I really respect Charlotte. She clearly knew that Jonathan was better than she was, not because she's bad, but because he is so incredibly good, and yet she risked the criticisms of holding him back, and of paling in comparison to him, in order to give him the confidence to make a career launching audition. What a beautiful friendship!! 💖

Your reaction was exactly the same as mine. He was 17 yrs old at the time and I've followed him ever since, he's 27 now and a world class tenor with fans from all over the world. He doesn't shake any more and his glorious voice has just got even better if that were possible. One thing that hasn't changed is his character, he's still a sweetheart who loves his fans as much as we all love him.

    • @jackwhitbread4583
      @jackwhitbread4583 2 года назад +1

Sorry but he's not a world class tenor since he hasn't appeared in 1 single opera, popera stars and opera stars are very different things. An opera star he is not, not matter how good his voice is, are you so dense that you think the opera is all about the voice? Even Pavarotti knew the voice was only a very small portion of what makes an opera star truly one of the greats

@@jackwhitbread4583 If that remark was aimed at me "are you so dense"??? Well back at ya chummy. I didn't say he was an opera star, (simply because he chooses not to sing in operas) I said he was a world class tenor *which he is* He has been classically trained, just like Pavarotti was. He is the most humble, kind and generous young man that I have ever encountered. He truly has a beautiful soul, and you add to that the fact that he has been blessed with a once in a lifetime voice that can bring the listener to tears, that's the whole package. I enjoy your reactions more than any other youtube reaction clips. You are so gentle and your honest teary reactions bring me to tears too. so many reaction clips stop and start. they waffle on without really listening to the words of the songs, just the sound of their own voices. Your reaction to Susan Boyle, one I have watched countless times, that still gives me goosebumps when I watch, was wonderful. You seem a really decent, feeling and kind person. ❤

What is wrong with Record companies that they can't find world class talent like this to nurture. So many talented people have to go on talent shows to get noticed. Jonathans voice should have been recognised years before. So glad he is at the top of his game. He has a rare talent.

How many times have I cried listening to this..Thanks for your lovely reaction...I hope things like this spread globally so that people will stop looking at the cover and reacting at another's appearance, it would be why the bleakness is spread...These two were wonderful together..

Watch Jonathan's eyes when he first starts to sing at about 2:22 minute mark in this video. he is unsure of himself. At about 2:42 mark his eyes show again and he realizes the audience is most favorably impressed. From then on he really lets go to show off. Good on him.

Jonathan is an active opera singer today and he sounds amazing. He and Charlotte do not perform together but he have gained confidence to perform on his own.

He isn't an active "Opera singer" because he has never appeared in any professional Opera's, he is an active Classical Crossover recording artist and concert performer in the same vein as; Andrea Bocelli, Russell Watson, Alfie Boe etc....

I was deeply touched by this audition, it gave me goosebumps and I cried because it was so beautiful, never apologise for having a beautiful soul ♥, music touches our souls and this definitely was one of those times .
The group Pentatonix, are amazing and song Hallelujah affects me and I listen to it all the time , magic . Maybe have a listen 🎶
Thank you for having so much passion 💗 I was crying with you

As a direct consequence of this audition, the pair were treated to a tour of Europe, Pavarotti's home, and sessions with some the best opera coaches. I watched some of those sessions on video. On hearing Jonathan, the coaches said "We have nothing more to teach you" What an enormous compliment. The pair did eventually go separate ways. He is opera and Charlotte really preferred musicals, so a parting was inevitable. She has my gratitude for I think he could never have made the leap without her.

I requested this video. Thank you so much🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
Jonathan is such a sweet guy, accessible, kind and friendly. Fans sent him gifts after BGT and he was like an excited kid!
He loves pokeman and super hardcore heavy metal. Lol.
My favorite songs of his are opera. He lives at home with his parents in the UK and has the latest studio equipment. He’s been on tour and has a measure of fame but i hope he reaches the very top in opera.
Jonathan Antoine has a RUclips channel. I hope you can react to more. There is a good documentary of Jonathan and Charlotte going to Italy (he belongs in Italy) and I love when the music opera expert guy listens to him, both of them, and gives tips.
Jonathan also sang Nessun Dorma from his home studio. Exquisite.
