a bit more.. Staying on the cattle station as much as possible. Wet summer bees slow to cap honey. Local show coming up this week. Will put 2 jars honey in and 2 lots wax, just to help make sure the judge has something to do. Stay well. Best wishes to family too.

Been missing you guys! I know it’s hard with working, trying to raise a family and all this COVID to record. I’ve got my bees doing well, my goats are now doing alright and I have some baby sheep coming in a few months. My chickens are kicking it even in this cold weather. I’m also beginning to raise quail this year. Glad you all are doing well…God bless.

Nice to see a video, had awful storms in the UK this week, red warning which is rare!!! All four of our hives have traffic so hopefully they'll survive the winter, although we sold quite a bit of honey last year it's not an income, use it really to buy equipment etc. Lifting restrictions here which is a worry, hourly hopefully with the vaccination programme it'll be under control .
