    Check out T-LOW AUTOMATIC'S trap remix: / quick-minute-t-low-remix
    I practice in a studio near a lot of trap producers, and the track grew out of playing along with their crazy hi hats and 808 basses. The instruments are djembe, bongos, cabasa, hi hat, and snare, which might be obvious. What probably is not obvious is that the bass sound you hear (you do have a sub, don't you?) is the bottom of the djembe, miked with a kick mic. It has a booming, resonant sound that sounds absolutely massive on a good system.
    All of the machines are controlled by Arduino microcontrollers, which receive MIDI signals sent from a laptop running MAX/MSP. The main controller is an 84 LED button monster I call the Megnome. I use it for drum machines and synths. Conrollerism.com did a write-up on it: www.controlleri...

    Man, I can't believe you actually built a machine to electronically play a multitude of physical drums to digital rhythms with that kind of control. This concept is huge in my opinion. Beautifully filmed and recorded as well.

    So hardcore! I got the chills as I listened to the music at 0400 in the morning :D

    I agree. I mean, I see myself all the time. I'd rather look at machines.

    Right? Can't believe they didn't ask me to collaborate on Random Access Memories. I want to wear the sequin sport coat.

    wow, this is really amazing! can you please tell me what kind of solenoids you use? my experience with this kind of thing wasn't great: after a short time the solenoids became very weak and stopped working... looking for better ones!

    thank you, this is really an amazing website. can you please tell me what models you use? in the video they seem to be very solid and strong, this is what i'm looking for.

    Hey, great stuff. What's the setup you've got there? I'm looking to set up something similar at home. Any brands to look out for? Thanks!

    yea this has probably been already asked but do you sell the large red midi controller that your using for the drums? looks like a pain to build it but i would totally buy it

    Thanks, Fay! I buy all of my solenoids at solenoidcity[dot]com. Yes, that's a real website. But I build everything myself, so I don't have any musical robot brands to recommend.

    hey dear is their any design for arduino ??
    and what about frequency of playing a drum with fast and low mode?

    • @JazariMusic
      @JazariMusic  9 лет назад +2

      kamal sonani I forget the exact number, but the actuators on the bongos and djembe max out at about 15 - 20 hits/sec. Check out ruclips.net/video/YWGBDO0N2oM/видео.htmlm46s for an example. With more solenoids you could increase the frequency. I've got a slideshow on the controller here: docs.google.com/presentation/d/1o2I8dQnhTKCgiakCF5px4p4KY_yonwDm-MazNML9Qq0/edit?usp=sharing

    Thanks, Matheus. I buy my solenoids at solenoidcity[dot]com. They're not cheap, but they're durable.

    Did you patent this? Also, this video is longer than a " Quick Minute."
    If you are the first original creator of this design. Then, you can apply for a utility patent to protect your investment.
