Finally an episode I relate to 99%. That place reminds me of Khirki Extension near Malvia Nagar in South Delhi, where I spent my college years and early career. This was the early 2000s and I make it a point to visit my old place whenever I'm in Delhi for work etc. I also stayed in North Delhi in a place called Vijaynagar in a 1RK. Well actually the kitchen was part of the room. The only other room was the bathroom. No AC, lights would go off 8-12 hours everyday and we had cows roaming around and shitting everywhere. I lived alone in that place to cut costs and it was really lonely. There were nights I would literally cry myself to sleep or spend on the terrace because of the heat and lights were off. As they say, struggle first enjoy later.
