Lets not forget the stormcharge which further killed the stryfe but the thunderbolt made both of them look like 3D printed garbage,whats next a rival version of the stryfe to further burry the original into the ground ngl that would be cool AF but this is just madness at this point
Nah, the Stryfe was dead before the Spectrum was even released.
Hasbro killed it themselves. They raised the price and just stopped making them in favor of the (Shitty) E2.0 Phoenix.
The Spectrum and Phoenix both hit shelves around the same time in late 2020… so yeah, the Stryfe was already dead.
You know what I don’t necessarily think the spectrum is a stryfe killer it’s just a gun that does a similar thing, but with more power sure you guys say that it will replace the stryfe but the spectrum isn’t even made by Nerf. It’s not a stryfe killer it’s a spectrum.
I’m glad that they made a spectrum with seemingly nicer ergonomics. If this gets a banshee cage it may be a good competitor for the stryfe as a primary flywheel setup
it’s absolutely awesome to see Dart Zone take what we loved from the Spectrum and change aspects of the blaster such as the stock and muzzle to make it much more accustomed to our community!

I'm more of a springer fan, but it's nice to see that Dart Zone are still making good casual blasters instead of focusing purely on pro stuff.
Do you mainly focus on pro level or more standard/sambo style games?

I wouldn’t mind it being a little longer with a rail for undermounted stuff or a foregrip of choice. It’s extra, adds a little barrel drag and weight but I do really like the feeling of a two-hands primary
I think the hobby is always going to benefit from have a good commercial semi auto flywheeler available and I think this is a great blaster for that spot. I want to tac rail the heck out of it, and cover it in out of darts rail blasters.

Stryfes have a lot more modularity and compatibility with the various mod kits they’ve released and the basic attachments. You’ll be alright

Even Nerf's "Good" gun, the Stormcharge, gets squashed by this.

First Zuru makes a cheap pro level blaster with lots of modding options, now this takes over for the into flywheel. Hasbro needs to focus less on politics pushing and more on designs.
Great another awesome blaster we can't get here in the UK. The only option for us is the elite 2.0 😢 and for a s stryfe gotta find a second hand one is the only option we have.

Yep, for us here in the UK it’s Nerf or Zuru X-shot. Once Zuru bring out their own small fly wheeler that will be a game changer and they must be heading that way
And we don’t see anyone selling even some of the newer Nerf blasters such as the storm charge or trailblazer

Does it still have the Spectrum mag release issue with 18rd mag bumps?
Hopefully not. They did fix the problem with the shape of the magwell, so I suppose they fixed the issue with the mag release as well.

I like my spectrum. But damn am I tempted to grab one of those. Does it has a higher FPS?
Ever so slightly, it hits about 5-10 fps harder, in the debut video from prime time toys for it it hit around 111-115
I don't think this kills the stryfe. The stryfe should be treated as the modders blaster of aesthetics and cool stuff. Where these newer blasters that do exactly what a stryfe does should only be gotten if you don't already have and spent 200$ on a stryfe and broke it like me leaving the 3s lipo inside connected. So if you don't have a stryfe gets something like this.

At least on mine, I've not experienced any mag squish, and the stock has a stop. Either A. They fixed the issues with it, or B. just a quality thing

Glad to see an even better blaster being offered from Dart Zone. It's a shame many kids will grab the inferior Fort Nite blasters because of the name.
I own one and I put a gel M4 blaster stock on it. I also removed the front gray grip
You can tell your dog I was already sold on the blaster, it didn't need to try to sell it that hard to me. But I mean if I hadn't been, I would be now, so there's that.
First thing I did when I got mine was to remove the retical in the optic. There was so much stuff in there I could not see a damn thing through it.
Spectrum Re-skins?? Nerfs only saving grace right now is the Double Punch.

i feel like if you’re gonna test it the malfunction has gotta be part of the test, but honestly even with the malfunction it seemed to do more damage
Stryfe is still the best mod platform of all time. Whenever they go on sale, I still buy a few.
I still have a few spares as well. The orange ones are just gorgeous, efficient, lots of rails, just the perfect flywheel blaster... aside from the rayven cough cough. But yeah, this dart zone thing looks like it's from the dollar store in comparison to the stryfe.
The N-strike buffer tube stock is sweet!

Given that Dart Zone already released the Mk 3 which I honestly think is a little better then this one. This to me is them exclusively trying to beat the stryfe and establish themselves as the new 'standard'.

There’s no such thing as a stryfe killer, but there is a spectrum if that’s what you mean a spectrum is a low-cost professional grade blaster, made for professional use by dart zone same thing with the thunderbolt a stryfe was a small, semi automatic pistol meant for easy, play and fun
I hope that dart zone starts making more half dart flywheel basters, that can take lipos out of the box, because don't have many Hobie grade stock flywheelers that are injection molded.

I would assume not but someone will probably make a short dart pusher for it not long after it comes out. But if you do that there will be probably other mods you would want to do.
I like the spectrum better. More tacti-cool, and esthetically better in every way.
