I appreciate what you are doing for us. I currently can only talk on 10 meters at 28.3 to 28.5. I do alot of listening to learn about being a new professional speaking operator. Thank you for your time. KC1TWE.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Listening is the best way to learn in this great hobby of ours. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me. We never stop learning in this hobby no matter how long we have been active. Happy New Year and hope to catch you on the bands.
That little UPS has to be screaming if that Astron is plugged in to it. Something like 1kw from the wall under full load? Nice setup though. I still want a base station with a video out some day.
The power supply is plugged into UPS. It is not meant to transmit. I had power go off and on here a few times and spike from supply wiped out firmware on my 101. Now if power goes out this keeps my Astron power supply running until I can turn it off. Thanks for watching.
Jim, I appreciate the tour of your station, but I have a few questions. What motivated you to move from making contacts to making contacts and doing live streaming? Also, can you tell me the bandwidth you have to support the live stream? Lastly, I'd like to know how much preparation is needed for each livestream production. Your work is impressive. Keep it up. DE KC5CYY.
Thanks for watching Paul. I have always liked to hear what my station sounds like all over the world so I decided to give everyone else that same chance. Maybe they adjust their audio to sound better or adjust a gain. Everyone seems to like it. It takes me just a few minutes to set up and start the stream. I run OBS studio which is a little complicated at first til you know what you are doing. If you have any questions please email me and I can help you out. 73's
Good evening Jim and congratulations on the beautiful shack. I wanted to ask you something about streaming: regarding the video capture card, how do you get video output from the monitor? Is the audio separate or do you get it from the same output? A thousand thanks 73 de Giuseppe iw0hpt
