started as an LPN/LVN then bridged to RN. keep going! lpn/lvn school is brutal, the hardes thing ive done to date! RN school was a recap with a bit of add ons and more in depth on a few things. but i didnt go in blind sided like i did for LVN/LPN lol. this time i knew what to expect and graduated as an RN and licensed. but LPN/LVN will always be my foundation, the most money ive made in my life before becoming an RN. so yes LPN/LVN is so worth it.

I even questioned myself. Saying its a woman's career. What is weird was an an EMT, the few male nurses I came across gave me so much encouragement, hope and guidance. I’m the type of person that works the best by myself. One of my dreams was to be a nurse. Friends and family discouraged me saying they don’t get paid enough, you’ll get burnt out, nursing school is hard, wanting to go on trips and spend money we don’t have just to stay broke… and I listened to them for years and did that. I’m now 26. I start my LPN program in January for a year. I put my foot down and told everyone that for a whole year, I will be focused on school and nothing else. I will be saving my money and to speak that negativity somewhere else! I am so excited and happy I decided to put myself first instead of the feelings of others and do what I want to do, not what they want me to do! This video spoke to me. No more dreaming, let’s do it! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

I have no family or anyone to support me and I’m in poverty so I can’t really afford to go to school without having a way to pay my bills. It seems simple to just “figure it out”, but a lot of people have support. It’s a while different story when you’re truly in poverty, not just “broke” and wanting to go to school

It was a great course and it does help you understand dosage calculations and medication, insurances. It is really up to you but if I had it to do over I would have complete me the LPN!
