Good review, the biggest question I had which is unfortunately still unanswered: Is the magnet safe enough to keep it mounted and not lose it? Eg., riding on dirt bikes will a random branch rip it off without you noticing?
While hardly the biggest question or concern, the magnetic mount is strong enough for me to mount the camera on the chin of a motorcycle helmet. Also, the action 2 has an attachment point for a leash/tether. When riding a dirt bike a branch can rip off a camera by breaking a plastic mount depending on how hard you hit it.
The hero 10 topping out at 100mbps is what hampers it's 5K clarity. DJI bumping it up to 130mbps is a much better way to go. More information captured is better than more resolution captured.
Great comparison as always Ben!! I like the DJI most, I woul think the gopro is best but the DJI one surprised me and now going for DJI. Love the wide angle and the colors. Also it does a great job is locking the horizon level and well as very well stabilized image! Thanks for the action camera comparison as well by the way. Now I'm even more conflicted with that I want to get though because each camera is fantastic at a few things but doesn't really master everything. Darnit.
I am planning an extended solo trip right now to Thailand and Vietnam. I want to make videos I'm just not sure what camera to get yet. Thanks for the video

Finally! Been waiting on this video!
The most awaited video. Finally. Love from Uganda 🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬
🙏
Uganda has internet 🙀
DJI did a good job but should have added the sd card slot on the main cam body..don't think internal storage was really need at 22gb. GoPro may also release a tiny cam now 😁
would be harder to keep waterproof if they added a hole for the SD card
it seems like the single mic sounds better. was not expecting that.
i am so tirn on liking and disliking this camera all at once.
the magnets are fun.
its good for fpv , so win over gopro
Do these come with controllers? To hit record so u don't have to touch them?
thank you Sir, I love review that expose downside of products against the marketing claims. subscribed
nice comparison made. smooth review which made me subscribed. 🤘
When it comes to a wrestling match like this I always choose the bigger, blacker camera. - Norm MacDonald
Sweet comparison man!
It would be nice to see a comparison test again of these 2 action cams but with the addition of the functional case on the Action 2 this time!
Hi great video. The camera can be charged when shooting from a power bank. This would not have to deal with battery life. and a Samsung Micro SDXC EVO Plus UHS-I U3 memory card can be inserted. Thanks for the info.
First review I've seen with low light test. Thanks for that. The slightly larger sensor on the DJI is meh. Cool gadget tho. I want one.
Osmo action vs action 2 would be appreciated!
Thanks for the best reviews once again.
I love the versatility of the Action 2 but the GoPro 10 just seems leaps ahead of the Action in terms of images quality. Dynamic Range, Distortion, and Resolution seem to be in GoPro's favor. But form factor is really enticing with the Action. Different cameras for different scenarios.
it's hard to tell really. dynamic range looked good on gopro (his shirt) but then in one of the pool shots you could see more with the action 2. sky was GoPro Blue as expected but nothing that can't be tweaked in post. resolution is indeed better in gopro. i think at the end of the day , if not looking side-by-side, it doesn't really matter.
Great video- lots to offer and to the point. Thank you.
Also get a magnet uv filter to go over the lens to protect it you can get circular polariser and nd filters too that can be stacked
IMO the ability to change the battery out on the GoPro wins it for me.
There are clips both sides! It would never lose unless you release it manually.
How about sky diving
@@christyanbudisusilo5812 Not an issue as well
@@brianl9084 Is this legit? They are that strong!?
The hero 10 topping out at 100mbps is what hampers it's 5K clarity. DJI bumping it up to 130mbps is a much better way to go. More information captured is better than more resolution captured.
Yet DJI captures less detailes and information.
@@SketchTurnerZero Dji has bigger sensor, it captures more details than gopro
@@cyber1991 This video literally shows the opposite - the picture from GoPro is times better
I honestly think the Action 2 FOV is to wide. It gives a weird look to video’s.
I can understand that
@@AuthenTech is the super wide option like superview in a GoPro that stretches the edges? Is there a less wide view without cropping the image?
@@stefpix There are 3 options: Ultra Wide, Wide, Standard (Dewarp)
Great comparison as always Ben!! I like the DJI most, I woul think the gopro is best but the DJI one surprised me and now going for DJI. Love the wide angle and the colors. Also it does a great job is locking the horizon level and well as very well stabilized image! It is true that the gopro hero 10 did better in terms of pictures but I think we use the action camera for shooting videos in situations where a DSLR would not be appropriate and yeah definitely going for the DJI Action 2!!!
I’ve been waiting for this! I’ve never clicked a video so fast lol
Hmmm. This is probably the first time I've actually interested in the video sponsor. I was wondering what I would do for music when I finally start up my own channel and was just going to go with a completely silent set but the Artlist pricing seems pretty good. Was a bit concerned with what would happen to my videos if the subscription lapses and it seems they thought of that ahead of time and took the time to put that exact question to rest under the subscription page.
Thanks for the action camera comparison as well by the way. Now I'm even more conflicted with that I want to get though because each camera is fantastic at a few things but doesn't really master everything. Darnit.
That's right DJI, I like to be able to record longer on my action cam! Great idea to give away that magnetic protective case!
DJI Action Camera 2 KILLING IT!!!! :)) I love it so much! Lucky to have one! thanks for the review!!! Much love from the Philippines!!
Try 2.7k with 4:3 res for better low light in DJI
10 seconds in, and Ben already give us useful info, most reviers uses 3 min just to get started . Ben is the most effective reviewer on youtube.
How is it that in every other review the gopro 10 video is sharper than DJI A2?
i love your review...
greetings from the Philippines...
Good video! Was waiting to see it. How does the hyperlapse compare to go pro and the original action? Keep up the great content.
Can't wait for comparison with insta go 2
I’ve had to many cases where my DJI wasn’t recording due to heat… I’m sorry but I’m sticking with my Hero 10
The frozen issue is more like GoPro thing instead. I have been using dji since it first came out in 2019 and not even once i got the frozen screen.
I am planning an extended solo trip right now to Thailand and Vietnam. I want to make videos I'm just not sure what camera to get yet. Thanks for the video
I dropped my Gopro Hero 7 at 30mph and it was still recording when I picked it up. That Action 2 will turn to dust. Also no one notice his long mutated arm while holding it on the selfie stick vlogging with the Action 2?
Finally long wait review is back
Took a minute, but few more coming soon :)
Every comparison that you make is great and those places, wow. Where is that?
Orange Beach, AL - it was beautiful!
Love watching videos like this - very nice
For my kind of use (indoor range shooting, computer webcam, etc.), I think I'm going to stick with the Hero 8. Thank you, you've been a great help for deciding to pick it.
Edit: A part of me is craving for sharper looking images though; 12 MP isn't a lot, even if it gets the job done. But if you want to see sand grains, consider getting something better than the 8.
How do you like it?
Fantastic review 🙂
Great comparison. Well done.
