The training capacity of these athletes is so incredible to me. It's insane that their bodies can handle this amount of volume and not require greater amounts of rest in order to keep improving
She's not on steroids. True Nords are generally f*****g huge. Iceland was settled by Vikings, and historically they've selected for size for generations. Furthermore, she's not shredded and her overall size is not abnormal for a woman. She doesn't exhibit any steroid signs either other than the traps and shoulders, which could be naturally developed for some women given her background. But even her traps aren't really roid-traps; they're basically kite-shaped, not like a hump around her neck. She's also trained for years full-time. This in itself improves your recovery speed. You get better at recovery the more you do it, to a limit. Also, multivitamins and protein supplements will greatly speed up your recovery for some people. I myself have tested this on myself, and it's not a placebo effect. Cross-Fitters are on more supplements than there are vitamin categories so I would expect she can hit it pretty hard.
Somehow, even though this was slow-paced, I never got bored. Her personality is just so pleasant and calming to watch. I always find it fascinating that hardcore athletes can be such chill people, yet they can dig up a beast when they train or compete.
Her physique is incredible, like the warrior women in a Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell painting. Her dedication to her sport is admirable. And her personality is endearing. No wonder she has a huge fan base. She's no doubt an inspiration to many young people who want to get into crossfit and sports.
