early meta progression/early stages are nothing compared to later stages with more meta progression, each stage is a big jump in difficulty and the recommend upgrades aren't enough usually lol also in early game you dont have as much unlocked so there is very little in terms of build variety. TLDR Early game is just the start and the more you play the better the game gets, like much better.
0.6 are completely difficult. HoloCure Team barely beat those with minimum upgrade requirements and settled with it. Imo, it's still early for those kinds of difficulty… the win rate should still be pretty high with the minimum upgrades until like… Stage 6.
@@ODDnanref Literally Stage 6 in the future… 0.8 HoloCure team barely beat the new 0.6 stages with so much attempts with the minimum upgrades… means the clear rate is low with the min. ups. but we're still at Stage 4 which imo should still be pretty high clear rate… like… 10% clear rate or 1 out of 5 runs with the min. ups. The problem is that, alooot of players already have maxed every upgrades, so maybe it's still good. Poor new players that have to grind upgrades, or get gud.
@@Reymax164 Ah, Maybe I have a biased view as I have seen people clear hard stages with no upgrades, no fan levels and no G ranks with main weapon only. Granted, I thought it was just me that was bad at the game. So, I guess it was not me.
Glad to see you enjoyed the game. Not sure what you discovered or chat told you about already so just in case I'll point of a few basics you really don't want to miss. In the shop there are some game mechanics tied behind buying their activation with holocoins. Things such as weapon stamps and skill enchantments need to be bought to see them in runs. Also an easily missed mechanic is how they made getting duplicates not worthless when playing the character unlock gacha. When you get a duplicate of a character you already have unlocked it raises their G.rank. Up to 20 times the g.rank increases HP, attack, and speed of the character by 1% per rank. I'm not sure if you noticed but the "skills" you picked never showed up on either row as abilities or items. Each character has 3 unique skills based on something about the character, and these skills each have three levels. Those skills make every character a pretty different experience to play. You can check what skills you have during a run from the pause menu with the skills button. Also if you find a character you really like and use it a lot it will build up "fandom" xp and as that rank rises you eventually start each run with one random skill at level one from the start, then you get all 3 at level one when starting runs, and finally at max fandom you start runs with all 3 unique skills maxed. I really love that the only way to reach that level is actually using the character a lot so you already know what the skills are and how they affect gameplay.
Someone in chat already spoiled it all, unfortunately. But I personally like figuring games mechanics out for myself, so next time try not to spoil it for me.
All weapons and items are based off of either the idol culture as a whole, or the Holo character themselves. For example, Plug Type Asacoco is a reference to the late Kiryu Coco of JP 4th Gen. During one of her meme reviews, she saw a meme referencing how she was supposed to sleep, with her tits being bowling ball sized and her tail being fucking massive so all sleeping positions are compromised. She then revealed her tail is actually a butt plug very casually. In case you couldn't tell, she's one of the more vulgar members. And then there's a weapon called CEO's Tears in reference to the CEO Yagoo (coined by Subaru). He originally made Hololive with the hopes it'd be an Idol Agency... But thanks to members like Coco and Marine, it was more like a comedy troupe. With every vulgar referencing to the CEO's crushed hopes and dreams. Nevertheless the dude's actually a very good sport and is supportive of the talents despite the jokes at his expense. Hololive lore is... Something. You don't need to know anything about it if you wanna get into the fangames, but it'd help you get into the culture if you really wanna dive into the comedy group that is Hololive
on the topic of nausea, check the game visual settings you can turn down the opacity of your attacks. You can blend the attacks into the background to see better. without it I would never be able to play the game.
During that run, you were really close to being able to make a super collab which is an even stronger version of a collab that you can create by combining a collab with an item
2:31 so the ko basically means `instantly kill` so you have a 5% chance to jsut kill the mobs, regardless of the dmg your weapon deals with said skill. skills are character specific and take no slot.
yes KO is a boxing term, it means "Knock Out" as in to knock them unconscious. you are supposed to be saving the fans not killing them. thats probably why they went with KO instead of insta-kill.
To answer some questions as they come up: 2:26 Skills - each character has a main weapon and 3 skills unique to them. The skills do not take slots. These unique skills and weapons make every character play very different from each other. For example, Calli's vtuber character is a soul reaper, so her skills and weapons all revolve around death - gaining bonuses for killing enemies that make it easier to kill enemies. As such, she's a very momentum based character. On the other hand, another character like Tokino Sora might have skills that deal damage whenever she heals, making her go much more of a "always be healing" build. 3:25 "Does the exp change when I leave it on the ground?" - experience will occasionally "merge" if there are too many on screen. Most survivor-likes will do this to save computing resources. The amount doesn't change, but you might have 2 1xp pip merge into a single 2xp pip. 6:30 The guy on the statue - That is Motoaki "Yagoo" Tanigou, the CEO of the company that owns Hololive. Yagoo is beloved by the community and is a surprisingly good sport about being the joke of many of the community's jokes. Even his nickname Yagoo comes from one of the talents misreading his name Tanigou as Yagoo. He is everyone's best girl. >it seems someone jumps into chat after this to start explaining things live.
I know blue name guy in chat means well, but please just let the streamer play the game. Backseating can really drain a lot of fun out of playing something new. Also, if the attacks are making you woozy or just hurting your eyes, you can lower the attack opacity in settings. You can also turn off other effects like the damage numbers. It helps clear up the screen and makes it less overwhelming.
this lvl is basically tutorial, lv 2-3 are still fairly easy aswell starting stage 4 and the hard stages , thats when you get into the meat of the game. dont forget to but the special atk in the shop ->upgrades .
