Most disappointing was rear cross traffic alert. I have a hardware 3 2023 Model 3 and if I’m parked between two cars, the crossing car is fully visible in the rearview screen before the red bar lights up. How is that helpful? If you’re not parked between two cars, then the repeater cameras will pick up the crossing car earlier.
My wife's Tesla got the holiday update weeks ago (still waiting for mine!). Also a huge fan of the quiet while reversing - helps a lot - I will be turning that on when my car gets the update.
What aboys me thet 😅here in the UK, we cannot get almost any of these updates. This is vert frustrating. What's more Tesla cannot give me any answer as to when the UK will get these updates.
What I find interesting after 3.5 years of M3 ownership is that they release these features that already should have been there (and many features that were available on other vehicals sooner) then push them to us as if they're gifts.
Hey Joy, Merry Christmas!! I've had the 2024 Christmas update for about 2 weeks now. I had the Watch App for Tesla prior to the update, but I like the Tesla watch app much better, I did not know about the red dot on the Dash Cam Viewer. Thank you so much for enlightening me about the red dot. Great presentation, Thank you so much.
Hey Tesla Joy, I mentioned the issue to a few folks where if the phone in the back pockets sometimes the car doors don't get unlocked. many have said that should not be the case, while i agree that should not be the case since its a Bluetooth key and having the phone in back pocket should not make a difference, does this mean we have a bug with ours?
I'm not sure if it was in the Christmas update or the one just a few days before, but I really like that they added Spotify access (without a premium subscription). They have 2 christmas channels and the more upbeat one has some great ones I've never heard (like Disco Santa which uses the YMCA tune).
I am in the Android ecosystem, so the most useful new feature for car trips is the ability to set SOC at the destination. Then I don’t need to bother with the better route planner app any more.
Thanks Joy, I’m looking forward to the rear cross traffic alert ‼️. I got really used to that feature in our other cars and was slightly bummed Tesla didn’t have it.
Still waiting for my 2024 model 3 to get the holiday update but I just received the FSD v13 update tonight. Have you received that update yet? Hopefully I’ll get the holiday update soon.
So that’s what I’m waiting for, as I’m currently driving on V12.5.6, and it’s quite dangerous, as the issues associated with earlier versions of the FSD software haven’t been corrected, as it still has phantom, braking, it still can’t seem to maintain the appropriate posted speed limits, even with speed offset off, and it won’t accurately in all situations follow navigation. I mean, this is totally unacceptable, it’s time to fix these problems. I’m so disappointed, and if Tesla is going to launch the Robo taxi next year, they simply can’t have this as a problem, it just won’t work, and it will kill any hope that we will ever see the day when our cars are fully autonomous, as that’s really where we’re trying to go here, not just a car that is fully self driving, but still needs a human to monitor it, it has to be able to do the complete job, independently of human interventions, and V12.5.6 isn’t it? Cheers 🥂
@@TeslaJoy oh ic, I had a 2018 model 3 also and earlier this year i bought the 2024 model 3 because they transferred the FSD to my new vehicle for free 😀😀😀
@@theodorehaskins3756 With v12.5.6, I don’t feel comfortable with the the braking profile at low speeds. A few days ago, FSD did a full emergency braking at the last millisecond, my MYLR almost rear-ended the car ahead of me. I have heard v13 has improvements in this area.
@ Exactly! That’s what I’m driving on now, and I do not trust it. I think there’s way too many regressions in this particular build/iteration and it absolutely needs to get fixed. I just heard on the radio this morning, that Elon Musk is gearing up for the launch of the mobile taxi next year in Texas, California, and so these things must be fixed by launch date that’s for sure. I also noticed I have an update pending on my phone, and I haven’t installed it yet, been stuck inside for the last 3 days nursing a nasty head cold, but I feel better today, and so hopefully at least by Friday, I can get back to my normal routine. Good luck have a great holiday. Stay safe. Cheers 🥂
aside from the 🍎⌚️, I really like the ability to move the passenger seat from the screen instead of having to lean all the way over and reach for the controls, upvoted!!
@@kai96370 your watch needs to be on Version 11, but mine is saying it’s current with Version 10.something. I haven’t been able to get it to update to Version 11.
The native Tesla Watch app is a big deal because 3rd party developers will have to pay a lot to use Tesla api’s, so some of them may just end their current watch apps because of the upcoming api costs!
Hey Joy! Yes, you are just weird, but in a good way!😁 I don’t want Tesla messing with the volume of my music, I don’t like that at all, and if there’s a way to defeat that feature, I hope someone out there can let me know, and I will instantly implement it. So thanks for the video, and the breakdown of all the new updated features, as I just looked at my phone, and I have another pending update, but I’m actually hoping it’s the V13 version of FSD, because I’m currently driving on V12.5.6, and I’m not happy with it. Thank you my friend!
Great video.
Apple Watch functionality
Galaxy watch uses Watt Time - works great

I agree with the lower volume when put in reverse:)
So weird, right? 😂
I got my tire rotation yesterday.

Dunno. My phone doesn’t unlock door if it’s in my back pocket. But I’ve been using Watch apps so not an issue for me.

I don’t think so.

What version of iOS or Watch-OS is required? I cannot get the Tesla app on my watch and cannot find information about dependencies…
The latest one.

It’s a nice integration, but I’m not using it as requiring my iPhone as the only key ensures I never forget my iPhone.
Please make sure you watch the video.
@TeslaJoy He might not have a cellular watch.. If he has only bluetooth, user needs to have phone still
Even with a BT Watch it’s still much easier to open the car door like I mentioned in the video.

The volume adjustment is optional. Just don’t turn it on.
