I used to be the fastest in my whole apartment but after quarantine I have became slower than i used to and If I try to use my whole power so my legs will give up. It feels very bad and specially when friends tell you that you are slow and I'm faster 😭😭😭
I made my high schools soccer team in 2020 and I haven’t been in soccer since like third grade (I was a sophomore then, now I’m a senior) so I was happy that I made it but then covid happened and the season was canceled and then this last year I did virtual school and didn’t know they had tryouts so now I am watching soccer tip videos and conditioning myself months before needed. I want to be better than I was two years ago, and better than I was yesterday. The grind don’t stop.
His explanation of the importance of teaching muscles how to use them using a water bottle is brilliant. That convinced me of the importance of this training.
Great for every player! But one note work on your touch and ball control and you will play longer. A game based on simply being faster comes to a end take it from a guy who was fast both over distance and quickness to avoid tackles but... I’m 55 now and it’s been a long time since I was the fastest guy on the pitch. If you are not fast don’t worry develop ball control and vision and it won’t matter as when you have great control the game will seem slower. You don’t need to run fast to play fast. Let the ball do the work let your vision and anticipation make up for marking quick players. you can beat even fast players to the ball. you can move the ball quicker when your first touch is better then everyone. when you play with your head up you think faster then other players you can more then make up for not being the quickest. And you can still follow this advice in the video to work on speed as speed of foot helps. (When you are fast it is great to simply be able to just run past players but there is usually someone out there quicker or just as quick. And as you age you will slow down
Do paused barbell squats and bulgarian split squats. Most people lack simple leg and core strength. Squats will fix this. It will also improve your vertical jump. Romanian deadlifts are also great for hip hinge power.
@@johnchipozgambo As a defender, the skills you would need are jockeying and sliding tackle. When to mark when to tackle, it depends on your defending mentality and it is from advices from others and your own experience on the field

Confidence is the best part of football just feel comfortable feel like your playing in the park don’t over due it just do it at the right moments Try take long shots because it will boost your confidence don’t care what your teammates say do it for you how can you improve

If you’re in midfield speed is important but you should work on your insurance the most because if you’re winded really early in the game you’re not as useful as you were in the beginning. Good luck in midfield!!!

came back to this video again. one clarification request... the work to rest ratios seem excessive? I have my players do some intense foot skills/dribbling activities for say 1 minute... but then they would need to rest for 20 minutes???

The ratio is minutes to seconds. 1:20 means Rest 20 seconds for every minute of work.
