Fascia is not just muscle to muscle and it's not really connecting anything but it seperates the muscles and or other internal organs into compartments. They are three types of fascia:1. Superficial fascia which is loose areolar and fat adipose tissue. 2. Deep fascia is very condense and is associated with mostly muscle but is also found on nerves 3. Visceral fascia is found on internal organs. The visceral layer of the lungs is called the pleural, for the heart its called paricardia etc It's meant to reduce friction
I wish this video were downloaded 10 years ago so that I could score more marks in science and I might have become RN or doc. But I got creativity and skills since m an arts student. Proud of it 😇😇😇
Important info about muscle contractions: "Muscle contraction is the activation of tension-generating sites within muscle fibers. In physiology, muscle contraction does not necessarily mean muscle shortening because muscle tension can be produced without changes in muscle length such as holding a heavy book or a dumbbell at the same position"(Wikipedia). The different types of muscle contractions are Concentric contractions (shorten) Eccentric contractions (lengthen) Isometric contractions(remain the same). This difference then between extensions and contractions is that extensions are when muscle is being stretched without tension.

Remember guys if you're watching this to study for a test, it's not enough to just memorize these words. You have to actually understand what each term means and be comfortable using this type of anatomical language to discuss basic movements. If you don't start using this terminology in your everyday life it means you don't understand it yet
Dont worry yall here is an whole essay on the muscular system: The muscular system is composed of specialized cells called muscle fibers. Their predominant function is contractibility. Muscles, attached to bones or internal organs and blood vessels, are responsible for movement. Nearly all movement in the body is the result of muscle contraction. Exceptions to this are the action of cilia, the flagellum on sperm cells, and amoeboid movement of some white blood cells. The integrated action of joints, bones, and skeletal muscles produces obvious movements such as walking and running. Skeletal muscles also produce more subtle movements that result in various facial expressions, eye movements, and respiration. In addition to movement, muscle contraction also fulfills some other important functions in the body, such as posture, joint stability, and heat production. Posture, such as sitting and standing, is maintained as a result of muscle contraction. The skeletal muscles are continually making fine adjustments that hold the body in stationary positions. The tendons of many muscles extend over joints and in this way contribute to joint stability. This is particularly evident in the knee and shoulder joints, where muscle tendons are a major factor in stabilizing the joint. Heat production, to maintain body temperature, is an important by-product of muscle metabolism. Nearly 85 percent of the heat produced in the body in the resut of muscle contraction. if you need some more info here are links to useful vids and websites: www.innerbody.com/image/musfov.html training.seer.cancer.gov/anatomy/muscular/#:~:text=The%20muscular%20system%20is%20composed,the%20result%20of%20muscle%20contraction. kidshealth.org/en/kids/muscles.html hopefully this helped🥰😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
