PART TWO IS UP! Come and join me review more patterns and leave suggestions for patterns you'd like to see me breakdown🥰 ruclips.net/video/u67KpttKnck/видео.html
I'm so glad you liked it! I'm so passionate about markets and I love talking about product/ cost breakdown and trying to make it as easy and simple as I can!
Don't stamp your plant pot. Make a little plant tag to poke into the pot (like you get at a nursery) and put your logo on one side and "care" instructions on the other!
rewatching this video now that i've signed up for my first market and i just want to say it's crazy how much you've grown in your personality coming through! i feel like you've really found your style and it's always a joy to watch your videos :)
I'd definitely love to see this as a series! Also if you want to stamp your logo on the plant pots, doing it on the bottom like a vase, mug, flower pot, etc that you'd buy at a store might be a good idea.
Exactly what I am doing all the time. Trying to find enjoyable patterns that take less than two hours to make after I have made a few (as I am still working in my speed). I also see if I can assembly line it to help speed up the process. I enjoy having seasonal items at my markets, things young men would also enjoy and not a whole bunch of what so many other crocheters are selling.
these are great! I have a handful of plant patterns and i hate making the pot part, i wonder if hot glue and teracotta will be my savior! For stamping - i maybe wouldnt stamp the side but maybe a stamp/sticker on the bottom?
I believe it will save you! Lol I could not fathom/ be bothered making the pot tbh. Let me know if you give it a try! And thank you for your input! I think it would be better off on the bottom as well
Hey! I love your will it market videos! I really wanna make those popular oval-ish chickens, but I’m not sure which pattern I should spend my money on as a highschooler with limited budget. Thank you!
Im so glad you enjoyed the video! I would hands down say the oak and marlow pattern is the best pattern you can get. I think its about $6 on etsy and a little tip, if you put it in your etsy cart and leave it there for awhile. More times than not youre sent an atleast 10% discount code to use at checkout so you can save alittle extra! Awesome for you learning and starting this all so early! Thats incredible ☺
Loving your videos!! And all the ideas! The vintage Walmart name is hilarious but it’s soooo cute! You inspired me last video to do a smiley Fanny pack, and my daughter has claimed it 😂
Good advice! I just went on Amazon and bought some pots! I don’t think the stamp would be a great idea. It might make people less likely to see it as a decor piece for their home. A little plant spike tag would be adorable though!
I have been practicing.....but it took me ALL DAY to make a tiny no face Kirby. I don't think your prices are unreasonable. I don't sell. I just make gifts. Your channel is awesome.
You told me to keep practicing. I'm getting better and better everyday. I get my first package of safety eyes tomorrow. You are GREAT inspiration. So, thank you.
I’m so glad it helped! I would highly recommend joining a couple Facebook groups that are based in Tampa for craft shows! This is how I find quite a few shows, you do have to check pretty regularly. Another great website is eventbite , I find a couple events through there too. You can also follow certain venues after you vend at them if you had a positive experience to stay in the loop of when they may have an upcoming shows!
If you tried doing that aloe plant but in chenille or plush yarn in a bigger pot would you like it more? Same time to make, maybe even less because I personally crochet quicker with plush yarn and it would be bigger and so cute!
This email is very enlightening. I crochet, but I've not yet done a market . Everything that I've made so far takes way longer than 2 hours to make. I'm thinking I would NEVER be able to charge $15 for every hour I spent making something. From a customer point of view, I'm thinking that the prices are exorbitant, totally out of reach. However, maybe I need to update my opinion on what is currently considered "expensive". Do customers really pay that much for those items, enough customers to make your market a worthwhile venture? Thank you for this education on pricing.
If youre interested in starting to do markets I would look into a few patterns that would possibly take you an hour or less to accompany your 2 hour items as well so you can have a variety in price for those who maybe dont have the budget to spend $30+ on an item. But in my experience, I will say some people have no issue spending a decent amount of money. Especially if its something they really want and you made it well, customers (mostly) understand and appreciate your hard work and realize the price will reflect that!
As far as the pots- put a sticker on the bottom with your information on it. Or maybe like a QR code. So your "tag" is on the pot, but it is not obstructing the cuteness of the little succulent plant.
So for items like the mermaid, what about having a display mermaid that .can. sell, but also providing "DIY Bags" that have the pattern and materials for making a mermaid themselves? This of course would only work for things you created the pattern for.
Thank you so much! I used big twist posh for these which is unfortunately discontinued at the moment. But Premier Parfait Chunky is a great alternative!
Great video, informative, interesting and loaded with useful tips and info! Thank you. Just a friendly warning, the face you use for your funny pack is copyrighted and they are known for taking to the court any small businesses using the yellow face that every child used to draw in the kindergarten. Funny fact, the guy who copyrighted it did not even create it or use it first.
Yes, thank you I appreciate the warning. Just this week I saw Emma in the moments video on her channel about the smiley face ordeal. It's so wild, I'll be keeping the yellow smiley bag and staying farrrrr away from the yellow smiley especially from here on out.
You could definitely stamp your logo on the bottom or maybe put a sticker on the bottom with your logo on it. That way whoever buys it can remove it if they want to.
I really need to start pricing my things better... Currently underpricing myself so badly. 3 face scrubbies (3 of them takes me around 2 hours, I'm kinda slow) from me costs 6 euros, or 2 packs for 10 euros A pair of earrings, where it takes me ~2.5 hours is around 5 euros. Some are 7 euros, but those are really detailed/they have fancy beads in them. Earrings that take me overall less than 1.5 hours are 2.5 euros! I really need to start thinking more like 10e/hour wage for some of my works, maybe in the future as I build a name for myself...! Currently only selling them in person/in my country (🇫🇮), sorry!
Oh gosh yes please do! I'm sure your earrings are beautiful and absolutely worth to be paid for the 2.5 hrs of your time! Especially if they are very detailed! I believe in you and growing a name for yourself! I wish you all the best of luck ❤
Watch out for the smiley face comp. I hear they like to sue small creators and anyone using smiley faces. From what I have seen that is why Walmart no longer uses it.
Thats okay! As long as you feel thats fair to you and your comfortable with that price. If not though, I believe there is no problem in giving yourself a raise!

I like this video format! A lot of crocheters who are willing to talk about money are still not this detailed about it. I think this is great!
I'm so glad you liked it! I'm so passionate about markets and I love talking about product/ cost breakdown and trying to make it as easy and simple as I can!
I always tell people how I do at the markets. I break down the table and square fees and how much I make.
Don't stamp your plant pot. Make a little plant tag to poke into the pot (like you get at a nursery) and put your logo on one side and "care" instructions on the other!

Thank you for your suggestion! And I’m really glad you enjoyed the video I’m looking forward to making this a series for sure 🫶🏻🥰

@@BlondieKnots thank you SO MUCH! That helps me out huge! 🫶
Thank you for all your tips
thank you so much! 🥰
I think for the succulent you should put your brand sticker on the bottom so you have it stamped but not compromising the look
Thank you! I agree with you I think that’s the way to go 🥰
Loving your videos!! And all the ideas! The vintage Walmart name is hilarious but it’s soooo cute! You inspired me last video to do a smiley Fanny pack, and my daughter has claimed it 😂
Ohhh yay!! I’m so happy to hear I inspired you to make one of your own! Your daughter is a lucky girl!!🥰🫶🏻

I'm so glad you got some pots for yourself! And okay yes, that was my exact thought! Thank you so much for your input! Its much appreciated!🥰
Great video! Love the series idea.
I’m so glad! Thank you!

Adore the Fanny pack
What is your advice on finding a craft market. I live in Tampa😃 love your video- it helped me so much

Omg I purchased the same bunny pattern. He’s soooo cute
Yess!!! He really is the cutest!!

Ohhh wow! I love that idea. I’m going to give it a shot. Definitely would help price justification as well!

@@BlondieKnots Thank you for those helpful tips.
This was very helpful!!
What about for the plants adding a little brown paper sleeve with your logo and then the customer can take it off if they want or leave it on!!
Ohhh what a cute idea!! Like a coffee cup sleeve idea almost, I love that, thank you for the advice 🥰
ok I need that bunny!!!
YES you def do!!
@@BlondieKnots I'm in Canada and I just can't pay 11 dollars for a pattern I'll have to wait for a sale lol

Yes! That is a great idea for patterns you write yourself! Thank you I will keep that in mind for the future if I create an amigurumi pattern!
LOVE THIS VIDEO! What type of yarn did you use for the turtles??
Thank you so much! I used big twist posh for these which is unfortunately discontinued at the moment. But Premier Parfait Chunky is a great alternative!
@@BlondieKnots thank you!!!
Great advice!
Im so glad you think so! Thank you (:
So cute!! I just got the mermaid and bunny pattern last week! What yarn did you use on both? Thank you for sharing!
✌️🏻🤟🏻🧶
Yay!!! They are some of my favorites! I used Big Twist Posh yarn from Joanns, it's definitely become a new favorite of mine!
Well done! Thank you.

@stitchesbypati makes the cutest patterns :D
I agree!!
Quite certain that plants (even though they might not have faces) are still amigurumi.
What is the pattern for the fanny pack??
I have a whole video tutorial on my channel and a written pattern on etsy if youd like to use that
@@BlondieKnots thank you, i actually realized after i asked this that there was a tut and i already made one today, turned out amazing!!

I am in USA...most earrings at markets here are at least $10.00. For fairly plain ones. Price up friend price up
Stamp your logo on the bottom!! That way it's there but not seem unless you pick it up
Hear me out.....with the bunnies you can grab some fabric squares and let people pick out blankets for their bunnies when they buy them
STOP IT RIGHT NOW! What a CUTE idea! I love it
Xq no muestta el paso a paso?!😮😢
The tutorial is its own video on my channel
Watch out for the smiley face comp. I hear they like to sue small creators and anyone using smiley faces. From what I have seen that is why Walmart no longer uses it.
I just recently heard about that. Thank you, it is very scary and I am going to be very careful its horrifying that that's happened
I only charge myself $12.55 cause that’s what I get paid in my part time job
Thats okay! As long as you feel thats fair to you and your comfortable with that price. If not though, I believe there is no problem in giving yourself a raise!
Put your logo under the pot
There is no way I could make that succulent in 11 mins. You’re a whizz 😅
