They came 2nd . Lost to trick dog in final. Went on produce 2 LPs together before they split.. Charlotte went on to have a successful stage and record artist. Jonathon has gone on to become a well respected and highly successful Tenor on the world stage. Believe it or not. His voice has continued to mature and I would now place him in the top echelon!🥰
Jonathan went on to have a spectacular career. Saw him last in a sold out concert in Toronto shortly before COVID hit. He walked out on stage before even singing a note and the crowd went wild. He was amazing and he's just getting started 😊👏👏👏🎶
You didn’t factor in at there first audition the technician 👨🔧 didn’t know how to set there mic 🎤 frequency so Charlotte mic was too low cause they weren’t prepared for the power of Jonathan voice so he completely drowned out Charlotte. They fixed the technical issues that’s why she was better
Thank You, for reacting to this video. An update, After 2 successful albums and tour together, SONY offered them each a Solo Contract. Charlotte's album was released first. After, she returned to Music Arts School and graduated. She now has a successful career in Musical Theatre, which was always her dream, she has performed in London's West End! Both are doing what they love. Please react to Jonathan (Antoine) recent music video "Amazing Grace" it is beautiful to watch as well as listen to. Also, from his 2019 sold out concerts in Toronto, "Compass" which he dedicates to all the kids and adults who don't fit in. He has the rare talent to sing well in any genre. By the way, his favorite music to listen to is Heavy Metal.
Now listen to him sing Nessun Dorma, he has come such a long long way. Amazing voice. He is such a lovely humble Young man. It was life changing for him.
Loved your reaction to Carlotta and Jonathan. You may want to check out another act called Collabro. They won Britain’s Got Talent in 2014 and have been going strong ever since. Their latest release is an a cappella of Bridge Over Troubled Water. They do a lot of musical theatre, pop and a cappella. Truly amazing and powerful singers.
Jonathan has said in interview that going on BGT saved his life, because he was so low in his self estime. And he would never had gone on stage w/o Charlotte, so in a way she saved his life.
Actually, Jonathan saved his own life. I'm sure he's grateful for Charlotte's kind gesture -- encouraging him go with her. But in the end, he decided to go.
That is true. Jonathan was suicidal before BGT. Charlotte indeed helped save his life by being his friend and supporting him. I'm happy for her career in musical theater. Jonathan is, in my opinion, the greatest tenor of his generation.
Did a quick google they did split in February 2014, the duo decided to split after both having been offered solo record deals by Sony Classical. Charlotte released her first solo album, Solitaire, in July 2014. Jonathan released his first solo album, Tenore, in October 2014.
One of the things that stands out for me about this clip is how mature and important Charlotte is to this story. When I was her age I would for sure have been one of the people that made fun of Jonathan's size. But she is totally aware of how bullying affects someone like Jonathan. Not only that but you can tell towards the end of the clip that she realises that Johnathan has more natural talent than her and she accepts it in a really mature way. But it's obvious that without her, Jonathan wouldn't have been on stage and we would probably never have heard of him. Charlotte is as much a part of this little story as Jonathan.
The judges always judge people before hearing them. They also did this to Collabro, Paul Potts, and Susan Boyle You should see how the judges look at them with disdain and then see the £ signs in Simon Cowell's eyes. Look at all their auditions.
I can understand simons honesty also, and appreciate that. But no matter what it is, there is no easy way to tell someone they aren't good, or that someone else is simply better then them, you just have to be blunt and hope they take it well. And i am proud of her for doing so! She was obviously hurt but kept it in, and when Jonathan came back a second season alone, she was physically there to support him still ❤
watch the next performance... the semi final they sing Caruso ..he has a whole different attitude then...they came in second at the end but they both went on and made albums and later careers
They stayed together for 2 more years. Charlotte went on to find success in musical theater. Jonathan has become an international superstar. Pavarotti's voice coach listened to him and said there was nothing more he could teach him.
The best audition ever in the world Go have a look at Jonathan’s page he will blow you away he has a great group of friends and fans we are part of the Fantoines great review.
@@annother3350 unfortunately this does happen. I've had it happen to me where I got on stage to sing and because I do not have the perfect(in their eyes) female appearance people have booed me and ridiculed me before I even open my mouth.
@@thenerdytiger9306 That's because some of those producers are demonic. I stopped watching these types of shows before discovering Jonathan because they often included segments in which people were ridiculed. It was heartbreaking and I was amazed at how a crowd could be manipulated into behaving so viciously .And it was all for money. SMH .It had nothing to do with you. The crowd and you were set up. I hope you know that.
Its sucks so much when your growing up, and your big, or whatever, that peoples shitty words, can break a person ego and their feeling of self worth. I was bullied as a kid, i dreaded going to school everyday
Yeah Travis i hung around with kids who were not the most "popular" and i was popular and when kids made fun of my friends i would stand up to the kids who were being picked on. i never followed the crowd. so the sad part each day is hearing stories of kids being bullied and no one helps it hurts my heart it really does. this performance especially was very touching to my heart.
Jonathan is proof that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, I'm definitely for the talent someone brings and looks are totally irrelevant. When Michelle McManus won the second series of Pop idol, one of the judges Pete Waterman thought that she shouldn't be a star because of how she looked. Pete was a shallow a**hole and needed to seriously get out of the old school days
@@GhostMonkey111 it was good man. No complaints just know when it comes to shows I'm trying to finish them before diving into new ones. The faster I finish leaves me more wiggle room but I will get to the royle family def on my list. Happy and healthy for the new year homie!!!
I’ve been following Jonathan on RUclips for a while and the way he has blossomed is something to be behold tbh. If you look him up on his channel he does the best version of Unchained Melody I have ever heard. My opinion only of course but it moves me anyway. Simon Cowell on the other hand does nothing for me. I think it’s horrible how he treats people as commodities. Not good. 😔
I noticed the same reaction as he did to Susan Boyle, the condescending look, the impatient sounding questions like he just wants it to be done already, then they start to sing, and you literally see £££ signs light up his eyes like a one armed bandit.
@@Kazza_8240 yeah and there was a woman in the audience on the Susan Boyle one where she was rolling her eyes and being judgemental and I hear she still gets people stopping her in the street to have a go, even now 😬

My favorite moment of that whole performance was when Jonathan said, "We're going to stay here as a duo."
Watching Jonathan's first performance was magical. Ten years later, I am still his fan, and always will be.

Googled them:
Jonathan Antoine is an English singer who has a net worth of $4 million.
Charlotte Jaconelli has an estimated net worth of $1.7 million
Glad to see that they are doing well!

Jonathan's rendition of the late John Denver's "Country Roads" is one of my favourites cover version of that song.
Now listen to him sing Nessun Dorma, he has come such a long long way. Amazing voice. He is such a lovely humble Young man. It was life changing for him.
She did make a comeback, and Simon took back his words during their next performance. :)
