For the one that looks like cookie monster, try adding in an acrylic yarn of similar color , making it a 2yarn crochet which will give you a better way of feeling stitches as well as being able to do blo /flo crochet.

Love love love this series!! I just found some new big twist yarn at Joann that is AMAZING! It’s called big twist posh. It’s similar to the size or parfait but is more of the texture of bernat blanket. It’s so so nice to work with and has some really fun colors. Definitely recommend snagging some if it’s available in your area! It wasn’t even on the shelves yet I just saw it online and it must be waiting to go out.

You are kind of going from plush yarn entering into fur yarn. Have you tried to pair a smaller say a dk weight yarn in a similar color with your furry yarns it really makes a difference. I can Definitely see monsters in the furry yarn. Have you tried bernat sparkle. I liked it a lot. And i know that they have changed the formula to make bernat blanket softer as well. Which is exciting since i love how it works up. Thank you for this indepth review it is so appreciated. 🤗🥰

Once again, thank you for all of this super helpful ‘research’. Nothing is a fail while researching! That blue Bunny yarn octo is the perfect dog toy for your new sweetheart!! Just curious if you have used Premier Basix Chenille Brights? I want to try it to make some loveys out of the Mama Made Minis book, but of course they have been OOS since the book dropped. It’s maddening how long it takes them to restock! They must have really blown up fast and don’t have the manufacturing capacity to meet demand? Anyway, I really appreciate all of your research and cannot wait for the yarn combination leg of this project. It’s all super interesting!

Hi, I'm also in canada. 🙌🏻 If you were interested in ordering from Premiere Yarns, I reached out to them to see about customs and this is what they wrote, "Thank you for reaching out to Premier Yarns. We now ship with DHL for all of our Canada and international shipments. The program we use now has all duty and taxes included in the shipping cost. So therefore, that should be the only cost you would have to pay. If by chance they did try and send you a new bill or try to make you pay something else when the package gets in customs, then you should let us know so that we can figure out why. So far, we have had no customers saying they owed more.

Have you ordered from ICE yarns yet? I got a few from there a while back and I’m currently working up an elephant with the Velvet Chenille. I like it a lot. Thickness reminds me of parfait chunky, but it’s… bouncier; with a matte finish, and actually has a bit of a stretch. Magic circle 👍 frogging 👍 good on hook, no shed (except right at the end of the yarn tail). Not a ton of colors, but pretty inexpensive. I saw another RUclips channel use primarily ICE’s chenille baby which I hear is a tiny bit smaller. I’d be curious to see which options you pick!!
Ps my favorite velvet yarn (the ice one is not actually velvet) is premier retro velvet.
