I know there's a lot of negative press - but Sunchokes are a close contender for a single crop; they grow LIKE weeds, store in the ground well, out-compete their competitors and have no disease problems potatoes do.
Yes on the sunchokes. We started our 2 years ago. They have spread out already
@@dominicebacher8065 sunchokes are pretty good. In giving more consideration to crops to be sustainable with, having perennials makes sense. Diversifying is also a great move. I also feel that adding hunting into the mix is a really great way to put some serious nutrition on the table. Though I have a fair bit to go to bring that skill set to reality.
