I love the haircut first of all! Second of all Sunny is ADORABLE!!! Thirdly What I do when I go to markets is I pack a travel bag to bring with me with yarn and stuff to make the smaller easier items just to fill in holes and restock my table so I don't have to stress and worry after the market to restock stuff, especially on multi day markets.
I need to do that!! I get so distracted at markets! And thanks for noticing my hair! I was a little nervous about it 😂❤️

Congratulations on your market. I love watching your videos. I’ve been admiring funshine Care Bears since you made him as I absolutely love Care Bears and also collect them. The first time I saw him in your video background I literally screamed and my support worker came running in thinking something was wrong but I just burst into tears with excitement and said “it a Care Bear….” If you’re willing to part with him I’d love to buy him from you to add to my collection. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and I can’t wait to see more of your crochet projects and videos.

What a way to end the year!! Awesome!!!! Sonny is the cutest!! Oh my gosh, he's so precious!!! About 2 yrs. ago, I crocheted my (then) 5 yr. old great granddaughter a unicorn. It was so pretty, but a pain in the you know what too make!! I dare ask her if she still has it. I may not want to know.
Definitely don’t ask! Let’s just pretend that she sleeps with it every single night 😂

Sonny is adorable! Congrats on a very successful first year in markets! Can’t wait to see the turtle roundup! I already have a favorite turtle pattern but you may be able to sway me to a new one
I think we have the same favorite turtle pattern (Tiana?). I’m excited to see if I find others that are just as fun to make!

It's nice being market free for the rest of the year and being able to re-set on ideas for 2024 which is also what I'm doing (crocheting what I want instead of for market prep)

You know your stuff is awesome because those craft fairs are always hit or miss. And yours was definitely a hit! The downside is your out of inventory. I actually use safety eyes, but I also glue them with fabric glue and putting the back on. Then it's so hard to pull them out
I haven’t tried fabric glue! Do you glue them on the front of the plush? Or inside?
I don’t mean to comment on your prices but just a tip I see with crocheters all the time… when you make a plush for example with Bernat blanket yarn and then acrylic people tend to sell the acrylic for lowers. Such as ($10 and $20). Because of size. But the truth is that the pattern is still the same. The amount of yarn is the only change. The time amount doesn’t change therefore, it’s worth the same amount
You make a great point! Do you tend to keep the price the same regardless of the finished size? I’m going to have to dig deeper into pricing for spring markets. Thanks so much for the feedback. There was artist at one of my shows that made tiny amigurumi, and they were gorgeous! Worth every bit as much as a larger piece.

Karen I started to try and make a small monster with worsted weight yarn to practice. I’m hoping that you can suggest something. So is there a trick to being able to count stitches and not lose track of your count? I use the stitch markers, and I even tried using a piece of yarn. I get to round 4 and it’s 1 sc then 1 increase (example) and supposedly I should be ending with an increase but I’m not for the 6 th time in a row. I’m frustrated! Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Yes!!! That’s the worst, it happens to all of us. I promise it gets better. You will find a rhythm that works for you. I almost song the pattern in my head, “one, two, in, crease”. I divide up the word “increase” so it takes two counts. I know it sounds silly, but that’s what works for me most of the time.

Hi there!! Definitely just take the leap and do it!! I spent weeks and week “almost” applying for a market, I was so nervous! And when I finally did, I was even more nervous! But as soon as I got to the market, it was a blast!
My best advice is to not stress out too much about your booth setup the first time! You’ll fine tune it as you go!
I didn’t need a sellers license, but I know all states are different. I recommend looking for a Facebook group for handmade sellers in your area!
