2022 tundra for sale. New. Low parking lot miles. Never abused.
😅 buyers remorse you say?
Impressive. But if I had to pick one, I'm choosing that lunar rock tro pro everytime.
Thank you for the side by side view, this video made me decide to keep my 21 pro lunar rock for a long time. It looks better, it's proven, reliable and very capable. Eats a little gas but my family's comfort level is first class.
And you get more space than the new crew max.
I actually really like both trucks. They both look pretty good
In the real world the fuel economy of the new ones isn’t much of an improvement. Love my ‘17
Excellent comparison, very interesting👍🏼
I wonder if the tire size lowers the torque ratio enough to make a difference in the test. Also "tow haul" mode helps the 21 acceleration
thanks for the video👍👍
This was a badass video Jeff. No doubt the new tundra is a rocket but I'm still wondering how it will do long term. Can you find out how the new rear diff compares to the 21? Toyota showcased how robust the rear diff is as well as the control arms etc. wondering how the 22 compares
I love this guys energy
What does the 2021 tundra have for tires and size and for a lift?
Hi Jeff I get a? I already ordered the 22 Tundra & I got the vin# how can I track my Tundra status? thank
Lol 21 owners are comforting themselves to save $$$ on upgrade by just highlighting the few brighter sides of 2021. But for me, I trust Toyota and go with flow of technology. It’s by the way third gen tundra and obviously Toyota doesn’t build crap !
Do you have any 2021 trd pros in lunar rock for sale?
Thank you for the Tunda comparison. I was surprised that the 2022 won the tug of war.
Things you won't find on a carfax report. 😆 In all seriousness, great video.
To be accurate and declare a winner for the tug of war, you would need to insure both trucks have the same tires. Both have the power but whatever tire can hookup will win. The 22 looks like it has more of street/highway truck tread vs the 21's all terrain tread. I would bet on street tires anyday, go do the same test in the grass or dirt and the 21 will dominate..
They'll both work for me as long as I can tow any of my horses with them I'll be fine with either one the only difference is that the 2022 just accelerates alot faster with that 10 speed which is insane.
I had the option of buying the 22 at the dealership before it was released, they were going to order it but I insisted on the 21, last year of one of the best engines made for Toyota, it’s like the 06 jeep inline 6, the 22 is way nicer when it comes to comforts but I just couldn’t get myself to accept the untested new engine and transmission made for a full size truck, the 22 might wow everyone in the future but I like simple knobs in the interior and the look of the 21 trd off road package with built in storage for the bed
Thanx for showing how you treat new truck.. let the new buyer do that 👍👍👍
I think the larger and heavier tires on the 21 didn’t help this comparison out one bit.
Hard to say but for it a be a fair tug of war they need the same set of tires
Jeff next time press the beast mode button on the 21’ when racing
Exactly what I was thinking.
Theres other videos. The 2022 always wins
Tow haul? Lol y’all really think that would make it faster while it might make it respond a bit quicker on or off it’s not adding any power and another thing even if it did give you some advantage you could turn it on in the 22
Why you don't put the same tires to the trucks?🤔
because this video is just for views and not a serious comparison?
Imagine the TRD pro power 2022
There is another video where the old tundra beat the new 2022 Tundra. So don't know. I think we need more tug of war videos.
The ironic part about that video is everyone is shitting on the v6 but those peps are nowhere to be found now 😂
I'm still keeping my 2020 Tundra Limited TRD 4x4. I like the V8.
Beginning of video: My hypothesis is that the 2022 is ugly.
End of video: I was right, it still is.
I think you wanted to buy Ford lol. Ford trucks break down anytime.
So let's recap. Ford outsells Toyota 7 to 1. Sure there will be things that reach the spotlight when you're slamming the competition by sheer volume. More trims, a multitude of engines, better towing, better payload, better Offroad, a multitude of front end grills (unlike the 2022 brick that the Tundra offers) can power a house and job site, more interior room, doesn't have some ridiculous composite bed, already blowing every major truck market away in electric power across the board, doesn't make you pay for your info-tainment on a monthly basis....
What am I missing?
But better in every way
Impressive new performance, but let’s see how it passes the garage after 100K miles
The power of the 2022 is incredible! The question is...is it reliable?
Only time will tell, it’s too early to say. Being that it has a TT setup I will guess it will not be as reliable as the 5.7 V8.
I trust toyota. They test these motors extensively for millions of miles to figure out what goes wrong. Proper maintenance and taking care of your vehicle and i think it will be another million mile tundra
I pray that my friend is ready to sell his 21 when my 05 wears out.
Is the 3.5 Tundra the same engine block as the Tacoma just turbo charged?
I was wondering the same
No. It's from the Lexus Ls500. It's actually 3.49 liters.
@@supervong1 3.444444 actually.....
The 22 looks and sounds like a gentle, politically-correct hipster, the 21 looks and sounds like it'd beat the living hell out of you just for looking at it sideways...
I'll stick to the gen 2 v8, thank you...
Can't compare looks until the 2022 TRD Pro comes out. If you put an 2021 SR5 beside this TRD Pro it would look pretty wimpy.
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME
I own a 21 lunar Rock TRD Pro with ONLY 125 miles on the dash.
Can't pick 21 or 22.
IT'S TOYOTA.
ONE SICK TRUCK ON PLANET EARTH.
GOD BLESS JAPANESE TECHNOLOGY.
Thank you for sharing
2022 better be waaaay better on gas , the slight better tow and acceleration doesn't win over the sound of that v8 . I had a 2016 crew limited and loved it . The 2021 looks much nicer too .
My 15 5.7L sounds great with American racing headers and Magnuson supercharger!
2-3 mpg better on average lol
yeah the 21 looks more simpler compared to the 2022s overly sharp edges and looks like a box
My guess was the 2021 because of the aggressive tires. But I guess the added torque and turbo still took the win. Good tug battle. Now I'm torn between the silverado and this Tundra beast. The only thing that will keep me with the silverado is if its the diesel.
I suggest you go for the silverado comparing the 2022 tundra, but if it was a 2021 then definitely the tundra.
@@tabishvanti2526 I ended up getting a 2018 high country Silverado. Mainly because of the amenities and the price for the bang. Then thez fuqers (Chevy) rebranded the dash to this ultimate spaceship beast.
my moms 2006 or 2008 Lexus 450h is a hybrid with 300,000+ miles so I think the new Iforce max battery will last that many miles
I think Toyota is making a tactical error by not at least offering a V8 option. Americans want full size trucks to have V8 engines.
Also, in my opinion, the 22 looks Silverado150ish.
It's not a "world beater" as promised. Actually it won't really compete with Chevrolet or Ford full size trucks.
They offer non turbo v-8's that get decent mileage.
Right I agree. I understand they wanted to go green, but they should’ve at least offered the hybrid V8 that they had a decade ago in the LS600h.
Glad that’s not my Tundra I’m waiting for LOL
Both trucks are purrrrdy
I own both trucks and to be fair this is a video by a dealer. I don't "trust" the results because no Toyota dealer in their right mind would want to discredit or make the new model look bad in any way shape or form. They want it to look better so they sell them
What was that horrible knock when the 2022 started up at 4:43 for the exhaust comparison? Not good!
I heard it and thought the same.
I Also was not all that impressed on the tug of war.
Saw another video where the 21 didn't only win.
But it pulled the 22 like a trailer
The horn on the 2022 sounds better
Did you torch the tranny ? That was a lot of smoke !
Still take the 2021 any day over that 2022.. Toyota screwed up big time by going away from the 5.7...
My view still stands I am not a fan of smaller displacement engines with turbos. My view was partially confirmed we all know turbos will not last a lifetime. Case in point just imagine when that turbo goes out after you look at these videos of waist gate issues with the new Toyota tundra and finally come to realize that the cab has got to come off also to replace a very expensive part. Have fun with that!
The cab don’t have to come off it just makes the job a little easier and y’all really act like turbos can’t last my current truck has 155k original turbo our other one 315k original turbo and most another thing if I’m. It mistaken Toyota recommended pulling the cab to do the cam tower leak repair but people still did it with out pulling it
Tundra vs Tacoma on steroids
Another great video Jeff.
I still feel like the 21 is a real truck and the 22 just looks weak to me. I definitely don’t think it’s worth more than the 21.
Interior alone makes it a better truck. Absolutely love mine!
V6tt walks the V8 what are you talking about it looks weak 😂 the only weak thing I see is your ego
Not bad 2022 toyota tundra. I wish toyota tundra 2022 is 4.0 twice turbo.
Tug of war in 4wd please!
My 14 tundra is way faster than that. Someone's not driving it right. That blue tundra wouldn't have seen anything by my taillights....
It’s not unless your running mods the previous gen is not quicker I’ve raced a few in my 22 and it’s the same as what you just seen
i can swear that 2022 was on fire.
Man that tundra should get that turbo checked out lol
The better mpg 19 vs 15 is great but reliability yet to be seen on the twin turbo. In the tug of war they heated the tires on the 22 and in the other video the 21 won the tug of war.
That engine was used on a Lexus first so I think it's gonna be okay
My dealership ask me every oil change to trade my 2014 crewmax an I'm never doing it, that new 2022 isn't my thing I would buy a rebel first.
21 sounds better but it does have the TRD exhaust I also thought the 21 would win the tug of war but I guess not lol pretty cool to see anyways
The only thing contributing to the 22 winning the tug-of-war were the street tires.
Should be comparing 2022 against the new domestic trucks in your videos not the old 21 tundra.
Still rather have one of the big 3 ram gm or ford
I think the 2022 trucks one because it literally just poured 2021 right out in a tug-of-war challenge
Thank You Almighty God I will buy one for myself
I like the new tundra i priced a fairly b equipped 1 and its cheaper than ford and chevy
I love both tundras
Toyota, please don’t f up the new Tacoma like you did the tundra for off road use.
The dealership isn't going to advertise a 2021 beating a "new and improved " 2022 model that costs more $$$$.
The 2022 is a nice truck, but I doubt you'll see the engine last 300-500k miles or more like the 5,7 liter V-8.
Toyota should update and upgrade the V-8 option if they really wanted to compete with Ford or Chevrolet.
The gas turbo engine isn't going to last as long as a diesel Powerstroke or Cummins.
All V8 engines are going away, all over the world there will be a halt in production on every V8 and larger, haven't you been watching the news and reading the reports....
The Ford F-150 Raptor is a 3.5L V6 twin turbo, not a V8 anymore.
Entertaining but tug of war is really a test of the TIRES when trucks are evenly matched.
Put the trucks in low lock 4 wheel drive, and see what happens to the 2022 tundra
2022 body look better and too fast too strong. I can’t wait for the 2022 TRD Pro out.
said no one
Base model vs Top of the line 🤔
We want to have a choice between the two engines. And… I think the dealership owes the employee a new pair of K/O Beefy G’s and a tank of gas. Just saying
How about who makes it to 400k miles first, that is what really matters...
I still will pick the 21 over the 22💪🏾
if only the 21 had a 10 speed.
Why don’t you do an actual tug in 4 wheel low with minimal slippage, instead of just blasting the rubber off the tires? That doesn’t prove anything.
That really sucks for the employee. Why would you use his truck for this?!
21 all day. 22 is an XL Taco.
Just here for the 2022 Tundra haters
Of course the new one won, how are you hoping to sell new if the old one is deemed better!
Hey there thanks for watching. The new one will sell very quickly and has already. And the old one will also sell as a preowned vehicle very easily. Both vehicles were trying their hardest in our scenario :)
2022 Tundra turbo problems already know thank you
At the end of the day the 2022 has a v6….. no quema cuh
No tow hooks on the 2022. WTF Toyota?
Feel sorry for the employee that loaned his truck and for the new truck. Just crank it up and cold rev the crap out of it. Didn't even give the oil time to get to the top of the engine. Oh well...
2022 trd pro tundra vs 2021 tundra duh
Hmm, save Money on the 21 and super charge that 21.game over!
Other videos showed 2021 tundra winning the tug of war.
Turn skid control off
22 tug of war
Of course the '21 Tundra is the better truck here.. the '22 Tundra is a complete redesign and the truck is already having major problems
Rip for the tires on that 2022
Why were they not in 4WD with weight in the back for the tug of war? It was a test of tires only. Stupid
the 22 all day long
You can tell the tug of war was staged for the 22 to win. I’ve seen multiple videos of the older 5.7 tundra almost effortlessly drag the new 22
I bet on the wrong truck
Buy new Tundra get rid of it before it hits 50k miles. Those turbos cost an arm and a leg to fix.
2022 tundra win
😀
Put my 2020 F350 6.7 turbo diesel quad cab 4x4 up against that tundra for a tug o war contest. Lmao.
He smoked him in the tug of war .... literally .... now do it with the iforce MAX and watch poor little v8 tundra get smoked again. Ok that second smoke pun was bad...sorry
this is dumb why dont u wait for the hybrid tundra and do this video
Gay!
what an ugly chevy rip off
Chev would be proud .
I'm a huge Toyota fanboy but the turbo V6 was the completely wrong move, would have liked to see a single turbo small block v8 option even a the 5.0 v8 from Lexus as an option.
